Effects of dietary hemp seed oil to sows on fatty acid profiles,nutritional and immune status of piglets

Background:The oil from industrial hemp seeds(cannabis sativa)is an ideal source of stearidonic acid,which is a precursor fatty acid for the long-chained n-3 polyunsaturated fatty *** fatty acids are important for neonatal development,health and *** seed oil has been investigated for the influence on human health,but research on the impact in pig nutrition is *** aim of our research was to study the effect of dietary hemp seed oil relative to soybean oil to lactating sows on the transfer of fatty acids to the off-spring and the effect on piglets’immune and nutritional ***:The fatty acid composition of the hemp seed and the soybean oil influenced the fatty acid composition of sow plasma,colostrum and mature *** highest proportion of c18:3n-3,c18:4n-3 and c20:4n-6 was obtained in mature milk fat of sows fed 5%hemp seed oil diet when compared to the other dietary fat sources(5%soybean oil or a 50:50 mix of hemp and soybean oil at 5%).The effect of dietary oil supplementation to sows was reflected in the plasma fatty acids profile of *** the proportion of c20:5n-3 and c22:5n-3 was the highest in plasma of piglets suckling sows fed hemp seed oil-containing diets,whereas no c18:4n-3 could be detected hence indicating conversion ofα-linolenic acid(ALA)and stearidonic acid(SdA)to the longer chained n-3 polyunsaturated fatty *** fat source also influenced number of born piglets,their weight gain during first week,plasma concentration of glucose and IgG,and haematological ***:The hemp seed oil resulted in direct maternal supply with n-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids(LcPUFA),especially ALA and SdA,and piglets were able to convert these fatty acids obtained via the sow milk intake to c20:5n-3 and c22:***,some interesting effects of the 5%hemp seed oil was obtained with regard to piglet initial body weight gain and glucose,which could be of interest for further research,i.e.,the

Elastoplastic homogenization of particulate composites complying with the Mohr–coulomb criterion and undergoing isotropic loading

This work aims at determining the overall response of a two-phase elastoplastic composite to isotropic loading. The composite under investigation consists of elastic particles embedded in an elastic perfectly plastic matrix governed by the Mohr-coulomb yield criterion and a non-associated plastic flow rule. The composite sphere assemblage model is adopted, and closed-form estimates are derived for the effective elastoplastic properties of the composite either under tensile or compressive isotropic loading. In the case when elastic particles reduce to voids, the composite in question degenerates into a porous elastoplastic material. The results obtained in the present work are of interest, in particular, for soil mechanics.

Fermion bound states in geometrically deformed backgrounds

This work deals with the behavior of fermions in the background of kinklike structures in the twodimensional spacetime. The kinklike structures appear from bosonic scalar field models that engender distinct profiles and interact with the fermion fields via the standard Yukawa coupling. We first consider two models that engender parity symmetry, one leading to the exclusion of fermion bound states, and the other to the inclusion of bound states, when the parameter that controls the bosonic structure varies from zero to unity. We then investigate a third model where the kinklike solution explicitly breaks parity symmetry, leading to fermion bound states that are spatially asymmetric.

Remittances for disaster Risk Management: Perspectives from Pacific Island Migrants Living in New Zealand

In many low-income countries, migrant remittances are essential in sustaining people's livelihoods and become even more important during and after ***, policymakers, and practitioners increasingly emphasize the need to better support this people-based mechanism, so disaster risk can be reduced. This suggests the importance of understanding migrants' perspectives on the remittance channels used and the challenges and opportunities of supporting remittances. However, such information is largely missing. drawing on interviews and a focus group discussion carried out with Pacific Island migrants living in New Zealand, the article identifies the capacity of migrants to utilize different remittance channels and resources to assist those affected in their country of origin. challenges faced include high transfer fees, lack of information and support from external stakeholders, and limited resources to effectively send both individual and collective remittances. The article concludes that there is a serious need to involve a large array of stakeholders in finding ways to better support remittances for disaster risk management, including migrants, government agencies, the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, and those receiving remittances.

In this paper, we deal with nonlinear ill-posed problems involving m-accretive mappings in Banach spaces. We consider a derivative and inverse free method for the imple- mentation of Lavrentiev regularization method. Using general HSlder type source condition we obtain an optimal order error estimate. Also we consider the adaptive parameter choice strategy proposed by Pereverzev and Schock （2005） for choosing the regularization parameter.

Enhanced Reliability in Network Function Virtualization by Hybrid Hexagon-cost Efficient Algorithm

In this,communication world, the Network Function Virtualization concept is utilized for many businesses, small services to virtualize the network nodefunction and to build a block that may connect the chain, communication ***, Virtualized Network Function Forwarding Graph (VNF-FG) has beenused to define the connection between the VNF and to give the best end-to-endservices. In the existing method, VNF mapping and backup VNF were proposedbut there was no profit and reliability improvement of the backup and mapping ofthe primary VNF. As a consequence, this paper offers a Hybrid Hexagon-costEfficient algorithm for determining the best VNF among multiple VNF and backing up the best VNF, lowering backup costs while increasing dependability. TheVNF is chosen based on the highest cost-aware important measure (cIM) rate,which is used to assess the relevance of the VNF forwarding *** achieveoptimal cost-efficiency, VNF with the maximum cIM is selected. After the selection process, updating is processed by three steps which include one backup VNFfrom one SFc, two backup VNF from one Service Function chain (SFc),and twobackup VNF from different SFc. Finally, this proposed method is compared withcERA, Mincost, MaxRbyInr based on backup cost, number of used PN nodes,SFc request utility, and latency. The simulation result shows that the proposedmethod cuts down the backup cost and computation time by 57% and 45% compared with the cER scheme and improves the cost-efficiency. As a result, this proposed system achieves less backup cost, high reliability, and low timeconsumption which can improve the Virtualized Network Function operation.

A statistical method for the evaluation of projectile dispersion

As part of a research program, an extensive study on the dispersion characteristics of eight different7.62 ? 51 mm ammunition types was conducted. The paper presents the main steps in the experimental and analytical process carried out to evaluate, namely to measure and compare, the dispersion characteristics of the ammunitions; namely,(1) identify the number of rounds to fire in the trials,(2) establish a test plan and the setup for the precision trials,(3) fire the rounds, following an established protocol for the experiments,(4) collect the impact points, and measure the performance through statistical measures,(5) perform a statistical analysis of dispersion applied to the results obtained in the trials, and(6)conclude on the ammunition characteristics. In particular, the paper proposes a statistical method to evaluate the precision of ammunitions fired with precision(Mann) barrels. The practical method relies on comparison of confidence intervals and hypothesis testing on the standard deviation of samples,namely the impact points. An algorithm is proposed to compare the variances of two or more populations of ammunitions.

co-evolution of nuclear rings,bars and the central intensity ratio of their host galaxies

Using a sample of 13 early-type spiral galaxies hosting nuclear rings,we report remarkable correlations between the properties of the nuclear rings and the central intensity ratio(cIR) of their host *** cIR,a function of intensity of light within the central 1.5 and 3 arcsec region,is found to be a vital parameter in galaxy evolution,as it shares strong correlations with many structural and dynamical properties of early-type galaxies,including mass of the central supermassive black hole(SMBH).We use archival HST images for aperture photometry at the centre of the galaxy image to compute the *** observe that the relative sizes of nuclear rings and ring cluster surface densities strongly correlate with the *** correlations suggest reduced star formation in the centres of galaxies hosting small and dense nuclear *** scenario appears to be a consequence of strong bars as advocated by the significant connection observed between the cIR and bar *** addition,we observe that the cIR is closely related with the integrated properties of the stellar population in the nuclear rings,associating the rings hosting older and less massive star clusters with low values of ***,the cIR can serve as a crucial parameter in unfolding the coupled evolution of bars and rings as it is intimately connected with both their properties.

Experimental study on the microstructural and anti-corrosion behaviour of co-deposition Ni-co-SiO_2 composite coating on mild steel

Mild steel is commonly used in the construction of Pipeline. The major problem of this Pipeline is corrosion. Effort is make my researchers to combat this problem. In this work co-deposition of Ni-coSiO_2 composite coating on mild steel was reported with the view to reduce this problem. The SiO_2 was varies from 5 to 25 wt% in the deposition. The microstructure, hardness values and potentiodynamic polarization in simulated sea water were determined. The results show that XRd pattern of the Ni co deposited mild steel revealed the presence hard phases of NiO, co_5Ni, co_2Ni_3, Ni co5 while that of Ni-coSiO_2 deposited mild steel revealed the presence harder phases of NiOSiO_2, coNi_7Si_2, co_5Ni_2Si_3. The Nico-25 SiO_2 deposited sample has smaller particle size than Ni-10 co coating. coating thickness of 110.7 mm was obtained for Ni-10 co coating, while coating thickness of 135.7, 157.7, 165.0 mm were obtained at Ni-10 co-x SiO_2(x=10, 15, 25 wt%). 99.90% corrosion resistance was achieved at Ni-co-25 SiO_2. This improvement in corrosion resistance after composites coating could be attributed to the hard and fine structure obtained after coating.

NUMERIcAL SOLUTIONS OF INcOMPRESSIBLE EULER ANd NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS BY EFFIcIENT dIScRETE SINGULAR cONVOLUTION METHOd

An efficient discrete singular convolution (dSc) method is introduced to the numerical solutions of incompressible Euler and Navier-Stokes equations with periodic boundary conditions. Two numerical tests of two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations with periodic boundary conditions and Euler equations for doubly periodic shear layer flows are carried out by using the dSc method for spatial derivatives and fourth-order Runge-Kutta method for time advancement, respectively. The computational results show that the dSc method is efficient and robust for solving tho problems of incompressible flows, and has the potential of being extended to numerically solve much broader problems in fluid dynamics.
