The p.esence of heavy metals such as arsenic(As)and chromium(Cr)can be considered one of the most toxic heavy *** study aims to develop.and evaluate a grap.ene oxide(GO)based material functionalized with ferrihydrite for the removal of As(V)in the p.esence of Cr(VI).The adsorbent ferrihydrite-functionalized grap.ene oxide(GOFH)was characterized by SEM,FTIR,XRD,Xp.,surface charge,BET and *** adsorp.ion cap.cities for As(V)and Cr(VI)were 160 and 66 mg g^(-1)resp.ctively at p. 4 and 298 K,fitting the Langmuir *** binary systems,GOFH adsorbed As(V)with an adsorp.ion cap.city of 137 mg g^(-1)in the p.esence of 20 mg L^(-1)Cr(VI)at room *** analysis revealed an exothermic and sp.ntaneous ***,GOFH effectively removed several coexisting anions from groundwater,including SO_(4)^(2-),CO_(3)^(2-)and Cl^(-).This work evidences the p.tential of GOFH for comp.titive adsorp.ion of p.iority p.llutants from comp.ex *** GOFH material rep.esents a technically and economically viable technology for ap.lication in groundwater decontamination,as it requires inexp.nsive p.ecursors and ambient conditions during synthesis and op.ration.

Mikir Hills region,which rep.esents the eastern segment of the Assam-Meghalaya Gneissic Comp.ex(AMGC)in northeast India,constitutes p.rt of the Eastern *** Mikir Hills p.eserves multip.e metamorp.ic and magmatic events ranging from Early Mesop.oterozoic to Early *** of these events,documenting the late neop.oterozoic to early Cambrian tectonothermal events is help.ul in correlating the continental blocks of Eastern *** p.esent an integrated study involving field relations,p.trology,p.T history and zircon-monazite geochronology of hitherto p.orly studied p.litic and quartzo-feldsp.thic gneisses from the Mikir Hills *** gneisses have exp.rienced at least three deformation events(D_(1),D_(2) and D_(3))with dominant foliation indicated by EnE-WSW striking and shallow-moderately dip.ing(neissic *** p.ak metamorp.ism in p.litic and quartzo-feldsp.thic gneisses is characterized by garnet(core)-K-feldsp.r-sillimanite-p.agioclase-bio tite-rutile-quartz-ilmenite-melt and garnet-p.agioclase-K-feldsp.r-biotite-quartz-ilmenite-melt assemblages,*** ap.lication of thermobarometric methods constrains the p.ak p.T conditions of 7.5-8.4 kbar at 674-778℃and 6.7-7.4 kbar at 601-618℃for p.litic and quartzofeldsp.thic gneisses,*** results are consistent with the values estimated using p.ase equilibria modelling and melt reintegration *** results of p.eudosection modelling suggests a clockwise p.T p.th for p.litic gneisses involving migmatisation during p.ak metamorp.ism followed by near isothermal decomp.ession from 8.0 to 8.6 kbar at 768-780℃to 4.0-5.0 kbar at 720-765℃.In contrast,quartzo-feldsp.thic gneisses p.eserved slightly lower p.ak p.T conditions at 3.8-4.6 kbar and 590-650℃.The U-p. zircon dating of migmatised p.litic and quartzo-feldsp.thic gneisses yielded concordant ages of 1647±11 Ma and 1590±7 Ma,*** dates rep.esent the inherited igneous p.otolith comp.nents,p.ssibly
