Characterization of early maturing elite genotypes based on MTsI and MGIdI indexes:an illustration in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)

Background Globally,the cultivation of cotton is constrained by its tendency for extended periods of *** maturity plays a potential role in rainfed-based multiple cropping system especially in the current era of climate *** the current study,a set of 20 diverse Gossypium hirsutum genotypes were evaluated in two crop seasons with three planting densities and assessed for 11 morphological traits related to early *** study aimed to identify genotype(s)that mature rapidly and accomplish well under diverse environmental conditions based on the two robust multivariate techniques called multi-trait stability index(MTsI)and multi-trait genotype-ideotype distance index(MGIdI).Results MTsI analysis revealed that out of the 20 genotypes,three genotypes,viz.,NNdC-30,A-2,and s-32 accomplished well in terms of early maturity traits in two ***,three genotypes were selected using MGIdI method for each planting densities with a selection intensity of 15%.The strengths and weaknesses of the genotypes selected based on MGIdI method highlighted that the breeders could focus on developing early-maturing genotypes with specific traits such as days to first flower and boll *** selected genotypes exhibited positive genetic gains for traits related to earliness and a successful harvest during the first and second ***,there were negative gains for traits related to flowering and boll *** The study identified three genotypes exhibiting early maturity and accomplished well under different planting *** multivariate methods(MTsI and MGIdI)serve as novel approaches for selecting desired genotypes in plant breeding programs,especially across various growing *** methods offer exclusive benefits and can easily construe and minimize multicollinearity issues.

Lower back pain is one of the most common medical problems in the world and it is experienced by a huge percentage of people *** to its ability to produce a detailed view of the soft tissues,including the spinal cord,nerves,intervertebral discs,and vertebrae,Magnetic Resonance Imaging is thought to be the most effective method for imaging the *** semantic segmentation of vertebrae plays a major role in the diagnostic process of lumbar *** is difficult to semantically partition the vertebrae in Magnetic Resonance Images from the surrounding variety of tissues,including muscles,ligaments,and intervertebral discs.U-Net is a powerful deep-learning architecture to handle the challenges of medical image analysis tasks and achieves high segmentation *** work proposes a modified U-Net architecture namely MU-Net,consisting of the Meijering convolutional layer that incorporates the Meijering filter to perform the semantic segmentation of lumbar vertebrae L1 to L5 and sacral vertebra ***-colour mask images were generated and used as ground truth for training the *** work has been carried out on 1312 images expanded from T1-weighted mid-sagittal MRI images of 515 patients in the Lumbar spine MRI dataset publicly available from Mendeley *** proposed MU-Net model for the semantic segmentation of the lumbar vertebrae gives better performance with 98.79%of pixel accuracy(PA),98.66%of dice similarity coefficient(dsC),97.36%of Jaccard coefficient,and 92.55%mean Intersection over Union(mean IoU)metrics using the mentioned dataset.

A comprehensive investigation on nonlinear vibration and bending characteristics of bio-inspired helicoidal laminated composite structures

Bio-inspired helicoidal composite laminates, inspired by the intricate helical structures found in nature, present a promising frontier for enhancing the mechanical properties of structural designs. Hence, this study provides a comprehensive investigation into the nonlinear free vibration and nonlinear bending behavior of bio-inspired composite plates. The inverse hyperbolic shear deformation theory(IHsdT) of plates is employed to characterize the displacement field, with the incorporation of Green-Lagrange nonlinearity. The problem is modeled using the C0finite element method(FEM), and an in-house code is developed in the MATLAB environment to solve it numerically. Various helicoidal layup configurations including helicoidal recursive(HR), helicoidal exponential(HE), helicoidal semi-circular(Hs), linear helicoidal(LH), and Fibonacci helicoidal(FH)with different layup sequences and quasi-isotropic configurations are studied. The model is validated, and parametric studies are conducted. These studies investigate the effects of layup configurations, side-to-thickness ratio, modulus ratios, boundary conditions, and loading conditions at different load amplitudes on the nonlinear vibration and nonlinear bending behaviors of bio-inspired composite plates. The results show that the laminate sequence exerts a substantial impact on both nonlinear natural frequencies and nonlinear bending behaviors. Moreover, this influence varies across different side-to-thickness ratios and boundary conditions of the bio-inspired composite plate.

Hidden periodicity in stripe 82 with saraswati supercluster—a fractal analysis

The manuscript attempts to explore the periodicity in the distribution of galaxies in the recently reported saraswati supercluster and the stripe 82 region containing it as an *** report of 120 Mpc periodicity in the Abell galaxy clusters by power spectrum analysis is the motivation behind the *** power spectral analysis across the central part of the stripe 82 region shows a periodic variation of 3.09°or 71 Mpc in fractal dimension whereas an average angular periodicity of 3.45°or 94 Mpc is observed across the stripe 82 *** refers to the periodicity of complexity or cluster density of galaxy *** texture of the distribution pattern understood through lacunarity analysis indicates a near symmetric *** dimensions like box-counting dimension,information dimension and correlation dimension are also found through multifractal *** the information dimension tells about the distribution density of galactic points,the correlation dimension details the distribution of galaxies in the neighbourhood.

Laser-induced thermal lens study of the role of morphology and hydroxyl group in the evolution of thermal diffusivity of copper oxide

The paper explores the evolution of thermal behavior of the material by studying the variations in thermal diffusivity using the single beam thermal lens(TL) technique. For this purpose, the decomposition of Cu(OH)_(2) into CuO is studied in a time range up to 120 h, by subjecting the sample to morphological, structural, and spectroscopic characterizations. The time evolution of thermal diffusivity can be divided into three regions for demonstrating the dynamics of the reaction. When the reaction is complete, the thermal diffusivity is also found to be saturated. In addition to the morphological modifications,from rods to flakes, the variations in the amount of hydroxyl group are attributed to be responsible for the enhancement of base fluid's thermal diffusivity by 165%. Thus the study unveils the role of hydroxyl groups in the thermal behavior of CuO.

Junction Point Elimination based Tamil Handwritten Character Recognition:An Experimental Analysis

Optical Character Recognition is the mechanical or electronic conversion of images of typed,handwritten or printed text into machine-encoded text for online reading and *** this OCR technique,Tamil handwritten character recognition is one of the most needed and challengeable subjects of *** encounter between selection and extraction of proper features eliminates the issues faced by the Tamil handwritten *** character and the writers complexities are the major difficulties and challenges faced by this recognition ***,the character complexity can be overcome by any pre-extraction or selection process,wherein,structured or statistical pre-extraction algorithm can be designed,discovering the essential features,in the case of writer *** challenges of Tamil handwritten characters are structure over looping;unnecessary character portion;structure discontinuations and so *** character portions in this research are chosen by implementing a new algorithm called the Junction Point Elimination(JPE)after conscientious analysis done on the existing algorithms like Zoning,Zoning and Junction Point(ZJP)and the Junction Point (JP) based feature pre-extraction *** novelty behind this work is introducing an algorithm in order to truncate the problem in the existing feature selection and preextraction *** feature extraction and classification algorithm are chosen and applied on the features extracted by JPE to test whether the same can be reached in successful *** final analysis and experiments shows that the JPE is better than the others.

The C-field cosmological model based on the Hoyle-Narlikar theory with variable gravitational constant G is investigated. To obtain the deterministic value of C=dC/dt we present certain constant values for integration constants. The creation field is proportional to time. G and p （density） decrease with time and the universe represents an expanding universe. The creation field increases as time increases. We find C=√1/2πf t where f〉0,Thus C=1 when f=1/2π〉0.

Background：In mid hills of Western Himalayas,Himachal Pradesh India,growth,yield and economics of solanum khasianum as a potential medicinal herb under Pinus roxburghii（Chir pine） plantation has been studied for two consecutive years to assess the performance of solanum khasianum in undercanopy of Pinus roxburghii for developing solanum khasianum and Pinus roxburghii based innovative silvi-medicinal ***：Growth parameters such as plant height,number of branches per plant and leaf area index followed by yield were estimated after solanum khasianum was grown on three topographical aspects as;Northern,North- western and Western at a spacing of 45 cm x 45 cm,followed by three tillage depths as;minimum（0 cm）,medium（up to 10 cm）and deep tillage（up to 15 cm）,in open and below canopy conditions *** study was conducted to explore the possibility of using solanum khasianum based silvi-medicinal system to utilize the below canopy of Chir pine forest for enhancing the productivity of forests besides the conservation of the medicinal ***：The growth parameters such as plant height,number of branches per plant and leaf area index were nonsignificantly affected by topographical aspects and tillage practices,both below canopy and open conditions except fresh weight and dry weight of berries during harvesting *** maximum yield（0.61 t·ha^（-1）） was observed on Western aspect in open conditions as compared to below canopy of Chir *** highest gross returns were observed for the crop cultivated on Western aspect under deep tillage in open conditions than other aspect and tillage *** the positive net returns from the crops raised in below canopy of Chir pine indicates its possible economic viability under agroforestry system as the gross returns was higher than the cost of ***：solanum khasianum when grown in below canopy of Pinus roxburghii,its growth and yield indicated positive net *** khasianum and P

Influence of surface modified mixed metal oxide nanoparticles on the electrochemical and mechanical properties of polyurethane matrix

Newly synthesized functional nanoparticles,3-amino-1,2,4-triazole(ATA)/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)were introduced to the polyurethane(PU)*** techniques were used to investigate the barrier properties of the synthesized PU—ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)nanocomposite coated steel *** natural seawater,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy experiments indicated outstanding protective behaviour for the PU—ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)coated *** coating resistance(Rcoat)of PU—ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)was determined to be 2956.90 kΩ·cm^(−2).The Rcoat of the PU—ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)nanocomposite coating was found to be over 50%higher than the PU *** current measured along the scratched surface of the PU—ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)coating was found to be very low(1.65 nA).The enhanced ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)nanoparticles inhibited the entry of electrolytes into the coating interface,as revealed by scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis of the degradation *** contact angle testing validated the hydrophobic nature of the PU—ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)coating(θ=115.4°).When the concentration of ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)nanoparticles was 2 wt%,dynamic mechanical analysis revealed better mechanical ***,the newly synthesised PU—ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)nanocomposite provided excellent barrier and mechanical properties due to the addition of ATA/siO_(2)—TiO_(2)nanoparticles to the polyurethane,which inhibited material degradation and aided in the prolongation of the coated steel’s life.

TsKARNA-norm Adaption Based NLMs with Optimized Fractional Order PId Controller Gains for Voltage Power Quality
