We detail the generation of a pulsed atomic oxygen(AO)broad beam with a high flux-density via collision-induced dissociation of O_(2) to support practical industrial exploitation of AOs,particularly for facilitating 2-dimenstional oxidation/etching at a fast rate of one-monolayer per second in an area≥1000 cm².This innovation fuses the following interdisciplinary concepts:(a)a high density of O^(*) can be produced in an electron-cyclotron-resonance(ECR)O2 plasma;(b)o^(*) can be extracted and accelerated with an aperture-electrode in the plasma.

As of October 2018,almost half of US imports of goods from China are subject to new US tariffs at various rates,mostly at 10%until the year-end of 2018,when the rates were scheduled to be raised to 25%.These tariff rates will prove to be prohibitive for most if not all of the US imports from *** that US imports from China will be reduced by half,the initial direct real impact on the Chinese economy may be estimated at a loss of 0.43%of *** indirect effects are included,the full real impact may be estimated at a maximum loss of 1.12%of Chinese *** estimated impacts are relatively small and quite *** is a possibility that the scope of the US tariffs may be expanded to cover all US imports from China,in which case the full negative economic impact will be doubled,but still leaving an expected rate of economic growth in excess of 4%.The Renminbi is not likely to be significantly devalued as a result of the trade ***,there are also longer-term underlying forces at work behind the China–US trade war–the competition for economic and technological dominance and the rise of populism,isolationism,nationalism and *** is important for China–US relations,and China’s relations with the rest of the world,in particular with the European Union,Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN),Japan and Russia,to be carefully managed going forward.

Spreadsheets are very common for information processing to support decision making by both professional developers and non-technical end ***,business intelligence and artificial intelligence are increasingly popular in the industry nowadays,where spreadsheets have been used as,or integrated into,intelligent or expert systems in various application ***,it has been repeatedly reported that faults often exist in operational spreadsheets,which could severely compromise the quality of conclusions and decisions based on the *** a view to systematically examining this problem via survey of existing work,we have conducted a comprehensive literature review on the quality issues and related techniques of spreadsheets over a 35.5-year period(from January 1987 to June 2022)for target journals and a 10.5-year period(from January 2012 to June 2022)for target *** other findings,two major ones are:(a)Spreadsheet quality is best addressed throughout the whole spreadsheet life cycle,rather than just focusing on a few specific stages of the life cycle.(b)Relatively more studies focus on spreadsheet testing and debugging(related to fault detection and removal)when compared with spreadsheet specification,modeling,and design(related to development).As prevention is better than cure,more research should be performed on the early stages of the spreadsheet life *** by our comprehensive review,we have identified the major research gaps as well as highlighted key research directions for future work in the area.

Deterioration and loss of quality of vegetable oil is a big challenge in the food *** study investigated the synthesis of nickel ferrite(Ni Fe_(2)_(O4))via co-precipitation method and its use for the removal of free fatty acids(FFAs)in deteriorated vegetable *** Fe2 O4 was characterized using Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric(TG)analysis,Brunauer–Emm ett–Teller(BET)surface area,transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX).Synthesis of Ni Fe_(2)_(O4)was confirmed by characterization,which revealed a BET surface area of 16.30 m^(2)·g^(-1)and crystallite size of 29 *** Fe_(2)_(O4)exhibited an adsorption capacity of 145.20 L·kg^(-1)towards FFAs with an 80.69%removal in a process,which obeys Langmuir isotherm and can be described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic *** process has enthalpy(DH)of 11.251 k Jámolà1 and entropy(DS)of 0.038 k J·mol^(-1)K^(-1)with negative free energy change(DG),which suggests the process to be spontaneous and *** quantum chemical computation analysis via density functional theory further revealed the sorption mechanism of FFAs by Ni Fe_(2)_(O4)occurred via donor–acceptor interaction,which may be described by the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)and the highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO).The study showed Ni Fe_(2)_(O4)to be a potential means that can remove FFAs from deteriorated vegetable oil.

Objectives： Polymerization shrinkage of dental composites remains a major concern in restorative dentistry because it can lead to micro-cracking of the tooth and debonding at the tooth-restoration interface. The aim of this study was to measure the full-field polymerization shrinkage of dental composites using the optical digital image correlation （DIC） method and to evaluate how the measurement is influenced by the factors in experiment setup and image analysis. Methods： Four commercial dental composites, Premise Dentine, Z 100, Z250 and Tetric EvoCeram, were tested. Composite was first placed into a slot mould to form a bar specimen with rectangular-section of 4 mmx2 mm, followed by the surface painting to create irregular speckles. Curing was then applied at one end of the specimen while the other part were covered against curing light for simulating the clinical curing condition of composite in dental cavity. The painted surface was recorded by a charge-coupled device （CCD） camera before and after curing. Subsequently, the volumetric shrinkage of the specimen was calculated with specialist DIC software based on image cross correlation. In addition, a few factors that may influence the measuring accuracy, including the subset window size, speckle size, illumination light and specimen length, were also evaluated. Results： The volumetric shrinkage of the specimen generally decreases with increasing distance from the irradiated surface with a conspicuous exception being the composite Premise Dentine as its maximum shrinkage occurred at a subsurface distance of about 1 mm instead of the irradiated surface. Z100 had the greatest maximum shrinkage strain, followed by Z250, Tetric EvoCeram and then Premise Dentine. Larger subset window size made the shrinkage strain contour smoother. But the cost was that some details in the heterogeneity of the material were lost. Very small subset window size resulted in a lot of noise in the data, making it difficult to discern the g

The design and potential application analysis of the novel solar-absorbing integrated facade module and its corresponding building-integrated solar facade water heating system are presented in this *** with the conventional building envelope,the main novities of the proposed facade module lie in its contributions towards the supplied water preheating to loads and the internal heat gain ***,the proposed building-integrated solar facade water heating system broadens the combination modes of the solar thermal system and the building envelope.A dynamic model is introduced first for system design and performance *** evaluate the energy-saving potential and feasibility of the implementation of the proposed facade module,this paper carried out a suitable case study by replacing the conventional facade module in the ongoing retrofitting project of a kitchen,part of the canteen of a graduate *** detailed thermal performances of three system design options are compared in the typical winter and summer weeks and throughout the year,and then,with the preferred system design,the economic,energy,and environmental effects of the proposed system are *** was found that the system with a high flow rate of the circulating water is *** annual electricity saved reaches 4175.3 kWh with yearly average thermal efficiency at 46.9%,and its corresponding cost payback time,energy payback time,and greenhouse gas payback time are 3.8,1.7,1.7 years,*** study confirms the feasibility and long-term benefits of the proposed building-integrated solar facade water heating system in buildings.

A prototype of full-color active-matrix micro-light-emitting diode(micro-LED)micro-display with a pixel density of 391 pixel per inch(ppi)using InGaN/AlGaInP heterogeneous integration is *** blue/green dual-color micro-LED arrays realized on a single metal organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD)-grown GaN-on-Si epiwafer and AlGaInP red micro-LED arrays are both monolithically fabricated,followed by the integration with a common complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS)backplane via flip-chip bonding technology to form a doublelayer thin-film display ***-color images with decent color gamut and brightness are successfully displayed through the fine adjustment of driving current densities of RGB *** full-color display combines the advantages of high quantum efficiency of InGaN material on blue/green light and AlGaInP material on red light through heterogeneous integration and high pixel density through monolithic fabrication approach,demonstrating the feasibility and prospects of high brightness,good color performance,and high-resolution micro-LED microdisplays in future metaverse applications.
