Piezo1-targeted aerosol inhalation nanoparticles for acute lung injury

Inhaled drug-containing nanocarriers have been well applied as an important strategy in pulmonary dis-eases.Acute lung injury(ALI)is characterized by abnormal lung tension and complex pathogenesis,with high mortality because of the limitations of targeted intervention.Accordingly,in the present study,we first identified that the mechanosensitive ion channel Piezo1 participated in the ALI-associated processes induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS)in vitro and in vivo.Then,chitosan-stabilized bovine serum albu-min nanoparticles(NCs)emulsified with the Piezo1 inhibitor GsMTx4(NC-GsMTx4)were generated and exhibited excellent biocompatibility and biological function.Through aerosol inhalation,NC-GsMTx4 im-proved lung injury and inhibited cell apoptosis in LPS-stressed ALI mice and alleviated pulmonary fibrosis during the later stage of ALI.Mechanistically,GsMTx4 could regulate inflammation and apoptosis in lung epithelial cells via NF-κB and ERK1/2 signaling.In summary,our findings provide new insights into the pathological mechanisms of Piezo1 in ALI progression,and nebulized inhalation of NC-GsMTx4 offers a prospective platform for targeting Piezo1 to treat ALI efficiently and conveniently.

Economic evaluation of reverse osmosis desalination system coupled with tidal energy

A reverse osmosis （RO） desalination system coupled with tidal energy is proposed. The mechanical energy produced by the tidal energy through hydraulic turbine is directly used to drive the RO unit. The system performances and the water cost of the conventional and tidal energy RO systems are compared. It is found that the proposed tidal energy RO system can save water cost in the range of 31.0%-41.7% in comparison with the conventional RO system. There is an optimum feed pressure that leads to the lowest water cost. The tidal RO system can save more costs at a high feed pressure or a high water recovery rate. The optimum feed pressure of the tidal energy RO system is higher than that of the conventional RO system. The longer lifetime of the tidal energy RO system can save even more water cost. When the site development cost rate is lower than 40%, the water cost of the tidal energy RO system will be lower than that of the conventional RO system. The proposed technology will be an effective alternative desalination method in the future.

The Clinical Value of Artery Umbilical Cord Blood Gas in Predicting Neonate Condition:A Prospective Cohort Study

Objective:To evaluate the predictive ability of neonate condition through the traditional parameters and artery umbilical cord blood gas(aUCBG).Methods:A prospective cohort study was conducted in obstetrics and gynecology department between October 2017 and August 2018 at Tongji Hospital in Wuhan,China,and 360 aUCBG samples were collected.The average age of pregnant women was(29.50±4.42)years,range from 19 to 48 years old.The gestational age range from 28+4 weeks to 41+3 weeks at admission.Logistic regression and area under the curve(AUC)from Receiver operating characteristic curves were used to identify risk factors,such as,premature rupture of membranes(PROM),high blood pressure,premature delivery(PD),low 1-minute Apgar scores(Apgar 1),low 5-minute Apgar scores(Apgar 5),pH,base excess,bicarbonate,neonatal blood sugar(NBS),and so on,to predict neonatal condition and evaluate the predictive ability of traditional and aUCBG parameters.Results:In all cases,PROM,PD,Apgar 1,Apgar 5,pH,base excess,bicarbonate,total carbon dioxide,and neonatal blood sugar were risk factors and were associated with poor condition of neonate.Apgar 1 were an independent risk factor.Combined traditional and aUCBG parameters had higher AUC of 0.895(95%confidence interval(C/):0.830-0.960,P<0.001).In cesarean section subgroup,high blood pressure,PD,and Apgar 1 were risk factors and were associated with poor condition of neonate.Apgar 1 and low pH were the independent risk factors.Combined traditional and aUCBG parameters had highest AUC of 0.940(95%C/:0.886-0.993,P<0.001).In vaginal delivery subgroup,maternal age above 35 years,PROM,PD,Apgar 1,Apgar 5,and male newborn were risk factors and were associated with poor condition of neonate.Maternal age above 35 years was an independent risk factor.Combined traditional and aUCBG parameters had highest AUC of 0.897(95%Cl:0.828-0.965,P<0.001).For pregnant women without comorbidities and complications of pregnancy,aUCBG may not be necessat7.Conclusion:In high-risk pregnancies,especially lower Apgar s

Variations in net primary productivity and its relationships with warming climate in the permafrost zone of the Tibetan Plateau

Permafrost degradation triggered by a warming climate induces significant changes in soil conditions, and further contributes to apparent impacts on vegetation. However, much less is known regarding the difference in net primary productivity（NPP） and the relationships between NPP and warming temperature among different vegetation types and various types of permafrost zone on the Tibetan Plateau. Consequently, remotely sensed land surface temperature（LST） and NPP from the MODIS platform were used to investigate the response of vegetation NPP to warming climate, and the correlations were scaled up for the study region. Our results indicated a notable increase of NPP from west to east, and significantly increased annual NPP along with the increased LST from 2000 to 2010 in the permafrost zone of the Tibetan Plateau. Meanwhile, the increased NPP for various vegetation types and in different types of permafrost zone with relation to warming temperature was revealed. NPP in the continuous permafrost zone had the greatest sensitivity to the changing LST, and forest NPP presented the most obvious response. Positive correlations between NPP and LST at various scales indicated the enhanced effects of warming LST on vegetation carbon sequestration in the permafrost zone of the Tibetan Plateau. In view of the notable response of NPP to warming temperature on this plateau, remote sensing needs to be further employed to reveal the status of permafrost degradation and its related effects on vegetation.

为解决山地丘陵地区苜蓿收获出现的割茬高度不一致等问题,依据苜蓿初花期收获农艺技术要求,设计一种集分草、仿形、割茬调节等功能于一身的多功能挡草板。借助SolidWorks中的Simulation模块对多功能挡草板进行静力学分析,分析结果表明,整个模型应力最大值为159.6 MPa,低于选用材料Q235的屈服强度235 MPa;整个模型最大的变形量1.183 mm,变形部位主要是分草板主板的前端。利用ADAMS软件,模拟仿真多功能挡草板在正弦起伏路面的运动情况,结果表明,多功能挡草板具有良好的仿形功能,能够保证割茬高度一致。

Development of low-cost and efficient photocatalytic materials with visible-light response is of urgent need for solving energy and environmental problems.Here,a metal-free two-dimensional(2D)π-conjugated hybrid g-C_(3)N_(4)photocatalyst with tunable band structure was prepared by a novel one-pot bottom-up method based on a supersaturated precipitation process of urea and triethanolamine(TEOA)solution.The microstructure of the hybrid g-C_(3)N_(4)is revealed to be a compound of periodic tri-s-triazine units grafted with N-doped graphene(GR)fragments.From experimental evidence and theoretical calculations,the two differentπ-conjugated fragments in the hybrid g-C_(3)N_(4)material are proved to construct a 2D in-plane junction structure,thereby expanding the light absorption range and accelerating the interface charge transfer.Theπ-conjugated electron coupling in the 2D photocatalyst eliminates the grain boundary effect,and the coupled highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)effectively promotes the separation of photo-induced charge carriers.Compared with the g-C_(3)N_(4)prepared by the conventional method,the visible-light H2 production activity of the optimized sample is enhanced by 253%.This work provides a new strategy of constructing metal-free g-C_(3)N_(4)hybrids for efficient photocatalytic water splitting.

OBJECTIVE:To assess skin temperature response to menstruation at acupuncture points in primary dysmenorrhea(PD) patients and healthy volunteers so as to explore acupuncture point specificity in reflecting diseases in the light of skin temperature.METHODS:Fifty-two PD patients and 49 healthy volunteers were recruited.Skin temperature measurements were performed with a skin temperature assessment device at 10 points.Absolute difference between skin temperature of the same point on the left and right side is used as main outcome measure.RESULTS:On the first day of menstruation, when menstrual pain attacking in PD patients, a significant increase in skin temperature difference was detected at Taixi(KI 3) compared with the healthy group(P 0.05).CONCLUSION:The skin temperature difference at menstruation-relevant points in PD patients did not all change significantly more than those in women without PD.Significant difference was only found in Taixi(KI 3), the Yuan-source point of Kidney meridian.

背景:人参皂苷Rg1可以减轻心肌梗死小鼠的心肌细胞凋亡与炎症反应,改善小鼠心功能,但以往研究多是腹腔注射给药,将人参皂苷Rg1包裹于纳米粒中应用于心肌梗死的相关研究较少。目的:将人参皂苷Rg1包裹于纳米粒,观察其局部注射治疗大鼠心肌梗死的效果。方法:采用双乳液法制备人参皂苷Rg1纳米粒,检测纳米粒的粒径、形态及电位、包封率与载药量以及体外药物缓释作用。选取64只雄性SD大鼠,利用随机数字表将大鼠分成4组,每组16只:假手术组仅开胸,不结扎冠状动脉左前降支;模型组结扎冠状动脉左前降支复制心肌梗死模型;药物组复制心肌梗死模型后,梗死周围区注射人参皂苷Rg1溶液;纳米粒组复制心肌梗死模型后,梗死周围区注射人参皂苷Rg1纳米粒混悬液。造模28 d后分别进行超声心动图、心肌组织学及RT-qPCR检测。结果与结论:①人参皂苷Rg1纳米粒的平均粒径为(231.28±3.66)nm,Zeta电位(-24.31±3.65)mV,透射电镜下可见该纳米粒呈圆球形,粒径在198 nm左右,纳米粒分散均匀,无团聚,纳米粒的包封率为(69.82±3.21)%,载药量为(6.05±0.02)%,该纳米粒可持续释放人参皂苷Rg1达30 d以上;②超声心动图检测显示,与假手术组相比,模型组左心室功能与结构异常;与模型组比较,药物组、纳米粒组左心室功能与结构均有明显改善,其中以纳米粒组改善更明显;③苏木精-伊红与Masson染色显示,模型组大鼠心肌组织纤维排列松散且不规则,间质水肿并伴有明显充血与炎性细胞浸润,缺血中心及周围可见大量胶原沉积;药物组、纳米粒组大鼠心肌组织纤维排列略松散,排列较模型组规则,间质较少见水肿与炎性细胞浸润,缺血中心及周围胶原沉积明显减少,其中以纳米粒组病理改善更明显;④RT-qPCR检测显示,与模型组比较,药物组、纳米粒组梗死区低氧诱导因子1α、血管性血友病因子、血管内皮生长因子A、血管生成素1、缝隙连接蛋白43、钙黏蛋白的mRNA表达量升高(P<0.05),肿瘤坏死因子α、白细胞介素1β、干扰素γ的mRNA表达量降低(P<0.05),其中以纳米粒组改善更明显;⑤人参皂苷Rg1纳米粒局部给药可抑制梗死心肌组织的炎症反应及心室重塑,改善心功能,促进心肌组织的修复,该作用可能通过提升成血管相关基因与心肌功能蛋白的表达、抑制炎症因子的基因表达有关。

分析有限Morrey空间内离散时滞系统周期解唯一性问题,为该类离散时滞系统控制的稳定性和收敛性提供理论基础。采用微分方程求解和Lyapunove泛函方法进行系统模型构建和特征解求取,构建五次波动微分方程,结合Lyapunov泛函进行有限Morrey空间内离散时滞系统的稳定性分析,在能量超临界情况下,构建有限Morrey空间内一类离散时滞系统的Terminal滑模面,得到在有限时间域内系统具有稳定周期解唯一性条件,进行了周期解的存在性、唯一性和渐进收敛性的判决分析和推导证明,为时滞控制提供理论基础。
