The literature reviewed places p. glaucum as a cereal characterized by its nutritional quality and high tolerance to drought stress. However, very little is known about the fine mechanism it uses in response to water stress. To try to clarify this point, we carried out an analysis of the modulation of the expression of regulatory genes of the FT bZIp family. A full genome screening of p. glaucum identified 52 putative FT bZIps, identifying 9 FT pgbZIp differentially expressed under water stress conditions filtered from RNA-seq data from a Transcriptome deposited at the NCBI. The promoter regions of these genes presented multiple elements or cis ABREs and DRE motifs, thus suggesting their double modulated participation in the slow or adaptive response and in the rapid response of this cereal to water stress. The findings of this study provide complementary data for the understanding of the mechanism behind the adaptation of p. glaucum under water stress, and may be relevant for molecular applications of potential crops.

Background: The Mediterranean Diet (MD) has been linked to a reduced risk of developing degenerative diseases, including atherosclerosis, heart stroke, diabetes, arthritis and cancer. However, only a few scientific investigations have attempted to validate this impression. The ingredients of the MD include significant amounts of omega (ω3, ω6, and ω9) unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs). A few studies of these UFAs in the prevention or treatment of arthritis have yielded controversial results, but a general belief regarding their beneficial effects has prevailed. Objective: To investigate the effects of three relevant UFAs, namely Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA), Arachidonic Acid (AA), and Oleic Acid (OA) (ω3, ω6, and ω9, respectively), in the development of arthritis using a murine model of Collagen-Induced Arthritis (CIA). Methods: DBA-1 mice were immunized with chicken collagen type II (CII) and were subsequently treated with ω-UFAs for 53 days. Dexamethasone (DEXA) was used as a positive anti-inflammatory agent. The effect of the treatments was evaluated through several parameters: inflammation indices, antibody levels, cell prolifera- tion, and histopathological findings. Results and Conclusion: The anti-inflammatory effect of the tested substances was inversely correlated with the histopathological findings: a greater anti- inflammatory effect was associated with less articular damage. Oleic acid (ω9) was the most efficient anti-inflammatory UFA, followed by DHA and then AA. DEXA completely inhibited the development of arthritis, whereas the untreated CII-immunized mice developed the most severe articular damage. DBA-1 mice with CII-induced arthritis constitute an adequate model for the study of arthritis and its treatment.

利用2个试验评估鸡肉粉、禽副产品、肠膜、全鸡粉豆粕复合物和常规豆粕分别喂养断奶仔猪的消化能和代谢能浓度以及氨基酸标准回肠消化率（SID）。试验1中，48头阉公猪，初始体重为（14．6±2．2）kg，被放置在代谢笼中，根据完全随机区组设计分配至6个日粮处理组，每个处理8个重复。基础对照组含有98．1％的玉米（饲喂基础），其他5组日粮分别包含玉米以及11％～16％不等的鸡肉粉、禽副产品、肠膜、全鸡粉豆粕复合物或者豆粕。以等蛋白原则配制各处理日粮。收集断奶仔猪5d的粪便和尿液。玉米、鸡肉粉、禽副产品、肠膜和全鸡粉豆粕复合物和豆粕干物质的代谢能分别为3957、3816、4586、4298、4255、4091kcal／kgn禽副产品的代谢能极显著高于玉米、鸡肉粉、全鸡粉豆粕复合物和豆粕（p〈0．01），肠膜和全鸡粉豆粕复合物的代谢能极显著高于玉米和鸡肉粉（p〈0．01），但是肠膜、全鸡粉豆粕复合物和豆粕之间无显著差异。试验2中，12头回肠中装有T型套管的阉公猪，初始体重为（12．2±1．5）kg，采用6×6拉丁方试验设计进行试验。配制无氮日粮和玉米淀粉一豆粕型基础日粮。另外4种日粮以玉米淀粉、蔗糖、豆粕为基础分别添加鸡肉粉、禽副产品、肠膜或者全鸡粉豆粕复合物。豆粕的蛋白质标准回肠消化率以及除了色氨酸、脯氨酸之外的所有氨基酸标准回肠消化率均高于其他处理日粮（p〈0．01）。全鸡粉豆粕复合物的蛋白质和必需氨基酸标准回肠消化率显著高于鸡肉粉和肠膜（p〈0．01）：此外，除了精氨酸和缬氨之外，其他必需氨基酸标准回肠消化率均高于禽副产品。然而，除了缬氨酸和赖氨酸外，其他氨基酸标准回肠消化率鸡肉粉和禽副产品间无明显差异。总之，肠膜和全鸡粉豆粕复合物的代谢能高于鸡肉粉，但与豆粕无显著差异。禽副产品较豆粕、鸡肉粉、全鸡粉豆粕复合物可提供更多的代谢能。全鸡粉豆粕复合物的大部分必需氨基酸标准回肠消化率均高于鸡肉粉、禽副产品和肠膜，但却低于豆粕。

在猪饲料中最广泛使用的动物蛋白是肉骨粉和鱼粉,它们都含有相对含量较高的氨基酸,也是可消化钙、磷的良好来源。在鱼粉和肉骨粉中,磷的消化率和产品中灰分含量是呈负相关的。家禽产业的副产物包括鸡肉粉、家禽副产物和AV-E Digest都广泛用于饲喂断奶仔猪,因为这些产品有助于提高断奶仔猪的生长性能。水解羽毛粉是另一个家禽产业的副产物,可以用于生长育肥猪的饲料。水解小肠蛋白在近年来也已经允许用于断奶仔猪饲料的氨基酸来源。血液制品,无论是通过环形干燥、滚筒干燥或喷雾干燥的,都是有价值的氨基酸和磷的来源,喷雾干燥的血液制品具有非常好的氨基酸消化率。乳制品工业的副产品包括乳清粉和低蛋白乳清粉,不像其他动物源性饲料原料一样,乳清粉和低蛋白乳清粉氨基酸含量不丰富,主要是作为乳糖的来源饲喂断奶仔猪,并且乳清粉和低蛋白乳清粉的磷都具有很高的消化率。
