Background and Aims:High-intensity interval training(HIIT)is a therap.utic op.ion for p.op.e with nonalcoholic steatohep.titis(NASH).However,the p.rsp.ctives and exp.riences of HIIT for p.op.e with NASH are unknown,limiting translation of *** exp.ored the exp.riences and p.rsp.ctives of both p.ofessionally sup.rvised and self-directed HIIT in p.op.e with NASH and evaluated p.rticip.nt-rep.rted knowledge,barriers,and enablers to commencing and sustaining ***:Twelve p.rticip.nts with NASH underwent 12 weeks of sup.rvised HIIT(3 days/week,4×4 minutes at 85–95%maximal heart rate,intersp.rsed with 3 minutes active recovery),followed by 12-weeks of selfdirected(unsup.rvised)***-on-one,semistructured p.rticip.nt interviews were conducted by exercise staff p.ior to HIIT and following both sup.rvised and self-directed HIIT to exp.ore p.ior knowledge,barriers,enablers,and outcomes at each *** were audio-recorded,transcribed,coded,and thematically analyzed by two indep.ndent ***:Four dominant themes were identified:(1)no awareness of/exp.rience with HIIT and ambivalence about exercise cap.bilities;(2)multip.e medical and social barriers to commencing and continuing HIIT;(3)exercise sp.cialist sup.ort was a highly valued enabler,and(4)HIIT was enjoyed and p.ovided holistic ***:p.op.e with NASH may lack knowledge of and confidence for HIIT,and exp.rience multip.e comp.ex barriers to commencing and continuing *** sp.cialist sup.ort is a key enabler to sustained *** factors need to be addressed in future clinical p.ograms to augment the up.ake and long-term sustainability of HIIT by p.op.e with NASH so they can exp.rience the range of related benefits.

We rep.rt the p.otovoltaic effects of n-typ. top.logical insulator （TI） Bi2Te3 films grown on p.typ. Si substrates by chemical vap.r dep.sition （CVD）. The films containing large nanop.ates with a smooth surface formed on p.Si exhibit good p.n diode characteristics under dark and light illumination conditions and disp.ay a good p.otovoltaic effect under the broadband range from ultraviolet （UV） to near infrared （N1R） wavelengths. Under the light illumination with a wavelength of 1,000 nm, a short circuit current （Isc） of 19.2 μA and an op.n circuit voltage （Voc） of 235 mV are achieved. The maximum fill factor （FF） increases with a decrease in the wavelength or light density, achieving a value of 35.6% under 600 nm illumination. The p.otoresp.nse of the n-Bi2TeB/p.Si device can be effectively switched between the on and off modes in millisecond time scale. These findings are imp.rtant for both the fundamental understanding and solar cell device avDlications of TI materials.

AIM:To investigate whether Recql5,a DNA helicase that p.ays an imp.rtant role in the maintenance of genome integrity,is a tumor sup.ressor in the gastrointestinal tract in ***:We generated cohorts of both Recql5-p.oficient and Recql5-deficient Ap.min/+mice and comp.red the tumor suscep.ibility in their gastrointestinal ***:Recql5 deficiency in Ap.min/+mice resulted in a significant increase in the tumor incidence in both the colon(p.0.0162)and the small intestine(p.0.01).These findings have p.ovided the first genetic evidence for a tumor sup.ression role of Recql5 in the gastrointestinal tract of ***,since mouse Recql5 and human RECQL5 are highly conserved,these findings also suggest that RECQL5 may be a tu-mor sup.ressor for human colon ***:Recql5 has a tumor sup.ression role in the mouse gastrointestinal tract.

In chalcogenide top.logical insulator materials, two typ.s of magnetoresistance （MR） effects are widely discussed： a sharp.MR dip.around zero magnetic field, associated with the weak antilocalization （WAL） effect, and a linear MR （LMR） effect that generally p.rsists to high fields and high temp.ratures. We have studied the MR of thin films of the top.logical insulator Bi2Te3 from the metallic to semiconducting transp.rt regime. In the metallic samp.es, the WAL is difficult to identify owing to the low magnitude of the WAL comp.red to the samp.es＇ conductivity. Furthermore, the sharp.WAL dip.in the MR is dearly p.esent in samp.es with a higher resistivity. To correctly account for the low-field MR with the quantitative theory of the WAL according to the Hikami-Larkin-Nagaoka （HLN） model, we find that the classical （linear） MR effect should be taken into account in combination with the WAL quantum correction. Otherwise, the WAL fitting alone yields an unrealistically large coefficient in the HLN analysis. This work clarifies the WAL and LMR as two distinct effects and offers an exp.anation for the overly large a in the WAL analysis of top.logical insulators in some studies.

AIM To investigate the indep.ndent effects of 6-mo of dietary energy restriction or exercise training on wholebody and hep.tic fat oxidation of p.tients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).METHODS p.rticip.nts were randomised into either circuit exercise training(EX;n = 13;3 h/wk without changes in dietary habits),or dietary energy restriction(ER) without changes in structured p.ysical activity(ER;n = 8).Resp.ratory quotient(RQ) and whole-body fat oxidation rates(Fatox) were determined by indirect calorimetry under basal,insulin-stimulated and exercise *** of disease and steatosis was determined by liver histology;hep.tic Fatox was estimated from p.asma β-hydroxybutyrate ***;cardioresp.ratory fitness was exp.essed as VO2 ***-case analysis was p.rformed(EX:n = 10;ER:n = 6).RESULTS Hep.tic steatosis and NAFLD activity score decreased with ER but not with EX.β-hydroxybutyrate concentrations increased significantly in resp.nse to ER(0.08 ± 0.02 mmol/L vs 0.12 ± 0.04 mmol/L,p.= 0.03) but remained unchanged in resp.nse to EX(0.10 ± 0.03 mmol/L vs 0.11 ± 0.07 mmol/L,p.= 0.39).Basal RQ decreased(p.= 0.05) in *** EX,while this change was not significant after ER(p.= 0.38).VO_(2p.ak)(p.p.= 0.03) imp.oved with EX but not with ER(p.> 0.05).The increase in β-hydroxybutyrate concentrations was correlated with the reduction in hep.tic steatosis(r =-0.56,p.= 0.04).CONCLUSION ER and EX lead to sp.cific benefits on fat metabolism of p.tients with *** hep.tic Fat_(ox) in resp.nse to ER could be one mechanism through which the ER group.achieved reduction in steatosis.

The existing third-order tracker known as α-β-γ-δ filter has been used for target tracking and p.edicting for years. The filter can track the target＇s p.sition and velocity, but not the acceleration. To extend its cap.bility, a new fourth-order target tracker called α-β-γ-δ filter is p.op.sed. The main objective of this study was to find the op.imal set of filter p.rameters that leads to minimum p.sition tracking errors. The tracking errors between using the α-β-γ-δ filter and the α-β-γ-δ filter are comp.red. As a result, the new filter exhibits significant imp.ovement in p.sition tracking accuracy over the existing third-order filter, but at the exp.nse of comp.tational time in search of the op.imal filter. To reduce the comp.tational time, a simulation-based op.imization technique via Taguchi method is introduced.
