“Pla.ma.” up to a.kilometer in size a.d beha.ing simila.ly to multicellula. orga.isms ha.e been filmed on 10 sepa.a.e Na.a.spa.e shuttle missions, over 200 miles a.ove Ea.th within the thermosphere. These self-illumina.ed “pla.ma.” a.e a.tra.ted to a.d ma. “feed on” electroma.netic ra.ia.ion. They ha.e different morphologies: 1) cone, 2) cloud, 3) donut, 4) spherica.-cylindrica.;a.d ha.e been filmed flying towa.ds a.d descending from the thermosphere into thunderstorms;congrega.ing by the hundreds a.d intera.ting with sa.ellites genera.ing electroma.netic a.tivity;a.proa.hing the Spa.e Shuttles. Computerized a.a.ysis of flight pa.h tra.ectories documents these pla.ma. tra.el a. different velocities from different directions a.d cha.ge their a.gle of tra.ectory ma.ing 45°, 90°, a.d 180° shifts a.d follow ea.h other. They’ve been filmed a.celera.ing, slowing down, stopping, congrega.ing, enga.ing in “hunter-preda.ory” beha.ior a.d intersecting pla.ma. lea.ing a.pla.ma.dust tra.l in their wa.e. Simila. life-like beha.iors ha.e been demonstra.ed by pla.ma. crea.ed experimenta.ly. “Pla.ma.” ma. ha.e been photogra.hed in the 1940s by WWII pilots (identified a. “Foo fighters”);repea.edly observed a.d filmed by a.trona.ts a.d milita.y pilots a.d cla.sified a. Unidentified a.ria.—a.oma.ous Phenomenon. Pla.ma. a.e not biologica. but ma. represent a.form of pre-life tha. via.the incorpora.ion of elements common in spa.e, could result in the synthesis of RNa. Pla.ma. constitute a.fourth sta.e of ma.ter, a.e a.tra.ted to electroma.netic a.tivity, a.d when observed in the lower a.mosphere likely a.count for ma.y of the UFO-Ua. sightings over the centuries.

The a.m of the present study is to eva.ua.e the hepa.oprotective a.tivity of Sa.cocepha.us la.ifolius fruits a.ueous extra.t a.a.nst pa.a.eta.ol-induced liver da.a.e in ra.s. Ma.eria. a.d Methods: a.ueous extra.t of Sa.cocepha.us la.ifolius fruits a. doses of 100, 250 a.d 500 mg/kg were a.ministered ora.ly to ra.s with pa.a.eta.ol-induced hepa.otoxicity (1 g/kg). The trea.ment with the extra.t a.d pa.a.eta.ol la.ted 7 da.s. Silyma.in (50 mg/kg) wa. given a. reference control. a.l tested drugs were a.ministered ora.ly. Results: Our results show tha. the Sa.cocepha.us la.ifolius fruits extra.t induced a.significa.t reduction (p a.a.ine a.inotra.sfera.e (a.a.), a.pa.ta.e a.inotra.sfera.e (a.a.), a.ka.ine phospha.a.e (Pa.) a.d tota. bilirubin (TB). Then, the extra.t a. the dose of 500 mg/kg showed a.better protection (p a.ocytes with a.percenta.e of protection of 43.59% ± 2.03%;59.43% ± 4.12%;73.29% ± 5.72% a.d 62.55% ± 7.48% for a.a., a.a., Pa. a.d TB, respectively. The histology of livers exposed to pa.a.eta.ol shows a. infla.ma.ion of the hepa.ocytes. In a.dition, there wa. a.significa.t a.tera.ion of the liver pa.enchyma. The 500 mg/kg extra.t showed a.resorption of the infla.ma.ion. Histopa.hologica. exa.ina.ion showed tha. the extra.t regenera.ed pa.a.eta.ol-induced liver da.a.e. Ca.mium sulfide（Cd S） thin films ha.e been prepa.ed by a.simple technique such a. chemica. ba.h deposition（CBD）. a.set of sa.ples Cd S were deposited on gla.s substra.es by va.ying the ba.h tempera.ure from 55 to 75 °C a. fixed deposition time（25 min） in order to investiga.e the effect of deposition tempera.ure on Cd S films physica. properties. The determina.ion of growth a.tiva.ion energy suggests tha. a. low tempera.ure Cd S film growth is governed by the relea.e of Cd^（2＋） ions in the solution. The structura. cha.a.teriza.ion indica.ed tha. the Cd S films structure is cubic or hexa.ona. with preferentia. orienta.ion a.ong the direction（111） or（002）, respectively. The optica. cha.a.teriza.ion indica.ed tha. the films ha.e a.fa.rly high tra.spa.ency, which va.ies between55% a.d 80% in the visible ra.ge of the optica. spectrum, the refra.tive index va.ies from 1.85 to 2.5 a.d the optica. ga. va.ue of which ca. rea.h 2.2 e V. It ca. be suggested tha. these properties ma.e these films perfectly suita.le for their use a. window film in thin films ba.ed sola. cells.

Coa.ta. erosion ha. become a.worldwide concern, typica.ly in the densely popula.ed a.ia. mega.river delta.. Severe coa.ta. erosion in the southern Red River Delta.RRD) ha. been intensively studied. Coa.ta. morphologica. cha.ge in the northern RRD wa. exa.ined in deta.l through DEM(Digita. Eleva.ion Model) a.a.ysis ba.ed on time series of ba.hymetrica. ma.s(1965–2004) a.d La.dsa. ima.es(1975–2015) in this study. The results show tha. the northern RRD is fea.ured by ra.id coa.ta. a.cretion in the pa.t few deca.es, a.though suspended sediment flux ha. dropped by roughly 60% a.ter the completeness of Hoa.Binh Da.(HBD) in 1988 a.d rela.ive sea.level rose a. 1.9 mm yr^(-1). However, a.cretion a. the outer pa.t of subtida. shoa.s a.d pla.forms wa. observed to slow down quickly or even turned into erosion in the la.t two deca.es. The resuspended sediments from the erosion zone ca. be tra.sported la.dwa.d to replenish the inner coa.ta. zone, keeping the la.ter a.cretion in the nea. future to compensa.e for the sediment discha.ge decrea.e from the river. However, this la. effect should be termina.ed soon if other a.verse effects go worse, e.g., da.ming rivers, sea.level rising, strengthening storms, la.d recla.a.ion a.d other poor-designed coa.ta. engineering. Coa.ta. pla.ners a.d ma.a.ers should pa. full a.tention to these cha.ges.

Ba.kground Severa. liver function tests ha.e been identified a. predictors of hospita.iza.ion for hea.t fa.lure(HF) a.d dea.h in pa.ients with chronic HF. The rela.ionship between serum γ-gluta.yltra.fera.e(ggT) a.d a.bumin(Sa. levels with the response to ca.dia. resynchroniza.ion thera.y(CRT) ha. not been relia.ly determined. The a.m of the study wa. to eva.ua.e the impa.t of liver function tests on the results of CRT in the elderly. Methods Ba.eline ggT a.d Sa.were a.sessed before CRT device impla.ta.ion in the elderly(> 70-yea.-old) pa.ients. The endpoints were:(1) CRT response defined a. > 5% left ventricula. ejection fra.tion improvement a.d no hospita.iza.ion for HF or ca.diova.cula. dea.h;(2) hospita.iza.ions;a.d(3) morta.ity. Results Eighty of 138(58%) included pa.ients were responders a. nine months. Compa.ed to responders, the Sa.levels were not significa.tly different(35.1 ± 5.4 vs. 33.6 ± 5.5 g/L, P = 0.103);but the ggT levels, higher(81.6 ± 69.3 vs. 54.7 ± 49.6 U/L, P = 0.013) in non-responders to CRT. ggT level wa. independently a.socia.ed with non-response to CRT(P ggT cut-off va.ue ≥ 55 U/L wa. highly predictive of non-response [a.C = 0.65, 64% Sensitivity, 69% Specificity(95% CI: 0.56–0.74)]. ggT ≥ 55 U/L wa. a.so a.socia.ed with higher risk of hospita.iza.ion for a.ria. fibrilla.ion(a.)(95% vs. 83%, P = 0.024). Both Sa.a.d ggT ha. no impa.t on overa.l(P = 0.220, P = 0.723) morta.ity. Conclusions Higher level of ggT is a. independent predictor of non-response to CRT in pa.ients over a.e 70 yea.s a.d is a.socia.ed with higher risk of hospita.iza.ion for a.. Ba.eline serum levels of a.bumin a.d ggT a.d ha.e no impa.t on morta.ity in elderly pa.ients undergoing CRT.
