Preconsolidation pressure(σp)of soil can be considered as an indicator of the Load Bearing capacity(LBC),which is the tolerated surface pressure before compaction,often caused by the traffic of agricultural *** this pioneering study,a remote sensing approach was introduced to estimate LBC throughσp from soils of the“Rio Preto”Hydrographic Basin,Bahia State,Brazil,in a monthly time lapse from 2016 to ***,σp is measured by a laborious and time demanding laboratory analysis,making it unfeasible to map large *** innovative methodology of this work consists of combining active–passive satellite data on soil moisture and pedotransfer functions of clay content and water matric potential to obtain geo-located estimates ofσ*** were analysed under different classes of soil use,land cover and slope;95%confidence intervals were built for the time series of mean values of LBC for each *** overall seasonal variation in LBC estimates is similar in areas with annual crops,grasslands and natural vegetation,and flat areas are less affected by soil moisture variations over the year(between seasons).LBC decreased,in general,at about 0.5%a year in flat ***,these areas demand attention,since they occupy 86%of the Basin and are mostly subjected to agricultural soil management and surface pressure by heavy machinery.

Evolutionary fingerprint, phylogenetic and forest structure of tropical montane Atlantic cloud forests along an elevation gradient

Purpose:This meta-analytical study aimed to explore the effects of resistance training(RT) volume on body adiposity,metabolic risk,and inflammation in postmenopausal and older ***:A systematic search was performed for randomized controlled trials in PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,and *** controlled trials with postmenopausal and older females that compared RT effects on body adiposity,metabolic risk,and inflammation with a control group(CG) were *** reviewers selected the studies,extracted the data,and performed the risk of bias and certainty of the evidence(Grading of Recommendations,Assessment,Development,and Evaluation(GRADE)) *** body and abdominal adiposity,blood lipids,glucose,and C-reactive protein were included for meta-analysis.A random-effects model,standardized mean difference(Hedges’ g),and 95% confidence interval(95%CI) were used for ***:Twenty randomized controlled trials(overall risk of bias:some concerns;GRADE:low to very low) with overweight/obese postmenopausal and older females were *** groups were divided into low-volume RT(LVRT,~44 sets/week) and high-volume RT(HVRT,~77 sets/week).Both RT groups presented improved body adiposity,metabolic risk,and inflammation when compared to ***,HVRT demonstrated higher effect sizes than LVRT for glucose(HVRT=-1.19;95%CI:-1.63 to-0.74;LVRT=-0.78;95%CI:-1.15 to-0.41) and C-reactive protein(HVRT=-1.00;95%CI:-1.32 to-0.67;LVRT=-0.34;95%CI,-0.63 to-0.04)) when compared to ***:Compared to CG,HVRT protocols elicit greater improvements in metabolic risk and inflammation outcomes than LVRT in overweight/obese postmenopausal and older females.

Optimal combination of the correction model and parameters for the precision geometric correction of UAV hyperspectral images

Nowadays,with the rapid development of quantitative remote sensing represented by high-resolution UAV hyperspectral remote sensing observation technology,people have put forward higher requirements for the rapid preprocessing and geometric correction accuracy of hyperspectral *** optimal geometric correction model and parameter combination of UAV hyperspectral images need to be determined to reduce unnecessary waste of time in the preprocessing and provide high-precision data support for the application of UAV hyperspectral *** this study,the geometric correction accuracy under various geometric correction models(including affine transformation model,local triangulation model,polynomial model,direct linear transformation model,and rational function model)and resampling methods(including nearest neighbor resampling method,bilinear interpolation resampling method,and cubic convolution resampling method)were ***,the distribution,number,and accuracy of control points were analyzed based on the control variable method,and precise ground control points(GCPs)were *** results showed that the average geometric positioning error of UAV hyperspectral images(at 80 m altitude AGL)without geometric correction was as high as 3.4041 m(about 65 pixels).The optimal geometric correction model and parameter combination of the UAV hyperspectral image(at 80 m altitude AGL)used a local triangulation model,adopted a bilinear interpolation resampling method,and selected 12 edgemiddle distributed *** correction accuracy could reach 0.0493 m(less than one pixel).This study provides a reference for the geometric correction of UAV hyperspectral images.

Five Year Follow up after Surgical Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes with laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy Associated with a Duodenal Ileal Interposition

Introduction: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) is a chronic disease, primarily caused by a combination of defective insulin secretion and the inability of insulin-sensitive tissues to respond to insulin. laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy associated with duodenal ileal interposition (SGDII) has been shown to be a feasible treatment option for patients with T2D, as it provides improvement and control of glycemia, dyslipidemia and arterial hypertension. The aim of this study was to evaluate the mid and long-term results of SGDII for the treatment of diabetic patients, considering diabetic remission, weight loss and postoperative complications. Materials and Methods: Retrospective study with 96 patients with T2D submitted to SGDII, between 2010 and 2016. The glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) value Results: Sixty-one patients (62.8%) were male, and 36 patients (37.2%) were female. The average age was 50.9 years. Median BMI was 33.43 kg/m2. The incidence of major postoperative complications in the first 30 days was 2.1%, with no mortality. Dyslipidemia control was sustained, after five years, in 62% of the patients. The five years follow-up demonstrated that 80% of patients had T2D remission at one year, 74.5% at three years and 61.8% at five years. Univariate analysis demonstrated that preoperative values of HbA1c and BMI, preoperative use of insulin, gender, and 30-day complication were not predictors of remission at all study intervals. The average duration of the disease was nine years and the mean glycated hemoglobin before surgery was 8.95%. Conclusion: SGDII resulted in good glycemic control at 5-years follow-up and represents a valid alternative for the treatment of T2D.
