Evaluating the quantum confinement effects modulating exciton and electronic band structures of two-dimensional layered MoSSe films and their photodetection potentials

Emerging two-dimensional ternary transition metal dichalcogenide alloys have attracted much attention for their unique optical and optoelectronic properties,making them ideal candidates for optoelectronic ***,a comprehensive understanding of their quantum confinement effects and photoelectronic response characteristics remains crucial for device optimization and performance *** this study,we employed various spectroscopic techniques to investigate the optical properties and electronic band structures of molybdenum sulfide selenide(MoSSe)films with different layer numbers(4–11 layers).Our results revealed the splitting of Raman modes and shifting of phonon vibrational frequencies with increasing thickness,suggesting that MoSSe has strong interactions within the *** A1g and E2g 1 modes were mainly shifted by internal strain and dielectric screening effect versus thickness,*** redshift phenomenon of A and B excitons with increasing thickness was attributed to the leading effect of quantum confinement on exciton properties and optical band *** observed a strong decrease in the direct bandgap spectral weight in photoluminescence(PL)when the layer number increased from 4 to *** addition,we have fabricated MoSSe photodetectors that exhibit a broadband response in the visible wavelength band of 350–800 ***,the observed enhancement in photocurrent and responsivity with increasing film thickness underscored the potential of MoSSebased devices for practical optoelectronic *** research contributes to advancing our fundamental understanding of MoSSe materials and paves the way for the design and development of high-performance optoelectronic devices.

Monitoring and engineering interface coupling between monolayer WS_(2)and substrate through controllably introducing interfacial strain

The interface properties in two-dimensional(2D)layered materials and their van der Waals(vdW)homo-/heterostructures are of importance in both uncovering novel physical phenomena and optimizing device *** considerable research interest and enthusiasm direct toward the interlayer coupling in 2D homo-and heterostructures,there is limited research on the coupling at the 2D layered material-substrate *** limitation is due to the challenges in achieving direct ***,the coupling mechanisms at the 2D layered material-substrate interface is ambiguous,which needs greater *** this study,we have systematically investigated the interface coupling between monolayer WS_(2)and its supported substrates using high-temperature and high-vacuum in-situ Raman spectroscopy through monitoring the low-frequency Raman mode of monolayer WS_(2).Our findings reveal that both interfacial spacing and strain can significantly affect the coupling strength between the monolayer WS_(2)and the supported *** notably,we found that the strategic introduction of appropriate interfacial strain can effectively enhance the interface ***,we have succeeded in achieving effective regulation of the sample-substrate coupling via a convenient way of controlling the cooling process during *** findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the coupling correlation between 2D layered materials and substrates,which is of great significance for the design and optimization of high-performance devices based on 2D layered semiconductors.

The operational frequency range of RF system at HIRFL-CSRe (cooling storage experimental ring) is 0.5-2 MHz, and it works in fundamental and second harmonic. It includes five sections: ferrite ring loaded RF cavity, RF generator, low-level system, computer system and cavity cooling. The cavity is based on the coaxial resonator type which is short at the terminal with one gap and loaded with domestic ferrite rings. The RF generator is designed in a push-pull mode. The low-level control system is based on PID, DSP, FPGA and DDS9854+USB interface and has three feedback loops. This RF system is designed independently and manufactured domestically. For the first time, it realized the pulse modulation, variable harmonic and CW operational modes. The maximum output power is up to 70 kW and the 10 kV RF voltage is used to capture the irradiative beam and decelerate the beam from 400 to 30 MeV/u.

Stochastic gradient descent(SGD),a widely used algorithm in deep-learning neural networks,has attracted continuing research interests for the theoretical principles behind its success.A recent work reported an anomaly(inverse)relation between the variance of neural weights and the landscape flatness of the loss function driven under SGD[Feng Y and Tu Y *** 118 e2015617118(2021)].To investigate this seeming violation of statistical physics principle,the properties of SGD near fixed points are analyzed with a dynamic decomposition *** approach recovers the true“energy”function under which the universal Boltzmann distribution *** differs from the cost function in general and resolves the paradox raised by the the *** study bridges the gap between the classical statistical mechanics and the emerging discipline of artificial intelligence,with potential for better algorithms to the latter.

Formaldehyde is an important carcinogen commonly found *** indoor sources have been intensively *** study on outdoor formaldehyde concentration,which is potentially an important source to indoors,remains *** study attempts to characterize temporal and spatial distribution of the atmospheric formalde-hyde concentration in Chinese *** variation of ambient formaldehyde was examined in 6 cities and peak hours were identified between 12:00 pm and 3:00 ***,outdoor formaldehyde concentrations were measured in the peak hours in 30 cities during the summer months of Jul.-Aug.,*** formaldehyde concentrations in the peak hours fell into a range of 0.005-0.087 mg/m^(3)(median value is 0.027 mg/m^(3)),87.7%of which have exceeded the chronic reference exposure criteria of 0.009 mg/m^(3) set by Office of Environmental Health Hazard *** risk analysis suggests that exposure to ambient formaldehyde could cause a median carcinogenic risk of 1.9×10^(−5)(3.17×10^(−6)-6.13×10^(−5)),higher than threshold limit of 10−*** correlation analysis of the 30 cities shows that ambient summertime atmospheric formaldehyde concentrations of the city are positively correlated with its Gross Domestic Product(r=0.48).We also found that the outdoor formaldehyde concentrations in urban areas(median:0.017 mg/m^(3))is slightly higher than those in suburban areas(median:0.013 mg/m^(3)).Results here prove that outdoor formaldehyde is ubiquitous in Chinese cities and reduces effectiveness of ventilation in dilution indoor *** it would underestimate air cleaner capacity needed by a factor of about *** should be accounted for in health analysis and air quality engineering control design of built environment in the future.

在信息技术高速发展的时代背景下,信息基础设施建设的战略重要性日益凸显,其经济效应随之成为亟待考察的重要问题。文章利用国家智慧城市建设这一自然实验,从企业边界这一制度经济学关注的核心话题切入,考察了信息基础设施建设对企业专业化分工的影响。研究结果表明,智慧城市建设所带来的信息基础设施建设水平提升显著推动了企业专业化分工。机制分析发现,上述推动作用主要通过智慧城市建设降低外部交易成本来实现。异质性分析表明,当企业内部管控成本较高时,智慧城市建设对企业专业化分工水平的推动作用有所减弱。最后,智慧城市建设通过推动企业专业化分工能够进一步提高企业全要素生产率。文章丰富了信息基础设施建设的经济效应研究,为评估智慧城市建设的实施效果提供了参照,也为进一步推进信息化发展战略提供了政策启示。
