The Caatinga biome is an important ecosystem in the semi-arid region of *** has significantly degraded due to human activities and is currently a region undergoing ***,monitoring the variation in the Caatinga biome has become essential for its sustainable ***,traditional methods for estimating aboveground biomass(AGB)are time-consuming and *** sensing,such as optical and radar imaging,can estimate and correlate with ***,radar imaging is still a novelty to be applied in estimating the AGB of this biome,which is an area with little ***,this study aimed to use Sentinel-1 images to estimate the AGB of the Caatinga biome in Sergipe State(northeastern Brazil)and to verify its influencing *** sample plots(30 m×30 m)were selected,and the stems of individuals with a circumference at breast height(1.3 m above the ground)equal to or greater than 6.0 cm were measured,and the AGB through an allometric equation was *** Sentinel-1 images from 3 different periods(green,intermediate,and dry periods)were used to consider the phenological conditions of the Caatinga *** the pre-processing and extraction of attributes(co-polarized VV(vertical transmit and vertical receive),cross-polarized VH(vertical transmit and horizontal receive),and band ratio VH/VV backscatter,radar vegetation index,dual polarization synthetic aperture radar(SAR)vegetation index(DPSVI),entropy(H),and alpha angle(α))were performed with Sentinel’s Application *** attributes were used to estimate the AGB through simple and multiple linear regressions and evaluated by the coefficients of determination(R2),correlation(r),and root mean squared error(RMSE).The results showed that the attributes individually had little ability to estimate the AGB of the Caatinga biome in the three *** with multiple regression,we found that the intermediate period presented the equation with the best

This study investigates the influence of waste characteristics,especially zeta potential,on the properties of cement pastes and *** focus is to evaluate the impact of the zeta potential of cement particles and waste materials on the sedimentation speed,rheology,and hardening time of stabilized cement *** Cement II F 40,retarder additive,silica,and fly ash were used in the *** pastes were prepared,and during the stabilization period,their rheological properties and pH were *** zeta potential and sedimentation speed of the cement and waste particles were measured at the pH that the pastes presented during the entire stabilization *** the stabilization period,the pastes were subjected to the hardening time *** zeta potential analyses revealed diverse values for the different powder types,with the cement particles exhibiting a zeta potential of−3.0 mV,the silica particles exhibiting−10.5 mV,and the fly ash particles exhibiting−20.3 *** influence of the high zeta potential modulus was observed on the sedimentation speed,with the solution containing fly ash exhibiting a speed of 40.01μm/s,whereas the solution containing only cement exhibited a speed of 99.38μm/*** the pastes,the results indicate that the presence of fly ash particles with a significantly negative zeta potential led to a 16%reduction in hardening time compared to particles with a lower modulus of zeta *** tests showed that the inclusion of fly ash particles prevented the formation of *** the zeta potential influenced agglomerate formation and hardening time,it was found to have no effect on yield stress or viscosity.

Predictive value of preoperative routine examination for the prognosis of patients with pT2n0M0 or pT3n0M0 colorectal cancer

BACKGROUnD In recent years,the incidence of colorectal cancer(CRC)has been *** the popularization of endoscopic technology,a number of early CRC has been ***,despite current treatment methods,some patients with early CRC still experience postoperative recurrence and *** To search for indicators associated with early CRC recurrence and metastasis to identify high-risk *** A total of 513 patients with pT2n0M0 or pT3n0M0 CRC were retrospectively enrolled in this *** of blood routine test,liver and kidney function tests and tumor markers were collected before *** were followed up through disease-specific database and telephone *** recurrence,metastasis or death were used as the end point of study to find the risk factors and predictive value related to early CRC recurrence and *** We comprehensively compared the predictive value of preoperative blood routine,blood biochemistry and tumor markers for disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)of *** multivariate analysis demonstrated that low platelet count was significantly associated with poor DFS[hazard ratio(HR)=0.995,95% confidence interval(CI):0.991-0.999,P=0.015],while serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)level(HR=1.008,95%CI:1.001-1.016,P=0.027)and serum total cholesterol level(HR=1.538,95%CI:1.026-2.305,P=0.037)were independent risk factors for *** cutoff value of serum CEA level for predicting OS was 2.74 ng/*** the OS of CRC patients with serum CEA higher than the cutoff value was worse than those with lower CEA level,the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P=0.075).COnCLUSIOn For patients with T2n0M0 or T3n0M0 CRC,preoperative platelet count was a protective factor for DFS,while serum CEA level was an independent risk factor for *** that these measures are easier to detect and more acceptable to patients,they may have broader applications.

n-glycosylation of Wnt3 regulates the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma by affecting Wnt/β-catenin signal pathway

BACKGROUnD Wnt/FZD-mediated signaling pathways are activated in more than 90%of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)cell *** a well-known secretory glycoprotein,Wnt3 can interact with FZD receptors on the cell surface,thereby activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling ***,the n-glycosylation modification site of Wnt3 and the effect of this modification on the biological function of the protein are still *** To investigate the effect of Wnt3 n-glycosylation on the biological function of HCC *** Site-directed mutagenesis was used to verify the Wnt3 n-glycosylation sites,actinomycin D treatment was used to detect the stability of Wnt3 after site-directed mutation,the binding of the n-glycosylation site-directed mutant Wnt3 to FZD7 was observed by laser confocal microscopy,and the effects of the n-glycosylation site-directed mutation of Wnt3 on the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and the progression of HCC cells were detected by western blot and cell function *** Wnt3 has two n-glycosylation-modified sites(Asn90 and Asn301);when a single site at amino acid 301 is mutated,the stability of Wnt3 is weakened;the binding ability of Wnt3 to FZD7 decreases when both sites are mutated simultaneously;and the level of proteins related to the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is *** proliferation,migration and invasion are also weakened in the case of single 301 site and double-site *** These results indicate that by inhibiting the n-glycosylation of Wnt3,the proliferation,migration,invasion and colony formation abilities of liver cancer cells can be weakened,which might provide new therapeutic strategies for clinical liver cancer in the future.
