Early Quality Life Impairment in Alzheimer disease’s Patients in Geriatric department: About 214 Cases in Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital of Paris (France)

Alzheimer’s disease (Ad) is the most common neurodegenerative disease causing an alteration of life quality in the terminal stage. The purpose was to report 14 years of experience about the early impact on the quality of life of patients with Ad. Methodology: descriptive retrospective study over 14 years in the geriatric department of Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, using the activity of daily living, Instrumental activity of daily living, neuropsychological inventory and Hoen Yahr scale evaluated at the time of diagnosis of Ad according to the National Institute of Neurological and Communicative disorders and Stroke-Alzheimer disease’s and Related disorders Association diagnostic criteria. Results: A total of 214 exploitable files had been listed. At the moment of diagnosis, the mean age was 82.1 years with extremes 68 to 95 with sex ratio 1.6 in women’s favor. The mean socio-cultural level was 4.9 with extremes about 0 to 7. There was poly pathology with a mean Cumulative Illness Rate Scale = 4.6 with extremes 0 to 16. the mean cognitive status was moderate = 22.5 with extremes 0 to 30. Quality life showed moderate impairment of IAdL = 9.2 with extreme 3 to 11 compared to activity of daily living. The activity of daily living was more affected in 68 - 80-year-olds, while poly pathology impacted more on IAdL in men. The cognitive impairment was more deficient in IAdL when the MMSE test was low. The common disorders at the NPI were psychological, behavioral and psychotic. Conclusion: At the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease cognitive deficiencies were predominant and influenced on global Instrumental activity and psychological, behavioral disorders.

With the full growth of energy needs in the world, several studies are now focused on finding renewable sources. The aim of this work is to optimise biofuel formulation from a mixture design by studying physical properties, such as specific gravity and kinematic viscosity of various formulated mixtures. Optimization from the mixture plan revealed that in the chosen experimental domain, the optimal conditions are: 40% for used frying oil (UFO), 50% for bioethanol and 10% for diesel. These experimental conditions lead to a biofuel with a density of 0.84 and a kinematic viscosity of 2.97 cSt. These parameters are compliant with the diesel quality certificate in tropical areas. These density and viscosity values were determined according to respective desirability values of 0.68 and 0.75.

坦佩雷万豪城市酒店于2020年初开业,为芬兰南部坦佩雷日新月异的城市景观增添了一份优雅。它与1990年建成的后现代坦佩雷音乐厅和会议中心共用一块地。酒店设计的目标是打造一座既自然又与众不同的建筑,使其成为庞大的会议中心建筑群的一部分。这座获得LEEd金级认证的酒店拥有简洁的白色体量。它的棱角和纹理延续了会议中心的建筑风格。尽管酒店规模庞大,位置显眼,但其设计在某种程度上掩盖了酒店的存在。通过填补城市空白,新建筑还加强了坦佩雷大厅与位于街道对面的坦佩雷大学主楼之间的联系。

Consolidation of a Femoral Neck Fracture in Sickle Cell disease Patient after Surgical Abstention: A Beneficial and Favorable Outcome

Femoral neck fracture is classically a traumatic pathology in the elderly but it can also occur in young people during a road traffic accident or occasionally when the femoral neck has been weakened by a pathological process. In sickle cell patients, the hip is often subjected to aseptic necrosis. The authors report the case of the child NL, aged 5 years and 4 months in whom a fracture of the femoral neck classified delbet 3 was found as well as his sickle cell status discovered and in whom treatment by surgical abstention was carried out with a favorable evolution. This association of factors of the femoral head necrosis or nonunion is unusual and confirms the osteogenetic potential of a child. However, monitoring is necessary because other anomalies may reveal themselves.
