Thermal conduction which happens in all phases(liquid,solid,and gas)is the transportation of internal energy through minuscule collisions of particles and movement of electrons within a working *** colliding particles comprise electrons,molecules,and atoms,and transfer disorganized microscopic potential and kinetic energy,mutually known as the internal *** engineering sciences,heat transfer comprises the processes of convection,thermal radiation,and sometimes mass ***,more than one of these procedures may happen in a given *** use the Cattaneo-Christov(CC)heat flux model instead of the fourier law of heat conduction to discuss the behavior of heat transportation.A mathematical model is presented for the Cattaneo-Christov double diffusion(CCDD)in the flow of a non-Newtonian nanofluid(the Jeffrey fluid)towards a stretched *** magnetohydrodynamic(mHD)fluid is *** behaviors of heat and mass transportation rates are discussed with the *** models are based on fourier’s and fick’s *** convective transportation in nanofluids is discussed,subject to thermophoresis and Brownian *** nonlinear governing flow expression is first altered into ordinary differential equations via appropriate transformations,and then numerical solutions are obtained through the built-in-shooting *** impact of sundry flow parameters is discussed on the velocity,the skin friction coefficient,the temperature,and the concentration *** is reported that the velocity of material particles decreases with higher values of the Deborah number and the ratio of the relaxation to retardation time *** temperature distribution enhances when the Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameters *** concentration shows contrasting impact versus the Lewis number and the Brownian motion *** is also noticed that the skin friction coefficient decreases when the ratio of the relaxation to retarda

Experimental and numerical methods were used to investigate the magnus phenomena over a spinning *** pressure force acting on the surface of a spinning projectile was measured for various cases by employing a relatively novel experimental technique.A set of miniature pressure sensors along with a data acquisition board,battery and storage memory were placed inside a spinning model and the surface pressure were obtained through a remotely controlled *** pressures of the model for both rotational and static conditions were obtained at two different free stream mach numbers of 0.4 and 0.8 and at different angles of *** results showed the ability of this new test method to measure the very small magnus force via surface pressures over the *** results provide a deep insight into the flow structure and illustrate changes in the cross-flow separation locations as a result of *** results were obtained by the numerical simulations and were compared with the experimental data.

试验采用96头杜洛克猪,这些猪是用反相选择跛行的方法所建立的两个品系的第7代后裔,测定其前肢的尺骨长,尺宽,足长和体长是否有差异。品系分为跛行组和健康组,后者表示在前肢结构上发育良好。所有猪都在二个特定日龄测定,平均117日龄和159日龄,并在每圈猪平均体重达到95kg时进行第三次测量,结束试验。资料用变量分析,混合方程包括品系、重复批次、饲料和性别的影响,并以体重或日龄作协方差分析。健康组猪比跛行组猪足长较长(P<0.01),在117日龄大7％,159日龄大14％,在试验结束时大30％。健康组猪的足宽则几乎和跛行组相等。对不同程度跛行选择的影响也表现在猪的体形方面,健康组猪比跛行组猪在159日龄时体长和尺骨长相对较短,在达到上市体重时体长轻短。对不同程度跛行的选择已使社洛克猪的结构发生了许多变化。

In this work,we first use momentum density studies to understand strongly correlated electron behavior,which is typically seen in transition metal *** observe that correlated electron behavior as seen in bulk NiO is due to the fermi break located in the middle of overlapping spectral functions obtained from a GW（G is Green’s function and W is the screened Coulomb interaction） approximation（GWA） calculation while in the case of TiO2 we can see that the origin of the constant momentum distribution in lower momenta is due to a pile up of spectra before the fermi *** observations are then used to compare our calculated Compton profiles with previous experimental studies of fukamachi and *** calculations for NiO are observed to follow the same trend as the experimental profile but it is seen to have a wide difference in the case of TiO2 before the fermi *** ground state momentum densities differ significantly from the quasiparticle momentum density,thus stressing the importance of the quasiparticle wave function as the input for the study of charge density and the electron localization *** we perform a calculation of the quasiparticle renormalization function,giving a quantitative description of the discontinuity of the GWA momentum density.

Spectrum of NSD1 gene mutations in southern Chinese patients with Sotos syndrome

Background Sotos syndrome is an overgrowth syndrome with characteristic facial gestalt and mental retardation of variable severity. Haploinsufficiency of the NSD 1 gene has been implicated as the major cause of Sotos syndrome, with a predominance of microdeletions reported in Japanese patients. This study was conducted to investigate into the spectrum of NSD1 gene mutations in southern Chinese patients with Sotos syndrome. methods Thirty-six Chinese patients with Sotos syndrome and two patients with Weaver syndrome were subject to molecular testing. Results NSD1 gene mutations were detected in 26 （72%） Sotos patients. microdeletion was found in only 3 patients, while the other 23 had point mutations （6 frameshift, 8 nonsense, 2 spice site, and 7 missense）. Of these, 19 mutations were never reported. NSD1 gene mutations were not found in the two patients with Weaver syndrome. Conclusions most cases of Sotos syndrome are caused by NSD1 gene defects, but the spectrum of mutations is different from that of Japanese patients. Genotype-phenotype correlation showed that patients with microdeletions might be more prone to congenital heart disease but less likely to have somatic overgrowth. The two patients with Weaver syndrome were not found to have NSD1 gene mutations, but the number was too small for any conclusion to be drawn.

Prediction of Soil Depth from Digital Terrain Data by Integrating Statistical and Visual Approaches

Information about the spatial distribution of soil attributes is indispensable for many land resource management applications; however, the ability of soil maps to supply such information for modern modeling tools is questionable. The objectives of this study were to investigate the possibility of predicting soil depth using some terrain attributes derived from digital elevation models （DEms） with geographic information systems （GIS） and to suggest an approach to predict other soil attributes. Soil depth was determined at 652 field observations over the A1-muwaqqar Watershed （70 km2） in Jordan. Terrain attributes derived from 30-m resolution DEms were utilized to predict soil depth. The results indicated that the use of multiple linear regression models within small watershed subdivisions enabled the prediction of soil depth with a difference of 50 cm.f.r 77% of the field observations. The spatial distribution of the predicted soil depth was visually coincided and had good correlations with the spatial distribution of the classes amalgamating three terrain attributes, slope steepness, slope shape, and compound topographic index. These suggested that the modeling of soil-landscape relationships within small watershed subdivisions using the three terrain attributes was a promising approach to predict other soil attributes.

Reducing the concentration of the metallic impurities present in silicon-based electronic components plays a vital role in manufactures. Gettering by induced mechanical damage is one of the methods used in neutralizing these impurities. To simulate this type of gettering, we explicitly include the role of the traps due to mechanical damage, based on the mechanism of kick-out. In our model, we choose the essential parameters including concentration of impurities, thickness, temperature, time, etc. The diffusion coefficient and equilibrium concentration of the silicon interstitials estimated from the literature have been adjusted to be in good agreement with the experimental data.
