Nymphaea is a key genus of the ANA grade(Amborellales,Nymphaeales,and Austrobaileyales)of basal flowering plants,which serve as a key model to study the early evolution of floral traits.In this study,we comprehensively investigated the emission,biosynthesis,and biological function of the floral scent in a night-blossoming waterlily Nymphaea prolifera.The headspace volatile collection combined with GC-MS analysis showed that the floral scent of N.prolifera is predominately comprised by methylated benzenoids including anisole,veratrole,guaiacol,and methoxyanisole.Moreover,the emission of these floral benzenoids in N.prolifera exhibited temporal and spatial pattern with circadian rhythm and tissue specificity.By creating and mining transcriptomes of N.prolifera flowers,12 oxygen methyltransferases(NpOMTs)were functionally identified.By in vitro enzymatic assay,NpOMT3,6,and 7 could produce anisole and NpOMT5,7,9,produce guaiacol,whereas NpOMT3,6,9,11 catalyzed the formation of veratrole.Methoxyanisole was identified as the universal product of all NpOMTs.Expression patterns of NpOMTs provided implication for their roles in the production of the respective benzenoids.Phylogenetic analysis of OMTs suggested a Nymphaea-specific expansion of the OMT family,indicating the evolution of lineage-specific functions.In bioassays,anisole,veratrole,and guaiacol in the floral benzenoids were revealed to play the critical role in repelling waterlily aphids.Overall,this study indicates that the basal flowering plant N.prolifera has evolved a diversity and complexity of OMT genes for the biosynthesis of methylated benzenoids that can repel insects from feeding the flowers.These findings provide new insights into the evolutional mechanism and ecological significance of the floral scent from early-diverged flowering plants.

利用天然气管道进行掺氢输送已成为氢能及天然气输送领域的热点和重点,但当前业界对于掺氢天然气在管道输送和停输静置过程中是否会自发分层一直存在较大争议。为了厘清该问题,以掺氢天然气在管道中静置这一极端工况为例,基于热力学能量最小原理,推导了在重力场作用下掺氢天然气浓度分布数学模型,并采用Peng-Robinson真实气体状态方程对该数学模型进行了求解,最后研究了甲烷—氢气二元组分混合气体在4种典型场景高度和5种掺氢比下氢浓度随高度的分布规律。研究结果表明:(1)在重力影响下管道顶部和底部的氢浓度存在差异,但其受高度差的影响显著,对于米级的水平管道、几十米级的一般城镇楼宇天然气立管、百米级的高层楼宇天然气立管,氢浓度随高度变化的差异微小,可完全忽略氢分层;(2)对于千米级大落差的掺氢天然气管道,当掺氢比不超过20%时,氢分层仍可忽略,但当掺氢比很高时(例如50%)管道顶部和底部的氢浓度差将超过1%,此时需考虑工程实际情况评估能否忽略氢分层;(3)西气东输某管道考虑真实气体组成、掺氢比20%、管道落差200 m时,各气体组分的浓度随落差高度的分布规律揭示了在实际工程中此类落差高度的掺氢天然气氢分层可忽略。结论认为,对于掺混均匀的掺氢天然气在静置这种最容易发生分层的极端工况下,如果不存在千米级极端大落差和极端大掺氢比,掺氢天然气管道分层现象可完全忽略;该认识从理论上厘清了目前关于掺氢天然气分层现象的争议,对掺氢天然气管道安全输送具有重要指导意义。

地方高职院校是培养学前专业师资的主阵地之一,学生的教育情怀作为职业核心素养之一,直接影响幼教从业者的质量。该研究以南通师范高等专科学校学前教育专业为例,通过问卷调查了专业理论教学现状。结果显示,学生对课程的意义认同度高,但更倾向于功利性,需要植入与培养教育情怀。虽然学生对专业理论教学实施与评价结果整体满意,但是为培养高质量的幼儿从业者,教资国考应成为教育情怀培养的内驱力,需调整课程模式,构建课程中思政元素融入、实施路径和评价机制,让情怀教育深入专业理论课程,生发内化学生的教育情怀。

Water lilies as emerging models for Darwin’s abominable mystery

Water lilies are not only highly favored aquatic ornamental plants with cultural and economic importance but they also occupy a critical evolutionary space that is crucial for understanding the origin and early evolutionary trajectory of flowering plants.The birth and rapid radiation of flowering plants has interested many scientists and was considered‘an abominable mystery’by Charles Darwin.In searching for the angiosperm evolutionary origin and its underlying mechanisms,the genome of Amborella has shed some light on the molecular features of one of the basal angiosperm lineages;however,little is known regarding the genetics and genomics of another basal angiosperm lineage,namely,the water lily.In this study,we reviewed current molecular research and note that water lily research has entered the genomic era.We propose that the genome of the water lily is critical for studying the contentious relationship of basal angiosperms and Darwin’s‘abominable mystery’.Four pantropical water lilies,especially the recently sequenced Nymphaea colorata,have characteristics such as small size,rapid growth rate and numerous seeds and can act as the best model for understanding the origin of angiosperms.The water lily genome is also valuable for revealing the genetics of ornamental traits and will largely accelerate the molecular breeding of water lilies.

Construction of defect-containing UiO-66/MoSe_(2) heterojunctions with superior photocatalytic performance for wastewater treatment and mechanism insight

Metal-organic frameworks are recognized as promising multifunctional materials,especially metal-organic framework-based photocatalysts,which are considered to be ideal photocatalytic materials.Herein,a new type of UiO-66/MoSe_(2) composite was prepared using the solvothermal method.The optimum composite was selected by adjusting the mass ratio of UiO-66 and MoSe_(2).X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the mass ratio influenced the crystal plane exposure rate of the composite,which may have affected its photocatalytic performance.The composite is composed of ultra-thin flower-like MoSe_(2) that wrapped around cubic UiO-66,a structure that increases the abundance of active sites for reactions and is more conducive to the separation of carriers.The photocatalytic properties of the composite were evaluated by measuring the degradation rate of Rhodamine B and the catalyst’s ability to reduce Cr(VI)-containing wastewater under visible light irradiation.Rhodamine B was decolorized completely in 120 min,and most of the Cr(VI)was reduced within 150 min.The photochemical mechanism of the complex was studied in detail.The existence of Mo^(6+)and oxygen vacancies,in addition to the Z-type heterojunction promote the separation of electrons and holes,which enhances the photocatalytic effect.

Water lilies(order Nymphaeales)are rich in both economic and cultural values.They grow into aquatic herbs,and are divided into two ecological types:tropical and hardy.Although tropical water lilies have more ornamental and medicinal values compared to the hardy water lily,the study and utilization of tropical water lilies in both landscaping and pharmaceutical use is greatly hindered due to their limited planting area.Tropical water lilies cannot survive the winter in areas beyond 24.3°N latitude.Here,the transgenic pipeline through the pollen-tube pathway was generated for water lily for the first time.To improve cold stress tolerance of tropical water lilies,a gene encoding choline oxidase(CodA)driven by a cold stress-inducible promoter was transformed into a tropical water lily through the pollen-tube transformation.Six independent transgenic lines were tested for survival rate during two winter seasons from 2015 to 2017 in Hangzhou(30.3°N latitude).PCR and southern blot detection revealed that the CodA gene had been integrated into the genome.Reverse transcription PCR showed that CodA gene was induced after cold stress treatment,and further quantitative real-time PCR revealed different expressions among six 4 lines and line 3 had the highest expression.Multiple physiological experiments showed that after cold stress treatment,both the conductivity and malondialdehyde(MDA)levels from transgenic plants were significantly lower than those of non-transgenic plants,whereas the content of betaine and the activity of superoxide dismutase,catalase,and peroxidase were higher than those from non-transgenic plants.These results suggest that expression of exogenous CodA gene significantly improved the cold stress tolerance of tropical water lilies through a wide range of physiological alterations.Our results currently expanded a six-latitude cultivating area of the tropical water lilies.These results not only illuminate the bright future for water lily breeding but will also facilitate the functional genomic studies.

目的:探讨山茱萸多糖对乳腺癌MCF-7细胞增殖、凋亡、迁移、侵袭的影响,并通过观察山茱萸多糖对腺苷酸活化蛋白激酶/沉默信息调节因子1(AMPK/SIRT1)通路的调控作用探索其可能的作用机制。方法:体外培养MCF-7细胞,随机分为对照组(正常培养基培养)和山茱萸多糖低、中、高剂量组(分别予12.5、25.0、50.0 mg/mL山茱萸多糖培养)以及山茱萸多糖高剂量+AMPK激活剂(AICAR)组(予50.0 mg/mL山茱萸多糖+2.0 mmol/L AICAR培养),采用平板克隆形成试验检测MCF-7细胞增殖情况,流式细胞术检测细胞凋亡情况,划痕试验检测细胞迁移情况,Transwell法检测细胞侵袭情况,蛋白免疫印迹法(Western blot法)检测各组细胞AMPK、磷酸化AMPK(p-AMPK)、SIRT1蛋白相对表达量。选择BALB/c裸鼠,建立荷瘤裸鼠模型,随机分为对照组(灌胃生理盐水)与山茱萸多糖组(每日灌胃800 mg/kg山茱萸多糖溶液),每组6只,连续灌胃28 d。每7 d测量2组裸鼠肿瘤体积并做组间比较,灌胃结束后处死各组裸鼠取移植瘤,采用免疫组化法检测各组裸鼠移植瘤组织中AMPK、p-AMPK、SIRT1蛋白表达。结果:体外细胞学实验结果表明,山茱萸多糖低、中、高剂量组MCF-7细胞集落形成数明显低于对照组(P0.05)。结论:山茱萸多糖对乳腺癌MCF-7细胞增殖、迁移、侵袭有一定的抑制作用,并可促进MCF-7细胞凋亡,能抑制裸鼠移植瘤生长,其可能的机制为抑制AMPK/SIRT1通路激活。

目的通过一种改进Apriori算法对名老中医李培旭教授运用中医药治疗慢性肾脏病蛋白尿中药处方配伍及规律进行分析,以期对临床治疗有指导作用。方法收集2018年1月—2021年1月期间李培旭教授诊治慢性肾脏病蛋白尿临床数据建立数据库,运用基于矩阵和权重改进的MW-Apriori算法,进行统计分析其中用药规律及药物组合特点,从而得出核心证型和核心处方。结果共收集处方1239张,病例391例,涉及到药物共214味,其中使用频次>10次的有135味,累计使用频次17467次,药物种类共21类,使用频次排名前5类分别为清热药、补虚药、利水药、解表药、活血药,性味归经方面,使用较多为寒性、平性及甘味药。在药物组合关联规则中显示连翘-金银花组合是所有药物组合中出现频次最高,甘草作为单味药物出现频次最高,且关联性最强,关联性较强药物为:金银花、连翘、黄柏、生地、黄芪、柴胡、泽泻、当归、白芍、蒲公英,总结出常见证型9种,常用药物50味,并从中得出核心证型及核心处方各4种,核心药物24味。结论通过对李培旭教授治疗慢性肾脏病数据分析,肾病蛋白尿的原发病较多,病机以湿热致肾闭精泄,本虚标实,虚实错杂,病程冗长,湿热(毒)蕴结为基本证型,治疗以祛邪通闭、益气养阴为主,选药多注重寒性、平性及甘味药物,研究得出核心证型和核心处方较为准确客观反映李教授学术思想,对临床具有一定指导意义。

In the past decade, the sudden rise of high-entropy alloys(HEAs) has become a research hotspot in the domain of metal materials. HEAs break through the design concept of traditional single-principal element alloys, and the four core effects, especially the high entropy and cocktail effects, make HEAs exhibit much better corrosion resistance than traditional corrosion-resistant metal materials, e.g., stainless steels, copper-nickel alloys, and high-nickel alloys. Currently, the corrosion resistance of HEAs causes great concern in the field of corrosion research. This article reviews the corrosion behavior and mechanism of HEAs in various aqueous solutions, revealing the correlation among the composition, microstructure and corrosion resistance of HEAs, and elaborates the influence of heat treatment, anodizing treatment and preparation methods on the corrosion behavior of HEAs. This knowledge will benefit the on-demand design of corrosion-resistant HEAs, which is an important trend of future development. Finally, perspectives regarding the corrosion research of HEAs are outlined to guide future studies.

Learning a discriminative mid-level feature for action recognition

In this paper,we address the problem of recognizing human actions from videos.Most of the existing approaches employ low-level features(e.g.,local features and global features)to represent an action video.However,algorithms based on low-level features are not robust to complex environments such as cluttered background,camera movement and illumination change.Therefore,we propose a novel random forest learning framework to construct a discriminative and informative mid-level feature from low-level features of densely sampled 3D cuboids.Each cuboid is classified by the corresponding random forests with a novel fusion scheme,and the cuboid’s posterior probabilities of all categories are normalized to generate a histogram.After that,we obtain our mid-level feature by concatenating histograms of all the cuboids.Since a single low-level feature is not enough to capture the variations of human actions,multiple complementary low-level features(i.e.,optical flow and histogram of gradient 3D features)are employed to describe 3D cuboids.Moreover,temporal context between local cuboids is exploited as another type of low-level feature.The above three low-level features(i.e.,optical flow,histogram of gradient 3D features and temporal context)are effectively fused in the proposed learning framework.Finally,the mid-level feature is employed by a random forest classifier for robust action recognition.Experiments on the Weizmann,UCF sports,Ballet,and multi-view IXMAS datasets demonstrate that out mid-level feature learned from multiple low-level features can achieve a superior performance over state-of-the-art methods.
