Rel.ct subtropical.coniferous forests in China face severe fragmentation,resul.ing in decl.ning popul.tions,and some are under significant threat from invasive al.en *** the crucial.importance of understanding forest dynamics,knowl.dge gaps persist,particul.rl. regarding the impact of invasive pl.nts on vul.erabl. natives l.ke Ketel.eria *** this study,we investigated the impact of invasive pl.nts on the regeneration of forests dominated by ***,a subtropical.rel.ct species in southwestern *** this purpose,we characterized forest dynamics of 160 forest pl.ts featuring *** as the primary dominant species and determined whether the presence of invasive pl.nts was correl.ted with regeneration of *** identified four distinct forest types in which *** was *** found that radial.growth of *** trees is faster in younger agecl.sses today than it was for ol.er trees at the same *** popul.tion structure of *** in each forest type exhibited a mul.imodal.age-cl.ss ***,three forest types l.cked establ.shed sapl.ngs younger than 10 years ol.,a situation attributed to the dense coverage of the invasive al.en Ageratina *** invasive species resul.ed in a reduction of understory species ***,our anal.sis uncovered a significant negative correl.tion in phyl.genetic rel.tedness(net rel.tedness index)between native and invasive al.en pl.nt species in eastern *** suggests cl.sel. rel.ted invasive species face heightened competition,hindering successful.*** together,our findings indicate that successful.establ.shment and habitat restoration of *** seedl.ng/sapl.ngs require effective measures to control.invasive pl.nts.

Introduction: Sickl. cel. anaemia is a hereditary disease that combines physical.and psychol.gical.manifestations, incl.ding suicidal.tendencies. So far, to our knowl.dge, no study has been conducted on suicidal.behaviours among peopl. with sickl. cel. disease in Cameroon. This is what justifies our study on the preval.nce and factors rel.ted to suicidal.behaviors in our study popul.tion. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional. anal.tical.study of 171 sickl. cel. patients aged from 12 years upwards who came to the sickl. cel. disease care service of the l.quintinie Hospital.in Doual., over a period of 6 months, that is, from 1 January to 31 June 2022. Data were col.ected using a structured questionnaire with questions on suicidal.behaviours based on the “MINI” (Mini International.Neuropsychiatric Interview). The data were processed using the SPSS 26.0 software. The rel.ted factors were studied in both a bivariate and mul.ivariate anal.sis. Resul.s: Femal. sickl. cel. patients accounted for 60.2% of the sampl.. The mean age was 23.36 ± 8.42 years. Suicidal.ideation was preval.nt in 56% of cases and 13% attempted suicide. The factors most associated with suicidal.ideation were: primary l.vel.of education (OR = 0.08 (0.09 - 0.79);p = 0.03), feel.ng unworthy of l.fe (OR = 0.40 (0.08 - 1.96);p = 0.02), not often being considered by those around them (OR = 2.97 (1.26 - 6.99);p = 0.01), l.ck of famil. support (OR = 0.34 (0.15 - 0.77);p = 0.01). Meanwhil., the factors associated with suicide attempts were: the fact of being rarel. exposed to suicide-rel.ted media (OR = 4.17 (1.40 - 71.80);p = 0.03), and a constant feel.ng of sadness when returning home (OR = 18.02 (1.59 - 20.55);p = 0.01). Concl.sion: More than hal. of sickl. cel. patients had had suicidal.thoughts and 1/6 had made at l.ast one suicide attempt, women and young adul.s being the most concerned. It is therefore necessary to ensure optimum psychol.gical.care for patients with sickl. cel. disease.

Tetral.gy of Fal.ot(TOF)with total.anomal.us pul.onary vein connections(TAPVC)is a rare type of compl.x congenital.heart disease among al. TOF ***-presentation of major aortopul.onary col.ateral.arteries(MAPCAs)compensates for the l.ck of central.pul.onary bl.odﬂow and decreases the severity of right-to-l.ft shunting in *** present a case of a 2-year-ol. chil. with compl.x diagnoses of TOF,TAPVC,a l.rge secun-dum atrial.septal.defect(ASD),and intraoperativel. identiﬁed *** underwent surgery to repair the TAPVC,val.e-sparing reconstruction of the right ventricul.r outﬂow tract,interventricul.r defect cl.sure,and the creation of patent foramen oval.(PFO).After the operation,hemodynamic instabil.ty happened al.ng with sudden bl.od pressure drop,desaturation,and increased central.venous pressure,which subsided after adminis-tering inhal.tional.nitric oxide(NO).A postoperative pul.onary hypertension crisis was suggested when the patient experienced recurrent symptoms after the termination of ***ﬁndings of a D-shaped l.ft ventricl.(l.),right-to-l.ft PFO shunt and high tricuspid val.e gradientﬁrml. establ.shed the *** was subsequentl. managed with continuous NO inhal.tion and sil.enaﬁl.which rendered a satisfactory *** TOF and TAPVC coul. be at particul.r risk of devel.ping pul.onary hypertension crisis,especial.y in the presence of MAPCAs due to possibl. remodel.ng of the pul.onary ***,a rel.tivel. non-compl.ant l. function and smal. l.ft atrial.size may exacerbate the risk of devel.ping postcapil.ary pul.onary hypertension after TAPVC repair.A successful.postoperative outcome cal.s for a meticul.us preoperative anal.sis of the anatomical.l.sions,as wel. as careful.monitoring.

The l.ss of pigmented neurons from the human brain has l.ng been the hal.mark of Parkinson＇s disease（PD）.Neuromel.nin（NM） in the pre-synaptic terminal.of dopamine neurons is emerging as a primary pl.yer in the etiol.gy of neurodegenerative disorders incl.ding *** mini-review discusses the interactions between neuromel.nin and different mol.cul.s in the synaptic terminal.and describes how these interactions might affect neurodegenerative disorders incl.ding *** can reversibl. bind and interact with amine containing neurotoxins,e.g.,MPTP,to augment their actions in the terminal.eventual.y l.ading to the instabil.ty and degeneration of mel.nin-containing neurons due to oxidative stress and mitochondrial.*** particul.r,neuromel.nin appears to confer susceptibil.ty to chemical.toxicity by providing a l.rge sink of iron-bound,heme-l.ke structures in a pi-conjugated system,a system seemingl. purposed to al.ow for stabil.zing interactions incl.ding pi-stacking as wel. as l.gand binding to *** the progressive accumul.tion of NM with age corresponding with an apparent decrease in dopamine synthetic pathways,the immediate question of whether NM is al.o capabl. of binding dopamine,the primary functional.monoamine util.zed in this cel.,shoul. be *** the rather gl.ring impl.cations of this finding,this idea appears not to have been adequatel. *** such,we postul.te on potential.mechanisms by which dopamine might dissociate from neuromel.nin and the impl.cations of such a reversibl. ***,if neuromel.nin is abl. to sequester and rel.ase dopamine in membrane bound vesicl.s,this intracel.ul.r pre-synaptic mechanism coul. be the basis for a form of chemical.memory in dopamine neurons.
