The lack of a suitable rootstock to control scion growth has limited the development of high-density plantations in pear production, which is partly attributed to poor understanding of the dwarfing mechanism. In the present study, the rootstock of the dwarf-type pear (Pyrus betulaefolia)PY-9’ was identified and used as the material for anatomical ***-9’ grew to half the tree height of the normal cultivar Zhengdu’, along with fewer internodes and shorter length. Significant differences in growth rate betweenPY-9’ andZhengdu’ were detected at approximately 30 days after full bloom, which corresponded with the time of the greatest difference in water potential between the dwarf and normal ***-9’ showed a higher photosynthetic rate thanZhengdu’. Anatomical analysis showed thatPY-9’ had higher area ratios of both phloem and xylem and more developed vascular tissues thanZhengdu’. The three-dimensional reconstructed skeleton of the xylem from X-ray computed tomography scanning revealed greater intervessel connectivity inZhengdu’ than inPY-9’, which could contribute to the more vigorous growth ofZhengdu’. This study thus provides the first comparison of the microstructural properties of xylem elements between a dwarfing-type and vigorous-type pear rootstock, providing new insights into the dwarfing mechanism in pear and facilitating breeding of dwarf pear rootstocks to increase crop productivity.

Objective To identify whether Banxia Xiexin Decoction(BXD)alleviates cerebral glucose metabolism disorder by intestinal microbiota regulation in APP/PS1 *** Forty-five 3-month-old male APP/PS1 mice were divided into 3 groups using a random number table(n=15 per group),including a model group(MG),a liraglutide group(LG)and a BXD group(BG).Fifteen 3-month-old male C57BL/6J wild-type mice were used as the control group(CG).Mice in the BG were administered BXD granules by gavage at a dose of 6 g/(kg·d)for 3 months,while mice in the LG were injected intraperitoneally once daily with Liraglutide Injection(25 nmol/kg)for 3 ***,liquid chromatography with tandem-mass spectrometry was used to analyze the active components of BXD granules and the medicated serum of ***,the cognitive deficits,Aβpathological change and synaptic plasticity markers,including synaptophysin(SYP)and postsynaptic density protein 95(PSD95),were measured in APP/PS1 *** glucose uptake was detected by micropositron emission *** microbial constituents were detected by 16S rRNA *** levels of intestinal glucagon-like peptide 1(GLP-1)and cerebral GLP-1 receptor(GLP-1R),as well as the phosphoinositide-3-kinase/protein kinase B/glycogen synthase kinase-3β(PI3K/Akt/GSK3β)insulin signaling pathway were determined by immunohistochemical(IHC)staining and Western blot analysis,*** BXD ameliorated cognitive deficits and Aβpathological features(P<0.01).The expressions of SYP and PSD95 in the BG were higher than those in the MG(P<0.01).Brain glucose uptake in the BG was higher than that in the MG(P<0.01).The intestinal microbial composition in the BG was partially *** levels of intestinal GLP-1 in the BG were higher than those in the MG(P<0.01).Compared with the MG,the expression levels of hippocampal GLP-1R,Akt,PI3K and p-PI3K in the BG were significantly increased(P<0.01),while the levels of GSK3βwere reduced(P<0.01).Conclusion BXD

Objective:To summarize the characteristics and evaluate the quality of the methodology and evidence within systematic reviews(SRs)of Chinese herbal medicine(CHM)for Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP)***:SRs of randomized controlled trials were searched using PubMed,the Cochrane Library,Embase,the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure Databases(CNKI),the Chinese Scientific Journals Database(VIP),Wanfang,and the SinoMed *** on the use of CHM alone or in combination with Western medications for MPP in children were *** study compared the effects of Western medicine alone with those of *** evidence quality using the A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews(AMSTAR)2,the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)2020,and the Grading of Recommendations,Assessment,Development,and Evaluation(GRADE)*** primary indicators were the total effective rate,fever subsidence time,and cough disappearance *** secondary outcomes were pulmonary rale disappearance time,average hospitalization time,lung X-ray infiltrate disappearance time,immunological indices,and inflammatory cytokine ***:Twelve relevant SRs were included;75%(9/12)were assessed as very low quality,and 25%(3/12)Were rated as low quality using the AMSTAR 2 *** to the PRISMA 2020 checklist,the average SR score was 20.3 out of a 27 point *** all SRs,CHM demonstrated improvement in symptoms and signs among children with *** evidence quality using the GRADE criteria ranged from"very low"(>50%)to"moderate"(<5%).The most common downgrading factor was imprecision,followed by publication bias and ***:This overview highlights the limited quality of the methodology and evidence of the included *** the included studies showed the beneficial effects of CHM on MPP in children,it was difficult to draw firm conclusions owing to methodological flaws.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Huangqin Decoction(HQD)on nuclear factor erythroid 2 related-factor 2(Nrf2)/heme oxygenase(HO-1)signaling pathway by inducing the colitis-associated carcinogenesis(CAC)model mice with azoxymethane(AOM)/dextran sodium sulfate(DSS).Methods:The chemical components of HQD were analyzed by liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry(LC-Q-TOF-MS/MS)to determine the molecular constituents of *** 48 C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into 6 groups by a random number table,including control,model(AOM/DSS),mesalazine(MS),low-,medium-,and high-dose HQD(HQD-L,HQD-M,and HQD-H)groups,8 mice in each *** for the control group,the mice in the other groups were intraperitoneally injected with AOM(10 mg/kg)and administrated with 2.5%DSS orally for 1 week every two weeks(totally 3 rounds of DSS)to construct a colitis-associated carcinogenesis mouse *** mice in the HQD-L,HQD-M and HQD-H groups were given HQD by gavage at doses of 2.925,5.85,and 11.7 g/kg,respectively;the mice in the MS group was given a suspension of MS at a dose of 0.043 g/kg(totally 11 weeks).The serum levels of malondialdehyde(MDA)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** mRNA and protein expression levels of Nrf2,HO-1,and inhibitory KELCH like ECH-related protein 1(Keap1)in colon tissue were detected by quantitative real-time PCR,immunohistochemistry,and Westem blot,***:LC-Q-TOF-MS/MS analysis revealed that the chemical constituents of HQD include baicalin,paeoniflorin,and glycyrrhizic *** to the control group,significantly higher MDA levels and lower SOD levels were observed in the model group(P<0.05),whereas the expressions of Nrf2 and HO-1 were significantly decreased,and the expression of Keap1 increased(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,serum MDA level was decreased and SOD level was increased in the HQD-M,HQD-H and MS groups(P<0.05).Higher expressions of

Solution processability significantly advances the development of highly-efficient perovskite solar ***,the precursor solution tends to undergo irreversible degradation reactions,impairing the device performance and ***,we utilize a reductive natural amino acid,Nacetylcysteine(NALC),to stabilize the precursor solution for printable carbon-based hole-conductorfree mesoscopic perovskite solar *** find that I_(2) can be generated in the aged solution containing methylammonium iodide(MI) in an inert atmosphere and speed up the MA-FA^(+)(formamidinium) reaction which produces large-size cations and hinders the formation of perovskite *** effectively stabilizes the precursor via its sulfhydryl group which reduces I_(2) back to I^(-)and provides H^(+).The NALC-stabilized precursor which is aged for 1440 h leads to devices with a power conversion efficiency equivalent to 98% of that for devices prepared with the fresh ***,NALC improves the device power conversion efficiency from 16.16% to 18.41% along with enhanced stability under atmospheric conditions by modifying grain boundaries in perovskite films and reducing associated defects.

Introduction:The Shengxian decoction(SXT),a Chinese herbal medication used to treat heart failure,is composed of Astragali Radix,Anemarrhenae Rhizoma,Bupleuri Radix,Cimicifuage Rhizoma,and Platycodonis *** of the excretion of the active compounds in this herbal medication is vital for investigating the underlying mechanisms behind its ***,this remains ***:Liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry was performed in both positive and negative modes to assay 18 constituents of SXT from rat urinary,fecal,and biliary ***:The methodology was validated and showed good linearity(r≥0.9),precision,stability,repeatability,and *** relative standard deviations and relative errors for the precision and accuracy did not exceed 15%.The recoveries of all the compounds ranged from 77.37%to 114.82%,and the matrix effect was between 82.53%and 105.71%.The results suggested that,when combined with Platycodonis Radix,the levels of 14 constituents from the four herbs were reduced in the urine,while the levels of six constituents were reduced in the ***:The comparative excretion results indicated that Platycodonis Radix reduced the excretion of compounds in SXT,demonstrating the compatibility mechanism and holistic properties of these compounds,favoring the pharmacological effects of SXT.

High-order nonlinear multiphoton absorption is usually inefficient,but can be enhanced by designing resonant excitations between occupied and unoccupied energy *** conducted angle-resolved multi-photon photoemission(mPPE)studies on the SnSe_(2)(001)surfaces excited by ultrashort laser *** tuning photon energy and light polarization,we demonstrate the presence of a resonant four-photon photoemission(4PPE)process involving the occupied valence band(VB),the unoccupied second conduction band(CB2)and the unoccupied image-potential state(IPs)of SnSe_(2).In this 4PPE process,VB electrons of SnSe_(2) are resonantly excited into CB2 by adsorbing two photons,followed by the adsorption of another photon to populate the n=1 IPs before being emitted out to the vacuum by adsorbing one more *** results in a double-resonant 4PPE process,which exhibits approximately a 40 times enhancement in photoemission yields compared to cases where one of the resonant pathways,CB2→IPs,is inhibited by involving a virtual state instead of the IPs in the *** double-resonant 4PPE process efficiently excite the bulk VB electrons outside the vacuum,like taking advantage of resonant“ladders”through two real empty electronic states of SnSe_(2).Our results highlight the important applications of mPPE in probing the band-structure,particularly the unoccupied states,of recently emerging main group dichalcogenide ***,the discovered resonant mPPE process contributes to the exploration of their promising optoelectronic applications.

As the capacity of lithium-ion batteries gradually reaches its limit,the high-capacity characteristics of lithium metal batteries(LMBs)make them one of the most promising electrochemical energy storage devices ***,uncontrolled lithium dendrite growth can cause poor cell performance and severe safety issues,seriously slowing down the commercialization of *** metals(TMs)are lithiophilic materials that effectively stabilize lithium metal anode(LMA)and inhibit dendrite ***,the growth of lithium dendrites and the performance of TMs in stabilizing lithium metals are comprehensively discussed in this ***,we elucidated the formation mechanisms of lithium dendrite,and we put forward several strategies to suppress lithium dendrite formation based on the understanding of these ***,the application of TMs and their compounds to stabilize LMA and their corresponding mechanisms are comprehensively ***,further research perspectives of TMs in stabilizing LMA are emphasized in detail.
