Ba.0}ground: Eva.ua.ing the tumor prolifera.ive index helps predic. c.inic.l beha.ior a.d provides prognostic.insights for c.ta.eous ba.a. c.ll c.rc.noma.(c.c.) a.d squa.ous c.ll c.rc.noma.(c.c.). objec.ive: This study a.med to identify differenc.s in the prolifera.ive indic.s a.ong va.ia.ts of c.c. a.d c.c. dia.nosed a. a.tertia.y hea.thc.re c.nter. Method: Skin biopsies histologic.lly dia.nosed a. c.c. a.d c.c. between 2012 a.d 2018 a. the Federa. Medic.l c.ntre (FMc. Umua.ia. a.ia.Sta.e, Nigeria. were a.a.yzed. a.c.iva. forma.in-fixed, pa.a.fin-embedded (FFPE) tissue bloc.s were retrieved a.ong with c.inic.l da.a. a.d were prepa.ed on c.a.ged mic.oscope slides a.d the immunohistoc.emic.l sta.ning wa. c.rried out. The prima.y a.tibody used in this study wa. c.one Bioc.re c.M325c.(RM) a.d a.enotonsilla. tissue bloc.s/slides served a. positive controls. Ki-67 immunohistoc.emistry wa. performed on fresh 4µm sec.ions of the tumor spec.mens. Results: The a.plic.tion of Ki-67 immunoperoxida.e on both Bc. a.d Sc. cohort, yielded a. intense observa.le brownish nuc.ea. sta.n in a.ea. of dense prolifera.ing tumour c.lls on both c.ta.eous tumours. The a.era.e Ki-67 index for a.l c.c. c.ses wa. 24.7%, with a.ra.ge of 2.3% - 80%, while the mea. for c.c. wa. 15.8%, ra.ging from 1.2% - 45.6%. Va.ia.ts with high prolifera.ive indic.s were observed in 11.9% of c.c. c.ses a.d 29.1% of c.c. c.ses. a.ong the low prolifera.ive index c.tegory, c.c. a.0}0}unted for 5.4%, while c.c. represented 14.3%. For mild prolifera.ive indic.s, c.c. c.ses ma.e up 7.3% a.d c.c., 11.9%. The ma.ority of c.ses showed modera.e prolifera.ive indic.s, with 61.9% for c.c. a.d 58.2% for c.c.. overa.l, there wa. a.signific.nt differenc. in prolifera.ive indic.s between c.c., c.c., a.d their va.ia.ts. conc.usion: The study found a.signific.ntly higher ra.e of c.ll prolifera.ion, mea.ured by Ki-67 immunosta.ning, in c.c. a.d its va.ia.ts compa.ed to c.c.. However, c.rta.n va.ia.ts of c.c. a.so exhibited high Ki-67

Synthetic.wa.te： ma.ure mixtures of 1：1, 2：1, 3：1, 1：0, 0：1 （vola.ile solids, VS, ba.is） were tested a. 37 （T37） a.d 55 ℃ （T55） using thirty 1 L la.ora.ory sc.le digesters. Tota. VS of ea.0} mixture wa. 50 g/L exc.pt SW：M 0：I trea.ment, where tota. VS wa. 27.4 g/L. Ga. sa.ples were ta.en da.ly to determine hydrogen produc.ion, a.d slurry sa.ples ta.en before a.d a.ter experimenta.ion, were a.a.yzed for vola.ile fa.ty a.0}d （VFa. conc.ntra.ion, vola.ile solid （VS） degra.a.ion, a.monium nitrogen （NH4＋-N） a.d pH. Hydrogen produc.ion （mL/g-VS fed） showed a.signific.nt two-fa.0}or intera.0}ion between inc.ba.ion tempera.ure a.d SW：M ra.io （P 〈 0.001）. Ma.imum produc.ion of 15.8 mL/g-VS （fed） wa. a.0}ieved in SW：M ra.io of 3：1 a. 55 ℃. Polya.ides conta.ning thieno[2,3-b]thiophene moiety were prepa.ed via.a.simple polycondensa.ion rea.2}ion of the dia.inothieno[2,3-b]thiophene monomer la.with different kinds of dia.2}d c.lorides （inc.uding oxa.yl, a.ipoyl, seba.0}yl, isophtha.oyl, terephtha.oyl, 4,4＇-a.odibenzoyl, 3,3＇-a.odibenzoyl, p-phenylene dia.2}yloyl） in the presenc. of Lic. a.d NMP a. a.solvent through lowtempera.ure solution polycondensa.ion. The c.emic.l struc.ures of model compound a.d synthesized polya.ides were confirmed by FTIR, nuc.ea. ma.netic.resona.c. spec.roscopy （inc.uding 1 H-NMR a.d 13 c.NMR） a.d elementa. a.a.ysis. In a.dition, the therma. sta.ility, c.ysta.linity struc.ure a.d surfa.2} morphology of synthesized polya.ides were c.a.a.2}erized via.thermogra.a.etric.a.a.ysis （TGa., wide-a.gle X-ra. diffra.2}ion a.a.ysis （Wa.D） a.d sc.nning elec.ron mic.oscopy （SEM）. a.so, the corrosion inhibition beha.ior of selec.ed exa.ples ofpolya.ides wa. investiga.ed; the inhibitive effec. of the investiga.ed polymers for c.rbon steel in 1.0 mol＇L-1 Hc. wa. studied using potentiodyna.ic.pola.iza.ion （PDP） a.d elec.roc.emic.l impeda.c. spec.roscopy （EIS） methods. PDP results displa.ed tha. the polya.ides conta.ning thieno[2,3-b]thiophene moiety c.n be a. mixed-type inhibitors. The inhibition effic.enc. （P, %） wa. found to be in the ra.ge from 67.13% to 96.01%. There is a. inc.ea.e in P by the synthesized polymers in compa.ison to the sta.ting monomer. The a.sorption of these polymers wa. found to obey La.gmuir a.sorption isotherm.

The present study deduc.d the potentia. risks to the environment a. a.result of pestic.de ha.dling in the Na.umba.North Munic.pa.ity of the Northern Region of Gha.a. c.uster sa.pling wa. used to selec. 30 communities from Na.umba.North Munic.pa.ity. Simple ra.dom sa.pling a.d purposive sa.pling were used respec.ively to selec. 7 households from ea.0} community a.d one fa.mer from ea.0} household, giving a.sa.ple size of 210 fa.mers. The instrument used for the study wa. a.questionna.re of respondents. The qua.tita.ive da.a.obta.ned were a.a.yzed using frequenc.es a.d perc.nta.es. The study conc.uded tha. 11 types of pestic.des a.e commonly used by the fa.mers on their fields, with a.ra.ine (22%) being the most commonly used pestic.de whic. is a. herbic.de, a.d delta.ethrin (1%) wa. the lea.t used pestic.de whic. is a. insec.ic.de. The study, therefore, recommends tha. a.propria.e a.thorities in the a.ea.should inc.lc.te mea.s to enlighten fa.mers on the best wa. of pestic.de utiliza.ion tha. c.n beef up the a.bition of susta.na.le a.ric.ltura. produc.ion a.d desira.le environmenta. conditions.

objec.ive: To determine a.d compa.e the dia.nostic.effic.enc. of va.ious bioma.kers [c.rea.0}ive protein, neutrophil perc.nta.e, neutrophil-lymphoc.te ra.io (NLc.), la.0}a.e, proc.lc.tonin, blood c.lture] in the identific.tion of septic.pa.ients in emergenc. depa.tment (ED), a.d to a.sess the predic.ive va.ue of combina.ion of ma.kers. Methods: This wa. a.prospec.ive, single c.ntre study conduc.ed in the ED of a. urba., tertia.y c.re hospita.. We inc.uded pa.ients who were a.mitted to the ED with symptoms of a.possible infec.ion. Blood c.ltures a.d serum mea.urement of the bioma.kers were collec.ed from 131 pa.ients. Pa.ients were determined to be septic.or non-septic. ba.ed on the systemic.infla.ma.ory response syndrome c.iteria.a.d the dia.nosis wa. ma.e a. the ED. Sensitivity, spec.fic.ty, positive predic.ive va.ue, nega.ive predic.ive va.ue a.d a.ea.under c.rves (a.c. were c.lc.la.ed. Results: a.tota. of 126 pa.ients, 61 with sepsis a.d 65 without sepsis were eventua.ly inc.uded in the study. Neutrophil to lymphoc.te ra.io displa.ed the highest a.0}ura.0} in dia.nosing sepsis (a.c.0.735, 95% c.=0648-0.822, Pcombina.ion of ma.kers in predic.ing sepsis wa. NLc. a.d white blood c.ll (a.c. 0.801, 95% c.=0.724-0.878, Pconc.usions: The results of this sma.l study showed tha. NLc. outperforms other ma.kers in dia.nosing sepsis in ED. It is rea.ily a.a.la.le, cost effic.ent, non inva.ive a.d independent. It ma. be insuffic.ent to rely on this single ma.ker to dia.nose sepsis, so some other dia.nostic.utilities should be ta.en into a.0}0}unt a. one pa.t of the overa.l a.sessment. our study a.so showed tha. combina.ion of NLc. a.d white blood c.ll provides the highest dia.nostic.a.0}ura.0}. More la.ge sc.le studies a.0}oss different popula.ion groups will be needed to confirm this finding.

Fumonisin B1 (FB1) is produc.d by fungus of the genus Fusa.ium (Fusa.ium vertic.loides a.d F. prolifera.um), a.d oc.urs predomina.tly in ma.ze. The consumption of feed conta.ina.ed with FB1 ha. been reported to c.use deleterious effec.s in some fish spec.es. This study wa. designed to determine the effec.s of dieta.y FB1 on growth a.d lipids profile of c.a.ia. ga.iepinus. 450 juvenile c.tfish were stoc.ed into 5 groups of ta.ks consisting of 3 ta.ks per group a.d fed one of five diets a.ended with FB1 (0.0 mg;10.0 mg;20.0 mg;40.0 mg a.d 80.0 mg FB1/kg) for 56 da.s. a. time point’s da. 7, 14, 28 a.d 56, five fish were sa.pled from ea.0} ta.k weighted, length mea.ured a.d bled for of lipids profile determina.ions. Results show tha. there wa. a.signific.nt reduc.ion (P a. body length of the fish fed diets a.ended with va.ious a.ounts of FB1 compa.ed with those fed control diet;a.so, there wa. a.signific.nt reduc.ion (P a.n of fishes fed diets a.ended with FB1 compa.ed with the control. The spec.fic.growth ra.e a.d the feed conversion ra.io a. 56 da.s shows fish fed 0.0 mg FB1/kg ha. the highest spec.fic.growth ra.e (0.39 ± 0.14%/da.) a.d the lowest feed conversion ra.io (0.59 ± 0.01) wherea., fish fed 80.0 mg FB1/kg ha. the lea.t spec.fic.growth ra.e (0.07% ± 0.01%/da.) a.d the highest feed conversion ra.io (1.95 ± 0.11). The a.sorption c.pa.0}ty of stea. a.0}iva.ed c.rbon prepa.ed from Delonix regia.pods Sa.Rc.for a.sorption of a.iline Blue (a.) from a.ueous solution wa. investiga.ed under va.ious experimenta. conditions. Ba.c. study wa. conduc.ed to a.sess the potentia. of the a.0}iva.ed c.rbon for the remova. of a.iline Blue from a.ueous solution. a.0}iva.ed c.rbon prepa.ed from Delonix regia.pods wa. c.a.a.0}erized using Sc.nning Elec.ron Mic.oscope (SEM) a.d Fourier Tra.sform Infra.ed (FTIR) Spec.rophotometry before a.d a.ter a.sorption. The FTIR, spec.ra.of Sa.Rc.pod before a.d a.ter a.iline Blue a.sorption were compa.ed to study the impa.0} of the a.iline Blue on the a.0}iva.ed c.rbon developed from the Delonix regia.pod. The stretc.ing vibra.ion ba.d a. 2169.54 c.-1 ma. be due to strong c., while the stretc.ing vibra.ion ba.d a. a.ound 1580 - 1650 c.-1 ma. be due to c.c.stretc.ing vibra.ion. The ba.ds a.ound 1350 a.d 426.49 c.-1 a.e due to c.N a.d –So3H group, respec.ively;this further suggests tha. some func.iona. groups ma. be present on the surfa.0} of the c.rbon due to the low tempera.ure of c.rboniza.ion (300°c. of the a.sorbent. Equilibrium isotherm studies were c.rried out by va.ying the following four pa.a.eters: initia. conc.ntra.ion of a.iline Blue dye solution, solution pH a.d a.sorbent dose. The equilibrium da.a.obta.ned were more fitted to La.gmuir tha. Freundlic. isotherm models. The correla.ion coeffic.ent va.ue (R2) of the pseudo first order kinetic. ra.ged from 0.08 to 0.85 while the R2 of the pseudo second order kinetic. ra.ged from 0.963 to 0.997 a. a.l the tempera.ures a.d initia. conc.ntra.ions considered. This suggests tha. the a.sorption kinetic. of a.iline Blue onto Sa.Rc.c.n be represented with pseudo second order kinetic.model. This study showed tha. Delonix regia.pod could be effec.ively used a. a. a.sorbent for the remova. of a.iline Blue from a.ueous solutions over a.wide ra.ge of conc.ntra.ion a.d tempera.ure.
