This study perceives the developing process of a parameterization modeling in Grasshopper(R)for complex surfaces using building simulation,considering Annual Average of Hourly Radiation as the *** major goal of this article is to create,simulate and analyze through factorial analysis a modular canopy,based on *** methodology applied consisted of the selection of the form,canopy parameterization,factorial analysis and simulation for ***(R),together with EnergyPlusTM,were used to carry out the *** object of study was the process of creation of a *** countries with hot and humid climates,such as Brazil,the roofing areas are critical parts of building envelopes,highly susceptible to solar *** simulation was performed for a full year for Vi(c)osa,MG(Latitude 20°45′14″S,Longitude 42°52′55″W,Altitude 648 m),but due to parameterization,the canopy can be simulated anywhere *** main results,the factorial analysis contributed for determining that the slope of the canopy was the most robust factor to the detriment of the cardinal and collateral *** the best case scenario,the simulation generated levels of comfort of about 74.0%with 15.4%Hot and 10.6%cold for natural conditioned spaces.

We use the recently discovered simple photometric parameter central Intensity Ratio(cIR)determined for a sample of 57 nearby(zcentral features of galaxies and their possible connection with galaxy *** sample of galaxies shows strong anti-correlation between cIR and mass of their central supermassive black holes(SMBHs).The SMBH masses of ellipticals are systematically higher for a given cIR value than those for lenticulars and spirals in the ***,the correlation between cIR and central velocity dispersion is *** appears less influenced by the excess flux produced by the central engine in these galaxies,when compared to spectroscopic parameters like velocity dispersion and OⅣflux,and proves to be a fast and reliable tool for estimating central SMBH mass.

In this study,an artificial neural network(ANN)is developed to predict the performance of a spark-ignition engine using waste pomegranate ethanol blends.A series of experiments on a single-cylinder,four-stroke spark-ignition engine yielded the data needed for neural network training and validation.70 percent of the experimental data was used to train the network using the feed-forward back propagation(FFBP)*** developed network model’s performance was evaluated by contrasting its output with experimental *** parameters included engine speed,ethanol blends,and output parameters included indicated and brake power,thermal,volumetric,and mechanical *** and testing data had regression coefficients that were almost identical to *** research revealed that the ANN model can be a better option for predicting engine performance with a higher level of accuracy.

In this study,we applied the variational model to fluidization of small spherical *** experiments were carried out for spherical particles with 13 diameters between dp=0.13 and 5.00 *** propose a generalized form of our variational model to predict the superficial velocity U and interphase drag coefficientβby introducing an exponent n to describe the different dependences of the drag force Fd on fluid velocity for different particle sizes(different flow regimes).By comparing the predictions with the experimental results,we conclude that n=1 should be used for small particles(dpd n=2 for larger particles(dp>1 mm).This conclusion is generalized by proposing n=1 for particles with Retd n=2 for particles with Ret>*** average mean absolute error was 5.49%in calculating superficial velocity for different bed voidages using the modified variational model for all of the particles *** calculated values ofβwere compared with values of literature models for particles with dpdified variational model was 8.02%in calculatingβfor different bed voidages for all of the particles examined.

Aim: To evaluate the antireproductive effect of paracetamol in male rats. Methods: Male rats were orally adminis-tered daily with 500 mg/kg or 1000 mg/kg of paracetamol for 30 consecutive days. Their sexual behaviour and fertilitywere evaluated using receptive females. Results: At 2 h after treratment, sexual behaviour was not inhibited but onday 30 both doses of paracetamol caused marked impairment of libido (assessed by % mounting, % intromission and% ejaculation), sexual vigour (number of mounts and intromissions and copulatory efficiency) or sexual performance(intercopulatory interval). In mating experiments, the fertility (in terms of quantal pregnancy, fertility index, implan-tation index and number of implants) was significantly reduced. All these effects were reversible. The antireproductiveeffect was not due to a general toxicity but due to an increase in pre-implantation losses resulting from oligozoospermia,impairments of normal and hyper-activated sperm motility, and reduction in the fertilizing potential of ***: Long-term use of high doses of paracetamol may be detrimental to male reproductive competence.( Asian J Andro12000 dec; 2: 247-255 )

Effect of piperine on the epididymis of adult male rats

Aim： To study the effect of piperine on the epididymal antioxidant system of adult male rats. Methods： Adult male rats were orally administered piperine at doses of 1 mg/kg, 10 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg body weight each day for 30 consecutive days. Twenty-four hours after the last treatment, the rats were weighed and killed with ether and the epididymis was dissected from the bodies. Sperm collected from the cauda region of the epididymis was used for the assessment of its count, motility and viability. caput, corpus and cauda regions of the epididymis were separated and homogenized separately to obtain 10 % homogenates. The supernatants were used for the assays of sialic acid, superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, lipid peroxidation and hydrogen peroxide generation. Results： Body weight of the piperine-treated rats remained unchanged. The weights of the caput, corpus and cauda regions of the epididymis significantly decreased at dose of 100 mg/kg. Epididymal sperm count and motility decreased at 10 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg, and sperm viability decreased significantly at 100 mg/kg. Sialic acid levels in the epididymis decreased significantly at 100 mg/kg while significant decrease in the cauda region alone was observed at 10 mg/kg. A significant decline in the activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase, along with an increase in hydrogen peroxide generation and lipid peroxidation were observed at 10 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg. conclusion： Piperine caused a decrease in the activity of antioxidant enzymes and sialic acid levels in the epididymis and thereby increased reactive oxygen species levels that could damage the epididymal environment and sperm function.

A field experiment with cotton was conducted on a well drained, calcareous, clay loamy Typic Xerochreptto investigate the utility of sewage sludge as a partial substitute for fertilizers and the influence of its application on the basic soil properties and heavy metal concentrations. The experimental design was completelyrandomized blocks with five treatments replicated four times each. Sewage sludge came from the treatmentplant of the municipality of Volos, central Greece, with the following characteristics: organic matter content36.6 %, pH (H2O 1:5) 6.89, cacO3 53.4 g kg-1 , total N 26.5 g kg--1, total P 33.5 g kg--1 , and total K 968mg kg--1 soil. Heavy metal concentrations were cd 5.24, Pb 442, Ni 38, cu 224, Zn 1 812, and Mn 260 mgkg--1 dry weight, respectively. The soil was high in potassium (K) and poor in available phosphorus (P). Theresults showed that sewage sludge application increased cotton yield and K and P concentrations in cottonleaves. Soil pH was reduced in the case of higher sewage sludge rate. Electrical conductivity, organic mattercontent, total N, and available P were significantly increased. Total concentrations of Zn, Pb, and cu wereslightly increased. dTPA-extractable Zn, cu and Mn were also significantly increased. Available forms ofall heavy metals, except cd, were significantly correlated with organic matter content in a positive way andnegatively with soil pH.
