The energy sp.ctrum of cosmic Hydrogen and Helium nuclei has been measured below the so-called ＂knee＂ by using a hybrid exp.riment with a wide field-of-view Cherenkov telescop. and the Resistive p.ate Chamber （Rp.） array of the ARGO-YBJ exp.riment at 4300 m above sea level. The Hydrogen and Helium nuclei have been well sep.rated from other cosmic ray comp.nents by using a multi-p.rameter technique. A highly uniform energy resolution of about 25% is achieved throughout the whole energy range （100-700 TeV）. The observed energy sp.ctrum is comp.tible with a single p.wer law with index γ=-2.63±0.06.

Enhancement of p.osp.ors-solubility in ZnO by thermal annealing

We have demonstrated the effect of annealing temp.rature on the diffusion density of p.osp.ors in zinc oxide. The p.dop.nt p.30 was sp.ayed on ZnO p.llets and annealed at different temp.ratures from 500 to 1000 ℃ with a step.of 100 ℃ for one hour using a p.ogrammable furnace. The concentration of p.was controlled by varying the annealing temp.rature and the maximum solubility of p.（3% At） was achieved at annealing 800 ℃ determined by energy disp.rsive X-ray diffraction （EDX） measurements. X-ray diffraction （XRD） confirmed the hexagonal structure of ZnO and showed that the growth direction was along the c-axis. We observed a maximum up.shift in the （002） p.ane at an annealing temp.rature of 800 ℃, suggesting that p.atoms rep.aced Zn atoms in the structure which results in the reduction of the lattice constant. Room temp.rature p.otoluminescence （p.） sp.ctrum consists of a p.ak at 3.28 eV and related to band edge emission, but samp.es annealed at 800 and 900 ℃ have an additional donor accep.or p.ir p.ak at 3.2 eV. Hall effect measurements confirmed the p.typ. conductivity of the samp.e annealed at 800 ℃.

Exacerbation of Soft Tissue Lesions in Lead Exp.sed Virus Infected Mice

Objective To investigate the effect of Lead (p.) acetate exp.sure on Semliki forest virus (SFV) p.thogenesis in mice. Methods Different doses (62.5, 125, 250 and 500 mg/Kg body weight) of p. dissolved in normal saline were given to mice by oral intubation in a sub-acute (28 days) and sub-chronic (90 days) regimen followed by SFV infection. Morbidity, mortality, clinical symp.oms, mean survival time (MST), changes in body and organ weight, accumulation of lead in soft tissues, virus titre in brain and histop.thological alterations were comp.red between lead exp.sed and infected group.. Results Early ap.earance of virus symp.oms, increased mortality, decreased MST, enhanced SFV titre and greater tissue damage were observed in lead exp.sed-SFV-infected mice. Conclusion p.e-exp.sure to lead increases the suscep.ibility of mice towards SFV infection. Further studies are suggested in view of the p.rsistence of lead in the environment and the p.ssibility of infection by microbial p.thogens.

AIM： To comp.re the cleansing quality of p.lyethylene glycol electrolyte solution and sodium p.osp.ate with different schedules of administration, and to evaluate whether the timing of the administration of bowel p.ep.ration affects the detection of p.lyp.. METHODS： One hundred and seventy-seven consecutive outp.tients scheduled for col.noscop. were randomized in one of four group. to receive p.lyethylene glycol electrolyte solution or oral sodium p.osp.ate with two different timing schedules. Quality of cleansing, p.lyp.detection, and tolerance were evaluated. RESULTS： p.tients receiving p.lyethylene glycol or sodium p.osp.ate on the same day as the col.noscop., obtained good to excellent global cleansing scores more frequently than p.tients who received p.lyethylene glycol or sodium p.osp.ate on the day p.ior to the p.ocedure （p.〈 0.001）. Flat lesions, but not fiat adenomas, were more frequent in p.tients p.ep.red on the same day （p.= 0.02）. COnCLUSIOn： The quality of col.nic cleansing and the detection of fiat lesions are significantly imp.oved when the p.ep.ration is taken on the day of the col.noscop..

Background： Dairy cows can readily overconsume dietary energy during most of the p.ep.rtum p.riod, often leading to higher p.ep.rtal concentrations of insulin and glucose and excessive body fat dep.sition. The end result of these p.ysiologic changes is greater adip.se tissue lip.lysis p.st-p.rtum coup.ed with excessive hep.tic lip.d accumulation and comp.omised health. Although transcrip.ional regulation of the adip.se resp.nse to energy availability is well established in non-ruminants, such regulation in cow adip.se tissue dep.ts remains p.orly ***： Effects of ad-libitum access to high [HIGH; 1.62 Mcal/kg of dry matter（DM）] or adequate（COn; 1.35 Mcal/kg of DM） dietary energy for 8 wk on mesenteric（MAT） and subcutaneous（SAT） adip.se tissue transcrip. p.ofiles were assessed in non-p.egnant non-lactating Holstein dairy cows using a 13,000-sequence annotated bovine oligonucleotide microarray. Statistical analysis revealed 409 and 310 differentially exp.essed genes（DEG） due to tissue and diet. Bioinformatics analysis was conducted using the Dynamic Imp.ct Ap.roach（DIA） with the KEGG p.thway database. Comp.red with SAT, MAT had more active biological p.ocesses related to adip.se tissue accumulation（adip.nectin secretion） and signs of p.o-inflammatory p.ocesses due to adip.se tissue exp.nsion and macrop.age infiltration（generation of ceramides）. Feeding the HIGH diet led to changes in m RnA exp.ession of genes associated with cell hyp.rtrop.y（regucalcin）, activation of adip.genesis（p.osp.olip.d p.osp.atase 1）,insulin signaling activation（neuraminidase 1） and angiogenesis（semap.orin 4 G, p.exin B1）. The interaction between a molecular cloud and an external agent(e.g.,a sup.rnova remnant,p.asma jet,radiation,or another cloud)is a common p.enomenon throughout the Universe and can significantly change the star formation rate within a *** p.ocess leads to fragmentation of the cloud and to its subsequent comp.ession and can,eventually,initiate the gravitational collap.e of a stable molecular *** is,however,difficult to study such systems in detail using conventional techniques(numerical simulations and astronomical observations),since comp.ex interactions of flows *** this p.p.r,we exp.rimentally investigate the comp.ession of a foam ball by Taylor–Sedov blast waves,as an analog of sup.rnova remnants interacting with a molecular *** formation of a comp.ession wave is observed in the foam ball,indicating the imp.rtance of such exp.riments for understanding how star formation is triggered by external agents.

We study the magnetic p.op.rties of the double p.rovskite ruthenate comp.und Sr2YRuO6 using Monte Carlo simulations(MCS).We elaborate the ground state p.ase diagrams for all p.ssible and stable *** magnetizations and the suscep.ibilities as a function of temp.rature for the studied system are also *** effects of the exchange coup.ing interactions and the crystal field are examined and *** the other hand, since the comp.und Sr2YRuO6 exhibits an antiferromagnetic behavior, we find its néel temp.rature, Tn≈ 31 K, which is in good agreement with the exp.rimental results in the *** comp.ete this study, the hysteresis loop. and the coercive field as a function of the external magnetic field are also obtained for fixed values of the p.ysical p.rameters.

BACKGROUnD Isolated left ventricular ap.cal hyp.p.asia(ILVAH),also known as truncated left ventricle(LV),is a very unusual *** is characterised by a truncated,sp.erical,and non-ap.x forming *** true ap.x is occup.ed by the right *** to the rarity of the disease,just a few case rep.rts and limited case series have been p.blished in the *** To analysing the so far 37 rep.rted ILVAH cases *** The electronic databases p.bMed and Scop.s were investigated from their establishment up.to December 13,*** The majority of cases rep.rted occurred in males(52.7%).Mean age at diagnosis was 26.1±19.6 *** than a third of the p.tients were asymp.omatic(35.1%).The most usual clinical p.esentation was breathlessness(40.5%).The most commonly detected electrocardiogram changes were T wave abnormalities(29.7%)and right axis deviation with p.or R wave p.ogression(24.3%).Atrial fibrillation/flutter was detected in 24.3%.Echocardiograp.y was p.rformed in 97.3%of cases and cardiac MRI in 91.9%of *** fraction was reduced in more than a half of p.tients(56.7%).An associated congenital heart disease was found in 16.2%.Heart failure therap. was administered in 35.1%of *** outcome was favorable in the vast majority of p.tients,with just one *** ILVAH is a multifaceted entity with a so far unp.edictable course,ranging from benign until the elderly to sudden death during adolescence.
