As an important facilitator in e-government and society in general,Open SDI merits an assessment of its characteristics and the monitoring of its *** aim of the study was the proposal of the SDI openness assessment approach based on existing openness assessment frameworks,as well as the presentation of the polish Spatial Data Infrastructure(pSDI)development towards *** results indicated that ten geodetic and cartographic databases fulfilled ten out of eleven criteria of data openness,according to the methodological assumptions,and reached a 3-star level of *** need for further development of the infrastructure towards sharing public administration data is recognized,as well as non-governmental data that meet the open data criteria,thus contributing to the openness of the *** proposed assessment method,referenced to a five-level data openness system and providing clear scoring benchmarking for assessing SDI openness,may be used for comparative analysis of SDI openness in different countries,including EU Member States that draw on the experience of the implementation of the INSpIRE Directive.

Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)are chronic inflammatory disorders of the gastrointestinal tract associated with multifactorial conditions such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s *** the underlying mechanisms of IBD remain unclear,growing evidence has shown that dysregulated immune system reactions in genetically susceptible individuals contribute to mucosal ***,conventional treatments have been effective in inducing remission of IBD but not in preventing the relapse of *** this way,mesenchymal stromal cells(MSC)therapy has been recognized as a promising treatment for IBD due to their immunomodulatory properties,ability to differentiate into several tissues,and homing to inflammatory *** so,literature is conflicted regarding the location and persistence of MSC in the body after *** this reason,recent studies have focused on the paracrine effect of the biofactors secreted by MSC,especially in relation to the immunomodulatory potential of soluble factors(cytokines,chemokines,and growth factors)and extracellular vehicles that are involved in cell communication and in the transfer of cellular material,such as proteins,lipids,and nucleic ***,treatment with interferon-γ,tumor necrosis factor-α,and interleukin-1βcauses MSC to express immunomodulatory molecules that mediate the suppression via cell-contact dependent *** together,we present an overview of the role of bioactive factors and cell membrane proteins derived from MSC as a cell-free therapy that can improve IBD treatment.

This article has the general objective of estimating the efficiency of urban solid waste management in 940 Brazilian munici-palities through Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA)technique and has specific objectives:(i)to estimate efficiency scores;(ii)to compare the performance between different groups of municipalities;and(ii)to analyze the profile of efficient munici-palities from the perspective of the guidelines of Law 12,305/2010 and socio-economic and environmental *** technique used was DEA with output-oriented and variable scale to return *** results showed higher efficiency scores in the municipalities with populations above 500,000 *** score variation ranged from 0.5(municipalities with populationspalities with more than 500,000 inhabitants).Of the sample set,only 12.34%of the municipalities were considered efficient,and when analyzing the efficient group,it was found that adherence to legislation was not a major factor in achieving efficiency.

Insectivorous palaearctic bird species associated with open habitats rely on high prey abundances,which are currently declining due to habitat loss and intensive agricultural *** European Bee-eater(Merops apiaster)is an opportunistic insectivore of open habitats,preying mainly on medium to large-sized flying *** diet composition received some attention in the past,but the current variation in diet composition of birds breeding across different habitats,and between adults and chicks remains poorly *** this study,we determine variation in bee-eaters’diet in colonies located in five common habitats at the Iberian *** also assess differences in the diet composition of chicks and adults and investigate seasonal diet selectivity of ***,we explore the variability in the size of prey provided to chicks throughout their growth *** and Coleoptera were the most important groups for bee-eaters,with adults and chicks consuming 58.8%and 64.1%of hymenopterans and 37.6%and 28.6%of coleopterans,*** proportion of Hymenoptera(42.3–55.7%)and Coleoptera(43.3–53.5%)in the diet was similar in colonies in pasture and oak habitats,but Hymenoptera dominated(83.8%and 95.7%)in meadow and mixed forest *** being a generally opportunistic predator,adult bee-eaters provide their progeny with an increasing proportion of larger insects through chick ***,they equally take Hymenoptera and Coleoptera for themselves and their chicks,even when the abundance of these insects decreases ***,these results suggest that local prey availability associated with specific habitats influences diet composition and that regional declines in certain groups may,therefore,affect insectivore species differently according to their dietary and habitat preferences.

Umbilical hernia occurs in 20% of the patients with liver cirrhosis complicated with ascites. Due to the enormous intraabdominal pressure secondary to the ascites, umbilical hernia in these patients has a tendency to enlarge rapidly and to complicate. The treatment of umbilical hernia in these patients is a surgical challenge. Ascites control is the mainstay to reduce hernia recurrence and postoperative complications, such as wound infection, evisceration, ascites drainage, and peritonitis. Intermittent paracentesis, temporary peritoneal dialysis catheter or transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt may be necessary to control ascites. Hernia repair is indicated in patients in whom medical treatment is effective in controlling ascites. patients who have a good perspective to be transplanted within 3-6 mo, herniorrhaphy should be performed during transplantation. Hernia repair with mesh is associated with lower recurrence rate, but with higher surgical site infection when compared to hernia correction with conventional fascial suture. There is no consensus on the best abdominal wall layer in which the mesh should be placed: Onlay, sublay, or underlay. Many studies have demonstrated several advantages of the laparoscopic umbilical herniorrhaphy in cirrhotic patients compared with open surgical treatment.

preclinical and clinical studies indicate that psychostimulants,in addition to having abuse potential,may elicit brain dysfunctions and/or neurotoxic *** toxicity induced by psychostimulants may pose serious health risks since the recreational use of these substances is on the rise among young people and *** present review provides an overview of recent research,conducted between 2018 and 2023,focusing on brain dysfunctions and neurotoxic effects elicited in experimental models and humans by amphetamine,cocaine,methamphetamine,3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine,methylphenidate,caffeine,and *** elucidation of factors and mechanisms that underlie psychostimulant-induced brain dysfunction and neurotoxicity is crucial for understanding the acute and enduring noxious brain effects that may occur in individuals who use psychostimulants for recreational and/or therapeutic purposes.

Experimental and Numerical Analysis of Cavity/Mean-Flow Interaction in Low pressure Axial Flow Turbines

The increasing performance of modern aeroengines led the research towards the optimization of machine components not deeply analyzed in the *** this context,the mechanisms driving the interaction process between the secondary flows evolving at the hub of low-pressure turbines with the rotor-stator cavity systems have been poorly investigated in the *** this work,an experimental and numerical analysis of the interaction between the endwall near wall flow and the leakage flow of a real cavity system is *** experimental results were carried out in the annular low-pressure axial flow turbine of the University of *** blade loading and pressure distributions into the cavity,as well as the measured total pressure loss coefficient,have been used for a proper validation of CFD *** steady and unsteady calculations were carried out through the commercial solver ***,several numerical approaches have been tested into this work:RANS,Non Linear Harmonic(NLH),and *** most promising CFD techniques have been firstly identified by comparison with experimental results and then systematically employed to extend the analysis of secondary flow-cavity flow interaction to positions and quantities not available from the *** characterizing the mean flow-cavity flow interaction process will be shown to cover a great amount of the overall stage losses and should be properly accounted for the design of future optimized cavity configurations.
