Background:α–synuclein(α–syn)is the main component of intracytoplasmic inclusions deposited in the brains of patients with Parkinson’s disease(PD)and certain other neurodegenerative *** studies have explored the ability ofα–syn to propagate between or across neighboring neurons and supposedly“infect”them with a prion–like ***,much of this research has used stereotaxic injections of heterologousα–syn fibrils to induce the spreading of inclusions in the rodent ***α–syn is able to transmit from the host cells to their neighboring cells in vivo is ***:Using immunestaining,we examined the potential propagation ofα–syn into nigrostriatal dopaminergic(DA)neurons in three lines of transgenic mice that overexpress human wild–typeα–syn(hα–syn)in different neuron ***:After testing for three different routes by which hα–syn propagation might occur,we were unable to find any evidence that hα–syn behaved like a prion and could be transmitted overtime into the DA neurons initially lack of hα–syn ***:In transgenic mice hα–syn does not have the ability to propagate at pathologically significant levels between or across *** must be noted that these observations do not disprove the studies that show its prion–like qualities,but rather that propagation is not detectable in transgenic models that do not use any injections of heterologous proteins or viral vectors to induce a spreading state.

Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) in Construction Schedule Risk Assessment

Construction project scheduling is one of the most critical factors for project success *** only for the project planning but for construction process management,the scheduling is the basic tool for communication between the owner and the project *** developing the schedule before the project starts,the owner knows in advance that the expected timeline of the *** preparing construction process scheduling,the owner and general contractor can better manage the subcontractors,sub-trades progress,materials storage and deliveries,labors schedule and equipment set up which will eventually save time,money and ***,Critical Path Method(CPM) is commonly used in the construction *** is a deterministic method that assumes that through the network,there is at least one path that determines the project duration and that the path is the critical *** does not consider the uncertainty in the activities;rather it assumes that each activity can be finished in the given *** Evaluation and Review Technique(PERT) is a stochastic technique which is based on the assumption that the duration of a single activity can be described by a probability density *** takes into account the uncertainty during the construction process and has been created out of the need to plan,schedule and control complex projects with many *** PERT approach is stated in some books and papers,but there is no deep investigation on the application in the schedule risk *** paper investigates the PERT work process and takes a valuable try on the construction schedule risk assessment by using case *** utilization in the estimate the construction liquidated damage with the uncertainties is performed,which also can be used in the insurance company to calculate the insurance premium.

＜正＞Due to the size and importance of the Yeywa hPP and the fact that it was the first RCC dam in Myanmar and would utilise a natural pozzolan that had never been used in concrete before,a very extensive series of trial mix programmes was *** addition three full-scale trials were completed prior to the start of the RCC placement in the dam body. The trial mix programme was split into two *** objective of the first Stage was to assess the performance of the various cementitious materials and the objectives of the second Stage were to finalise the design of the RCC and the levelling concrete and to choose the admixture. The original plan was to have two full-scale trials,the first to demonstrate to the Owner（DhP）the methodology being proposed for Yeywa dam,to investigate the fresh and hardened properties of the RCC and to train the DhP staff who constructed the trial and were to supervise the *** second trial was to refine the construction procedures,to train the contractor’s staff and operatives and to make the final choice of set-retarding *** coring was planned for both *** the event a third trial had to be undertaken because the award of the Contract for construction was delayed and the second trial was constructed with DhP operatives not the contractor’*** third trial was used primarily to train the contractor’s staff and operatives（and to trial the contractor’s proposed formwork）.This trial was conducted just before the start of construction of the dam.A very detailed analysis was made of the in-situ properties of the first two trials.

通过3个桥面连续构造节点的疲劳试验,分析不同材料(普通混凝土和超高韧性水泥基材料(UhTC))和配筋下桥面连续构造的疲劳性能.试验结果表明:在疲劳荷载作用下,UhTC材料表现出了明显的多缝开裂和延性破坏特征;在同等应力条件下,UhTC材料桥面连续构造节点的疲劳寿命是普通钢筋混凝土试件的3倍以上;相同荷载作用下,相比于普通混凝土,UhTC能有效减缓钢筋应变幅的增长,减缓桥面连续构造在疲劳荷载作用下的刚度退化,从而大大提高了桥面连续构造的疲劳寿命.

AIM: To investigate interleukin-6 (IL-6), mast cells, enterochromaffin cells, 5-hydroxytryptamine, and substance P in the gastrointestinal mucosa of children with abdominal pain. METhODS: Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded gas-trointestinal biopsy blocks from patients (n = 48) with non-inflammatory bowel disease (irritable bowel syndrome and functional abdominal pain) and inflammatory bowel disease were sectioned and stained for IL-6, mast cells, enterochromaffin cells, 5-hydroxytryptamine, and substance P. All children had chronic abdominal pain as part of their presenting symptoms. Biopsy phenotype was confirmed by a pathologist, blinded to patient information. Descriptive statistics, chi-square, and independent sample t tests were used to compare differences between the inflammatory and non-inflammatory groups. RESULTS: The cohort (n = 48), mean age 11.9 years (SD = 2.9), 54.2% females, 90% Caucasian, was comprised of a non-inflammatory (n = 26) and an inflammatory (n = 22) phenotype. There was a significant negative correlation between substance P expression and mast cell count (P = 0.05, r = -0.373). Substance P was found to be expressed more often in female patient biopsies and more intensely in the upper gastrointestinal mucosa as compared to the lower mucosa. There were significantly increased gastrointestinal mucosal immunoreactivity to IL-6 (P = 0.004) in the inflammatory phenotype compared to non-inflammatory. Additionally, we found significantly increased mast cells (P = 0.049) in the mucosa of the non-inflammatory phenotype compared to the inflammatory group. This difference was particularly noted in the lower colon biopsies. CONCLUSION: The findings of this study yield preliminary evidence in identifying biomarkers of undiagnosed abdominal pain in children and may suggest candidate genes for future evaluation.
