The occurrence characteristics of shale oil are of great significance to the movability of shale *** this study,the occurrence characteristics of oil in the shale matrix at Funing Formation shale in Subei Basin were quantitatively evaluated by organic geochemistry and microscopic pore structure characterization *** Multiple Isothermal Stages Pyrolysis(MIS)experiment results show that the content of total oil,adsorbed oil,and free oil in the shales are 3.15-11.25 mg/g,1.41-4.95 mg/g,and 1.74-6.51 mg/g,*** which the silicon-rich shale has the best *** relative content of free oil shows an increasing trend in pores with pore diameters greater than 3 *** the relative content of free oil reaches 100%,the pore size of silicon-rich shale is about 200 nm,while that of calcium-rich shale,clay-rich shale,and siliceous mixed shale is about 10 *** occurrence law of adsorbed oil is opposite to that of free oil,which indicates that shale oil will occur in the pores and fractures in a free state in a more extensive pore size range(>200 nm).This study also enables us to further understand the occurrence characteristics of shale oil under the interaction of occurrence state and occurrence space.

Advanced rare earth tantalate RETaO4（RE=Dy,Gd and Sm） with excellent oxygen/thermal barrier performance

Thermal barrier coatings（TBCs） materials with lowered the rmal and oxygen ion conductivity can provide thermal and oxidative protection for high te mperature hot-end components in aero nautical engines and gas turbines,The rare-earth tantalate RETaO4（RE=Dy,Gd and Sm） ceramics with monoclinic（m） phase were successfully synthesized via spark plasma *** vacancies responsible for the thermal and oxygen ion conductivities of RETaO4were demonstrated by atomic-resolution energy dispersive Xray and X-ray photoelectron *** the three samples,DyTaO4has excellent oxygen/thermal barrier *** to the current service thermal barrier coating material ZrO2-8 wt% Y2O3（8 YSZ）,DyTaO4has an ultra-low oxygen ion conductivity benefiting from low oxygen vacancy concentration and strong stretching force *** intrinsic thermal conductivity of DyTaO4is 68.2% less than that of 8 ***,the thermal expansion rate curves indicate that the phase transformation does not happen from room te mperature to 1200℃.The above results demonstrate that high-growth rate the rmally grown oxide can be retarded by creating dense DyTaO4coating with lowered thermal and oxygen ion conductivity.

Rubbers or elastomers play an important role in hi-tech technology and civilian daily life because of their unique and strategical ***,the rubber additives are essential components for rubbers’practical ***,developing novel multifunctional additives has attracted increasing research *** this work,low-cost crude carbon dots(CCDs)were used as multifunctional additives for natural rubber/silica system(without any additional modification)through industrial compatible melt-mixing *** results revealed that the CCDs could disperse well in the NR/silica system,and they could not only endow the rubber compound with excellent anti-aging capability due to CCDs’radical scavenging activity because of their plenty of nitrogen-containing species,but also improve the curing rate and mechanical performance of the rubber ***,the CCDs could reduce the rolling resistance of the rubber composites(tanδvalue at 7%strain of the rubber composite could be decreased by 34%),which is promising for the application of energy-saving tire ***,the addition of CCDs could effectively reduce the ZnO dosage by at least 40%in the rubber composite without deteriorating its ***,this work provides valuable guidance to develop novel cheap yet effective additives for the elastomer.

The paper develops a multiple matching attenuation method based on extended filtering in the curvelet domain,which combines the traditional Wiener filtering method with the matching attenuation method in curvelet ***,the method uses the predicted multiple data to generate the Hilbert transform records,time derivative records and time derivative records of Hilbert ***,the above records are transformed into the curvelet domain and multiple matching attenuation based on least squares extended filtering is ***,the attenuation results are transformed back into the time-space *** on the model data and field data show that the method proposed in the paper effectively suppress the multiples while preserving the primaries ***,it has higher accuracy in eliminating multiple reflections,which is more suitable for the multiple attenuation tasks in the areas with complex structures compared to the time-space domain extended filtering method and the conventional curvelet transform method.

Neuropeptides are crucial in regulation of a rich variety of developmental,physiological,and behavioral functions throughout the life cycle of *** an integrated approach of multiomics,we identified neuropeptide precursors in the greater wax moth Galleria mellonella,which is a harmful pest of honeybee hives with a worldwide ***,a total of 63 and 67 neuropeptide precursors were predicted and annotated in the *** genome and transcriptome,in which 40 neuropeptide precursors were confirmed in the *** ***,we identified 12 neuropeptide precursor genes present in *** but absent in honeybees,which may be potential novel pesticide target *** hives were contaminated with heavy metals such as lead,enabling its bioaccumulation in *** bodies through the food chain,we performed transcriptome sequencing to analyze the effects of Pb stress on the mRNA expression level of *** neuropeptide *** treatment by Pb,the expression of neuropeptide F1 was found to be significantly downregulated,implying that this neuropeptide might be associated with responding to the heavy metal stress in *** study comprehensively identified neuropeptide precursors in ***,and discussed the effects of heavy metals on insect neuropeptides,with the example of *** results are valuable for future elucidation of how neuropeptides regulate physiological functions in *** and contribute to our understanding of the insect's environmental plasticity and identify potential new biomarkers to assess heavy metal toxicity in insects.

Growth hormone promotes the reconstruction of injured axons in the hypothalamo-neurohypophyseal system

Previous studies have shown that growth hormone can regulate hypothalamic energy metabolism, stress, and hormone release. Therefore, growth hormone has great potential for treating hypothalamic injury. In this study, we established a specific hypothalamic axon injury model by inducing hypothalamic pituitary stalk electric lesions in male mice. We then treated mice by intraperitoneal administration of growth hormone. Our results showed that growth hormone increased the expression of insulin-like growth factor 1 and its receptors, and promoted the survival of hypothalamic neurons, axonal regeneration, and vascular reconstruction from the median eminence through the posterior pituitary. Altogether, this alleviated hypothalamic injury-caused central diabetes insipidus and anxiety. These results suggest that growth hormone can promote axonal reconstruction after hypothalamic injury by regulating the growth hormone-insulin-like growth factor 1 axis.

Clinical effect of operative vs nonoperative treatment on humeral shaft fractures:Systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical trials

BACKGROUND Whether operation is superior to non-operation for humeral shaft fracture remains *** hypothesized that operation could decrease the nonunion and reintervention rates and increase the functional *** To compare the clinical efficacy between operative and nonoperative approaches for humeral shaft *** We searched the PubMed,Web of Science,ScienceDirect,and Cochrane databases from 1990 to December 2023 for clinical trials and cohort studies comparing the effects of operative and conservative methods on humeral shaft *** investigators independently extracted data from the eligible studies,and the other two assessed the methodological quality of each *** quality of the included studies was assessed using the Cochrane risk bias or Newcastle-Ottawa *** nonunion,reintervention and the overall complications and functional scores were pooled and analyzed using Review Manager software(version 5.3).RESULTS A total of four randomized control trials and 13 cohort studies were included,with 1285 and 1346 patients in the operative and nonoperative groups,*** in the operative group were treated with a plate or nail,whereas those in the conservative group were managed with splint or functional *** studies were assessed as having a high risk of bias,and the other 13 were of a low risk of bias according to the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale or Cochrane risk bias *** operative group had a significantly decreased rate of nonunion[odds ratio(OR)0.30;95%ci:0.23 to 0.40,reintervention(OR:0.33;95%ci:0.24 to 0.47),and overall complications(OR:0.62;95%ci:0.49 to 0.78)].The pooled effect of the Disabilities of Arm,Shoulder,and Hand score showed a significant difference at 3[mean difference(MD)-8.26;95%ci:-13.60 to-2.92],6(MD:-6.72;95%ci:-11.34 to-2.10),and 12 months(MD:-2.55;95%ci:-4.36 to-0.74).The pooled effect of Visual Analog Scale scores and the Constant-Murley score did not significantly differ between

In the domain of acidic water splitting,designing bifunctional catalysts that marry high activity with enduring stability is a formidable ***,we have constructed platinum-containing ruthenium oxide nanoparticles(Pt@RuO_(x)NPs)to achieve excellent overall water splitting performance in acidic ***@RuO_(x)NPs demonstrate exceptional catalytic activity for both the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in acidic seawater,requiring overpotentials of only 20 and 157 mV,respectively to achieve a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2).Furthermore,in 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4),this catalyst exhibits high HER(19 mV)and OER(236 mV)catalytic *** two-electrode water splitting system composed of bifunctional Pt@RuO_(x)NPs requires cell voltages of only 1.442 and 1.465 V to deliver a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)in acidic seawater and 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4).Remarkably,this catalyst displays remarkable stability in the water splitting *** is shown that the introduction of Pt could augment oxygen vacancies and enhance catalytic activity *** synergy between Pt and Ru further contributes to the improved ***,we have observed that acidic seawater holds distinct advantages for acidic water splitting,along with a thorough exploration of the relationship between Cl^(-)concentration and catalytic *** study not only provides a strategy to improve the catalytic activity and stability of ruthenium-based catalysts for water splitting in acidic environments,but also unveils the promoting effect of Cl^(-)on the catalytic activity in acidic water splitting.
