This paper presents a highly parallelizable numerical method to solve time dependent acoustic obstacle scattering *** method proposed is a generalization of the“operator expansion method”developed by Recchioni and Zirilli[SIAM ***.,25(2003),1158-1186].The numerical method proposed reduces,via a perturbative approach,the solution of the scattering problem to the solution of a sequence of systems of first kind integral *** numerical solution of these systems of integral equations is challenging when scattering problems involving realistic obstacles and small wavelengths are solved.A computational method has been developed to solve these challenging problems with affordable computing *** this aim a new way of using the wavelet transform and new bases of wavelets are introduced,and a version of the operator expansion method is developed that constructs directly element by element in a fully parallelizable *** numerical experiments involving realistic obstacles and“small”wavelengths are proposed and high dimensional vector spaces are used in the numerical *** evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm on parallel computing facilities,appropriate speed up factors are introduced and evaluated.

Iodine containing disinfection by-products（I-dBPs） and haloacetaldehydes（HALs） are emerging disinfection by-product（dBP） classes of concern. The former due to its increased potential toxicity and the latter because it was found to be the third most relevant dBP class in mass in a U.S. nationwide drinking water study. These dBP classes have been scarcely investigated, and this work was performed to further explore their formation in drinking water under chlorination and chloramination scenarios. In order to do this, iodo-trihalomethanes（I-THMs）,iodo-haloacetic acids（I-HAAs） and selected HALs（mono-HALs and di-HALs species, including iodoacetaldehyde） were investigated in dBP mixtures generated after chlorination and chloramination of different water matrices containing different levels of bromide and iodide in laboratory controlled reactions. Results confirmed the enhancement of I-dBP formation in the presence of monochloramine. While I-THMs and I-HAAs contributed almost equally to total I-dBP concentrations in chlorinated water, I-THMs contributed the most to total I-dBP levels in the case of chloraminated water. The most abundant and common I-THM species generated were bromochloroiodomethane, dichloroiodomethane, and chlorodiiodomethane. Iodoacetic acid and chloroiodoacetic acid contributed the most to the total I-HAA concentrations measured in the investigated disinfected water. As for the studied HALs, dihalogenated species were the compounds that predominantly formed under both investigated treatments.

The recovery of metals from a multi-component alloy obtained by crushing, melting and anodic dissolution of waste from electric and electronic equipment（WEEE） was investigated. The anodic dissolution of the alloy was carried out in an electrolysis cell with one copper cathode and a central cast anode, immersed in the electrolyte formed by choline chloride-ethylene glycol-iodine. The temperature of the electrolyte during the process was 343 K. depending on the electrolysis parameters（current density and cell voltage）, cathodic deposits of Sn, Pb and Zn of 〉99% purity were obtained. Cyclic voltammetry was used in order to determine the deposition potentials of the studied metals. The obtained metallic deposits were subject of determination of XRd, SEM/EdX and AFM in order to evidence the deposits structure and morphology. The experiments performed demonstrated the possibility of separating/selective recovery of metals from the multi-component alloy resulted from the waste from electrical and electronic equipment by anodic dissolution in ionic liquids.
