Using optical coherence tomography images to evaluate fungal growth in reline resins

As changes in hard or soft oral tissues normally have a microbiological component,it is important to develop diagnostic techniques that support clinical evaluation,without destroying microbio-logical *** optical coherence tomography(ocT)represents an alternative to analyze tissues and microorganisms without the need for *** imaging technique could be defined as a fast,real-time,in situ,and non-destructive ***,this study proposed the use of the ocT to visualize biofilm by candida albicans in reline resins for removable *** reline resins(Silagum-comfort,coe comfort,and Soft-confort),with distinct char-acteristics related to wa ter sorption and fungal inhibition were used.A total of 30 samples(10 for each resin group)were subjected to ocT scanning before and 96 h after inoculation with candida albicans(URM 6547).The biofilm analysis was carried out through a 2D optical callisto SD-ocT(930 nm)operated in the spectral ***,the images were preprocessed using a3×3 Gaussian filter to remove the noise,and then otsu binarization,allowing segmentation and pixel *** layer's biofilm formed was clearly defined and,indeed,its visualization is modified by water sorption of each ***-comfort and *** showed some similarities in the scattering of light between the clean and inoculated samples,in which,the latter samples presented higher values of light signal ***-comfort samples were the only ones that showed no di®erences between the clean or inoculated ***,the results of this study suggest that ocT is a viable technique to visualize the biolm in reline *** in the literature are still scarcely using the ocT technique to visualize biolm in reline resins,further studies are *** should not contain any references or displayed equations.

This manuscript investigates a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter embedded in a cloud of strings. The effects of its surroundings on thermodynamics, timelike and null geodesics, shadows,and quasinormal modes are analyzed. It is demonstrated that changes in spacetime, induced by the surrounding environment, significantly influence the stability, thermal phases, energy dynamics, particle trajectories, and observable features of the black hole's shadow, as well as its oscillation frequency and decay rate.

Analysis of convective-radiative heat transfer in dovetail longitudinal fins with shape-dependent hybrid nanofluids: a study using the Hermite wavelet method

A distinguished category of operational fluids, known as hybrid nanofluids,occupies a prominent role among various fluid types owing to its superior heat transfer properties. by employing a dovetail fin profile, this work investigates the thermal reaction of a dynamic fin system to a hybrid nanofluid with shape-based properties, flowing uniformly at a velocity U. The analysis focuses on four distinct types of nanoparticles,i.e., Al2o3, Ag, carbon nanotube (cNT), and graphene. Specifically, two of these particles exhibit a spherical shape, one possesses a cylindrical form, and the final type adopts a platelet morphology. The investigation delves into the pairing of these *** examination employs a combined approach to assess the constructional and thermal exchange characteristics of the hybrid nanofluid. The fin design, under the specified circumstances, gives rise to the derivation of a differential equation. The given equation is then transformed into a dimensionless form. Notably, the Hermite wavelet method is introduced for the first time to address the challenge posed by a moving fin submerged in a hybrid nanofluid with shape-dependent features. To validate the credibility of this research, the results obtained in this study are systematically compared with the numerical simulations. The examination discloses that the highest heat flux is achieved when combining nanoparticles with spherical and platelet shapes.

Evaluating Effect of Magnetic Field on Nusselt Number and Friction Factor of Fe 3 o 4 -Tio 2 /Water Nanofluids in Heat-Sink Using Artificial Intelligence Techniques

The experimental analysis takes too much time-consuming process and requires considerable effort, while, the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) algorithms are simple, affordable, and fast, and they allow us to make a relevant analysis in establishing an appropriate relationship between the input and output parameters. This paper deals with the use of back-propagation ANN algorithms for the experimental data of heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number, and friction factor of water-based Fe 3 o 4 -Tio 2 magnetic hybrid nanofluids in a mini heat sink under magnetic fields. The data considered for the ANN network is at different Reynolds numbers (239 to 1874), different volume concentrations (0% to 2.0%), and different magnetic fields (250 to 1000 G), respectively. Three types of ANN back-propagation algorithms Levenberg-Marquardt (LM), broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shanno Quasi Newton (bFGS), and Variable Learning Rate Gradient Descent (VLGD) were used to train the heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number, and friction factor data, respectively. The ANoVA t -test analysis was also performed to determine the relative accuracy of the three ANN algorithms. The Nusselt number of 2.0% vol. of Fe 3 o 4 -Tio 2 hybrid nanofluid is enhanced by 38.16% without a magnetic field, and it is further enhanced by 88.93% with the magnetic field of 1000 Gauss at a Reynolds number of 1874, with respect to the base fluid. A total of 126 datasets of heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number, and friction factor were used as input and output data. The three ANN algorithms of LM, bFGS, and VLGD, have shown good acceptance with the experimental data with root-mean-square errors of 0.34883, 0.25341, and 1.0202 with correlation coefficients (R 2 ) of 0.99954, 0.9967, and 0.94501, respectively, for the Nusselt number data. Introduction: Primary polydipsia, frequently observed in patients with schizophrenia, can cause severe hyponatremia, leading to serious complications. objective: This study reviews the management and prevalence of psychogenic polydipsia, focusing on treatments and clinical outcomes. Methods: Following the PRISMA guidelines, studies on polydipsia in psychiatric patients were included. Data were extracted from databases such as PubMed and Scopus, and a meta-analysis was performed. Results: Fifteen studies were analyzed, totaling 586 patients. The use of urea was effective in correcting hyponatremia, while antipsychotics showed mixed results. Heterogeneity between studies was moderate (I2 = 56%). conclusion: Psychogenic polydipsia is a severe condition in schizophrenic patients. The use of urea has shown promise, but further studies are needed to optimize treatments.

In this paper we introduce a method of analysis for the automated ordenng and selection or solutions of a multicriteria shortest path model. The method is based on a reference point approach, where the paths in a specific priority region are ranked by non-decreasing order of a chebyshev metric. In order to list paths according with this objective function a labelling algorithm is proposed. The developed method is applied in a video-traffic routing context. computational results are presented and analysed, for randomly generated networks of significant dimension.

on the Role of Differentiation Parameter in a bound State Solution of the Klein-Gordon Equation

Recently, the bound state solutions of a confined Klein-Gordon particle under the mixed scalar-vector generalized symmetric Woods-Saxon potential in one spatial dimension have been investigated. The obtained results reveal that in the spin symmetric limit discrete spectrum exists, while in the pseudo-spin symmetric limit it does *** this manuscript, new insights and information are given by employing an analogy of the variational principle. The role of the difference of the magnitudes of the vector and scalar potential energies, namely the differentiation parameter,on the energy spectrum is examined. It is observed that the differentiation parameter determines the measure of the energy spectrum density by modifying the confined particle's mass-energy in addition to narrowing the spectrum interval length.

Synthesis and Some Properties of Metal organic chemical Vapour Deposited Molybdenum oxysulphide Thin Films

Molybdenum oxodithiocarbamate was prepared as thin films which were deposited on sodalime glass a single solid source precursor for molybdenum oxysulphide substrates using metal organic chemical vapour deposition （MocVD） technique at a temperature of 420~c. Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy （RbS） was used to determine the elemental composition of the film which showed that the films contained large amounts of oxygen. The large amount of oxygen was attributed to the large abundance of oxygen in the starting material. A direct optical energy gap of 3.31 eV was obtained from the analysis of the absorption spectrum. The scanning electron microscopy （SEM） micrographs of the films showed that the films were continuous and porous. An estimated average size of the grains was below 5 #m. X-ray diffraction （XRD） showed that the deposited films were crystalline in nature.
