Spectroscopic Multicomponent Analysis Using Multi-objective Optimization for Variable Selection

The multiple determination tasks of chemical properties are a classical problem in analytical chemistry. The major problem is concerned in to find the best subset of variables that better represents the compounds. These variables are obtained by a spectrophotometer device. This device measures hundreds of correlated variables related with physicocbemical properties and that can be used to estimate the component of interest. The problem is the selection of a subset of informative and uncorrelated variables that help the minimization of prediction error. Classical algorithms select a subset of variables for each compound considered. In this work we propose the use of the SPEA-II （strength Pareto evolutionary algorithm II）. We would like to show that the variable selection algorithm can selected just one subset used for multiple determinations using multiple linear regressions. For the case study is used wheat data obtained by NIR （near-infrared spectroscopy） spectrometry where the objective is the determination of a variable subgroup with information about E protein content （%）, test weight （Kg/HI）, WKT （wheat kernel texture）（%） and farinograph water absorption （%）. The results of traditional techniques of multivariate calibration as the SPA （successive projections algorithm）, PLS （partial least square） and mono-objective genetic algorithm are presents for comparisons. For NIR spectral analysis of protein concentration on wheat, the number of variables selected from 775 spectral variables was reduced for just 10 in the SPEA-II algorithm. The prediction error decreased from 0.2 in the classical methods to 0.09 in proposed approach, a reduction of 37%. The model using variables selected by SPEA-II had better prediction performance than classical algorithms and full-spectrum partial least-squares.

Liver resection for the treatment of post-cholecystectomy biliary stricture with vascular injury

Investigation of Galactic open cluster remnants： the case of NGC 7193

Galactic open clusters （OCs） that survive the early gas-expulsion phase are gradually de- stroyed over time by the action of disruptive dynamical processes. Their final evolutionary stages are characterized by a poorly populated concentration of stars called an open cluster remnant （OCR）. This study is devoted to assessing the real physical nature of the OCR candidate NGC 7193. GMOS/Gemini spectroscopy of 53 stars in the inner target region were obtained to derive radial velocities and at- mospheric parameters. We also employed photometric and proper motion data. The analysis method consists of the following steps：（i） analysis of the statistical resemblance between the cluster and a set of field samples with respect to the sequences defined in color-magnitude diagrams （CMDs）; （ii） a 5-dimensional iterative exclusion routine was employed to identify outliers from kinematical and posi- tional data; （iii） isochrone fitting to thes× （J - Ks） CMD of the remaining stars and the dispersion of spectral types along empirical sequences in the （J - H） × （H - Ks） diagram were checked. A group of stars was identified for which the mean heliocentric distance is compatible with that obtained via isochrone fitting and whose metallicities are compatible with each other. Fifteen of the member stars observed spectroscopically were identified together with another 19 probable members. Our results indi- cate that NGC 7193 is a genuine OCR, of a once very populous OC, for which the following parameters were derived： d = 501±46 pc, t = 2.5±1.2 Gyr, （[Fe/H]） = -0.17±0.23 and E（B-V） = 0.05±0.05. Its luminosity and mass functions show depletion of low mass stars, confirming the OCR is in a dynam- ically evolved state.

Non-Intrusive Elastic Query Processing in the Cloud

Cloud computing is a very promising paradigm of service-oriented computing. One major benefit of cloud computing is its elasticity, i.e., the system＇s capacity to provide and remove resources automatically at runtime. For that, it is essential to design and implement an efficient and effective technique that takes full advantage of the system＇s potential flexibility. This paper presents a non-intrusive approach that monitors the performance of relational database management systems in a cloud infrastructure, and automatically makes decisions to maximize the efficiency of the provider＇s environment while still satisfying agreed upon ＂service level agreements＂（SLAs）. Our experiments conducted on Amazon＇s cloud infrastructure, confirm that our technique is capable of automatically and dynamically adjusting the system＇s allocated resources observing the SLA.

Robot-assisted endoscopic inguinal lymphadenectomy:A review of current outcomes

Objective:To review the role of robot-assisted endoscopic inguinal lymphadenectomy(RAIL)in the management of penile ***:A PubMed search for all relevant publications regarding RAIL series up until August 2019 was performed using the keyword“robotic”,“inguinal lymph node dissection”,and“penile cancer”.Weighted mean was calculated in the largest series for all outcomes using the number of patients included in each study as the weighting ***:We identified 23 articles,of note the three largest series that included 102,27,and 20 RAIL in 51,14,and 10 patients,*** vein was spared in 88.93%of RAIL cases in these series and node yield was 11.42 per groin;35.28%of patients had positive pathological *** weighted mean of operative time was 87.98 min per RAIL and the estimated blood loss was 37.08 mL per *** mean length of hospital stay was 1.29 days and the drain was kept in place for 17.02 days;the major complication rate was only 5.31%in these *** mean follow-up was 33.46 months with a recurrence-free survival of 96.33%.Conclusion:The literature regarding RAIL describes promising results,although it has shorter follow-up and higher costs when compared to historically series from the open *** series reported lower cutaneous complications compared to conventional approach,without compromising oncological ***,long-term results and larger trials are crucial to validate those findings.

Automatic Stamping Charger---Stamping of Blended Coal-Theorical Study and Practice Analysis at TKCSA

The coke plant of a steel plant corresponds to the area that transforms a blend of coal into coke for using in blast furnace and steam to power plant. The coking plant of ThyssenKrupp CSA uses the heat recovery technology with stamping charger for stamping and preparation a blend of coals for charging and coking. Stamping technology adds several benefits to the process, such as increased density, homogeneity and alignment of the coal cake charged into the oven, as well as provides better control of the coking process, improves parameters of coke quality and allows coal blending with lower coking power, thereby reducing the production cost of coke and power generation. Through the automation of stamping charger, it is possible to evaluate and calculate the stamped coal density charged and the productivity gains this system provides.

Use of ANSYS for Thermal Analysis in Mass Concrete

With the increasing development of Brazil in recent years, major engineering construction works have been designed and built, partieutarly those involving large volumes of mass concrete, such as in the case of dams. Mass concrete, due to its large size and volume, presents a considerable temperature rise caused by cement grain hydration. This temperature rise can be sufficient to cause concrete crack and/or cracking, which may lead to serious problems. In this paper, we sought to study heat generation and temperature field in mass concrete through ANSYS software, which uses finite element method to analyze the problem. This program allows temperatures to be checked for different concrete ages. With that, it is possible to evaluate the temperatures obtained and the factors influencing the results in a short period of time at a low cost. With the help of the software, it is possible to check the temperatures for different concrete properties by analyzing them on different concreting days. Therefore, it was possible to establish that the properties of the concrete directly influence the temperature evolution phenomenon.

Green macroalgae,e.g.,Ulva lactuca,are valuable bioactive sources of nutrients;but algae recalcitrant cell walls,composed of a complex cross-linked matrix of polysaccharides,can compromise their utilization as feedstuffs for monogastric *** study aimed to evaluate the ability of pre-selected Carbohydrate-Active enZymes(CAZymes)and sulfatases to degrade *** cell walls and release nutritive compounds.A databank of 199 recombinant CAZymes and sulfatases was tested in vitro for their action towards *** cell wall *** enzymes were incubated with the macroalga,either alone or in combination,to release reducing sugars and decrease fluorescence intensity of Calcofluor White stained cell *** individual action of a polysaccharide lyase family 25(PL25),an ulvan lyase,was shown to be the most efficient in cell wall *** ulvan lyase treatment,in triplicate measures,promoted the release of 4.54 g/L(P0.05),proteins(P?0.861)or pigments(P>0.05)was *** results highlight the capacity of a single recombinant ulvan lyase(PL25 family)to incompletely disrupt *** cell *** enzyme could enhance the bioaccessibility of *** bioactive products with promising utilization in the feed industry.
