In this paper, a nonlinear semiquantum Hamiltonian associated to the special unitary group SU(2) Lie algebra is studied so as to analyze its dynamics. The treatment here applied allows for a reduction in: 1) the system’s dimension, as well as 2) the number of system’s parameters (to only three). We can now discern clear patterns in: 1) the complete characterization of the system’s fixed points and 2) their stability. It is shown that the parameter associated to the uncertainty principle, which constitutes a very strong constraint, is the key one in determining the presence of fixed points and bifurcation curves in the parameter’s space.

Different modes of foveal regeneration after closure of full-thickness macular holes by(re)vitrectomy and autologous platelet concentrate

AIm: To describe using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography the regeneration of the foveal morphology after pars plana(re)vitrectomy surgery and gas tamponade combined with injection of autologous platelet concentrate to treat full-thickness macular holes, and to describe different anatomical outcome. mETHODS: A retrospective case series of 8 eyes of 8 patients was described. RESULTS: In all cases investigated, the plateletassisted closure of macular holes was associated with a rapid resolution of cystic cavities in the foveal walls. In two patients, there was a regular regeneration of the foveal morphology after hole closure;the regenerated central fovea had a regular structure with a foveola and photoreceptors. In three other patients, there was an irregular regeneration of the fovea;a foveola was not formed, photoreceptor cells were absent from the foveal center, and the center was composed of müller and retinal pigment epithelial(RPE) cells. The foveal regeneration after hole closure may proceed with or without a temporary detachment of the foveal center from the RPE, and with or without a direct contact between the central outer nuclear layer(ONL) and the RPE. Contacts between the ONL and RPE were observed only in patients with an irregular foveal regeneration after hole ***: The data show that there are different modes of foveal regeneration after closure of macular holes with(re)vitrectomy and platelet concentrate. It is suggested that the regular regeneration of the foveal morphology proceeds by müller cell-mediated tissue movements without cell proliferation, whereas the irregular foveal regeneration proceeds in part by proliferation of müller and RPE cells.

Introduction The International Family medicine Clinic(IFmC)was established in 2002 by the University of Virginia Department of Family medicine to provide comprehensive,timely,culturally sensitive and high-quality healthcare to the growing refugee and special immigrant population in Central Virginia,*** The purpose of this paper is to describe the IFmC,with a specific focus on interprofessional roles,interprofessional collaboration,community partnerships and the services and resources available to IFmC *** The clinic has served over 3100 refugees from 60 countries in its 16-year *** 2019,the clinic staff now includes 4 attending physicians,2 nurse practitioners and 14 residents who have dedicated clinic time to see refugees;a registered nurse care coordinator and a social worker dedicated to the IFmC refugee population;2 clinical psychologists and doctoral students in clinical psychology;and a clinical *** IFmC also provides onsite psychiatric care.A process flow map depicts the interconnectivity of interprofessional team members working together with other specialty care providers within the medical centre and with community partners on behalf of refugee patients through the resettlement *** Individuals who arrive in the USA as refugees are a particularly vulnerable patient group and often require an interprofessional team *** IFmC may serve as a model for other institutions interested in starting a similar interprofessional,refugee-centred medical home.

Background Stone pine(Pinus pinea), a drought-resistant species, has significant socio-economic benefits and increasing interest for the establishment of productive plantations in several countries, especially in a climate change context. monitoring hourly stem diameter variations contributes to the understanding of the tree-growth response to changes in environmental conditions and management. By monitoring the diameter expansion of tree stems, high-resolution band dendrometers were used to study the development of adult trees growing in a semi-arid coastal environment of central Chile under fertilized and non-fertilized soil conditions through the span of a *** Short cycles( 28 h) occurred at a higher frequency in fertilized trees(16 vs 6). most of the circadian cycles were regular(24 ± 3 h). The longest cycle duration(59 h) was observed in fertilized trees during spring. In all seasons, each phase of the circadian cycle, especially during the stem diameter increment phase(P3, irreversible growth), started earlier in fertilized than in control trees. P3 duration was significantly longer in fertilized than in control trees in springtime. The maximum shrinkage(P1) was observed in summer for both treatments. Stem diameter increased faster in fer-tilized than in control trees throughout the year, with the highest accumulation occurring in spring and the lowest in autumn. The daily variability pattern showed lower growth under high temperature across *** This study highlights the importance of fertilization in enhancing stone pine diameter growth. This cultural practice should be further explored to contribute to the mitigation of climate change effects in semi-arid environments.

AIm： To study of the effect of caffeic acid phenethyl ester （CAPE） on the initiation period in a medium-term assay of hepatocarcinogenesis. mETHODS： male Wistar rats were subjected to a carcinogenic treatment （CT） and sacrificed at 25^th d; altered hepatic foci （AHF） were generated efficiently. To a second group of rats a single 20 mg/kg doses of CAPE was given 12 h before initiation with CT and were sacrificed at 25^th d. We evaluated the expression of preneoplastic markers as Y-glutamyltranspeptidase （GGT） and glutathione S-transferase type pi protein （GSTp） by histochemistry, RT-PCR and Western blot analyses, respectively. We measured thiobarbituric acid reactive substances （TBARS） in homogenates of liver and used Unscheduled DNA Synthesis （UDS） assay by incorporation of [^3H] thymidine （^3HdT） in primary hepatocyte cultures （PHC）. RESULTS： At 25^th d after CT CAPE reduced the observed increase of GGT^＋AHF by 84% and liver expression ofggt mRNA by 100%. In case of the GSTp protein, the level was reduced by 90%. As indicative of oxidative stress generated by diethylnitrosamine （DEN） 12 h after its administration, we detected a 68% increase of TBARS. When CAPE was administered before DEN, it completely protected from liver TBARS induction. To have an indication of the sole effect of CAPE on initiation, two carcinogens were tested in a UDS assay in PHC, we used methyl-n-nitrosoguanidine as a direct carcinogen and DEN, as indirect carcinogen. In this assay, genotoxic damage caused by carcinogens was abolished at 5μm CAPE concentration. CONCLUSION： Our results demonstrated that CAPE possesses anti-genotoxic and antineoplastic capabilities, by an anti-oxidative and free-radical scavenging mechanism.

Ages, Sources and Tectonic Settings of the Triassic Igneous Rocks in the Easternmost Segment of the East Kunlun Orogen, Central China

U–Pb analysis of zircons from igneous rocks in the Elashan mountain, easternmost segment of the East Kunlun Orogen yielded 252–232 ma. Geochemically, these rocks are mainly high in SiO_2, K_2O and K_2O＋Na_2O contents, low in P_2O_5 and TiO_2 contents, depleted in Ba, Sr, P, Ti and enriched in U, Hf, Zr, showing features of I–type granite. The zircon εHf（t） values of the Early Triassic Jiamuge＇er rhyolite porphyry（252±3 ma） are positive（＋1.6 to ＋12.1）, suggesting a juvenile crustal source mixing with little old crustal component, and the zircon εHf（t） values of the middle Triassic manzhang＇gang granodiorite（244±3 ma） and Dehailong diorite（237±3 ma） are predominately negative（-8.4 to ＋1.0）, indicating an older crustal source. In comparison, the zircon εHf（t） values of the Late Triassic syenogranites from Suigen＇ergang（234±2ma）, Ge＇ermugang（233±2 ma） and Yue＇ergen（232±3 ma） plutons vary from-3.8 to ＋5.0, suggesting a crust-mantle mixing source. From Early–middle Triassic（252–237 ma） to Late Triassic（234–232 ma）, the geochemical characteristics of these rocks show the change from a subduction–collision setting to a post-collision or within-plate setting. By comparing of these new age data with 77 zircon U–Pb ages of igneous rocks of the eastern part of East Kunlun orogen from published literatures, we conclude that the igneous rocks of Elashan mountain and these of the eastern part of East Kunlun Orogen belong to one magmatic belt. All these data indicate that the Triassic magmatic events of the eastern part of East Kunlun Orogen can be divided into three stages： 252–238 ma, 238–226 ma and 226–212 ma. Statistically, the average εHf（t） values of the threestage igneous rocks show a tendency, from the old to young, from-0.75±0.25 to lower-2.65±0.52 and then to-1.22±0.25, respectively, which reveal the change of their sources. Background:IgG-class autoantibodies to N-methyl-D-Aspartate(NmDA)-type glutamate receptors define a novel entity of autoimmune *** examining the prevalence of NmDA IgA/Igm antibodies in patients with Parkinson disease with/without dementia produced conflicting *** measured NmDA antibodies in a large,well phenotyped sample of Parkinson patients without and with cognitive impairment(n=296)and controls(n=295)free of neuropsychiatric *** phenotyping and large numbers allowed statistically meaningful correlation of antibody status with diagnostic subgroups as well as quantitative indicators of disease severity and cognitive ***:NmDA antibodies were analysed in the serum of patients and controls using well established validated *** used anti-NmDA antibody positivity as the main independent variable and correlated it with disease status and phenotypic ***:The frequency of NmDA IgA/Igm antibodies was lower in Parkinson patients(13%)than in controls(22%)and higher than in previous studies in both *** IgA/Igm antibodies were neither significantly associated with diagnostic subclasses of Parkinson disease according to cognitive impairment,nor with quantitative indicators of disease severity and cognitive impairment.A positive NmDA antibody status was positively correlated with age in controls but not in Parkinson ***:It is unlikely albeit not impossible that NmDA antibodies play a significant role in the pathogenesis or progression of Parkinson disease *** Parkinson disease with dementia,while NmDA IgG antibodies define a separate disease of its own.

Father Prepared, Committed, and Involved in His Child’s Birth: The Experience of Early Father-Child Skin to Skin Contact at Birth

Although the figure of the father has progressively gained a place in birth, it is still displaced and in the mere role of a companion. Objective: To understand the experience of fathers who have prepared to get actively involved in birth and to undergo the experience of early physical contact with their newborns. Method: A qualitative Action-Research (AR) design was carried out, which considered the antenatal educational intervention of 12 fathers together with their pregnant partners. After delivery, individual interviews were conducted in depth to collect the paternal experience at birth. Results: The central emerging theme developed during AR was “Paternal role and early bonding with the child”, whereas the experience was comprehended in two central themes related to the meaning of the father-child encounter-contact: “The impact of the face-to-face encounter with the child”;“The first physical contact with the child, a key moment”. Conclusion: The fathers who were prepared and involved from pregnancy and at birth attribute a special meaning to the father-child relationship which generated since the first encounter, allowing them to feel, enjoy and commit to caremily:Verdana;">.
