In this paper, the definition of approximate XFDs based on value equality is proposed. Two metrics, sup port and strength, are presented for measuring the degree of approximate XFD. A basic algorithm is designed for extracting minimal set of approximate XFDs, and then two optimized strategies are proposed to improve the performance. Finally, the experimental results show that the optimized algorithms are correct and effective.

High Expression of ERCC1 Is a Poor Prognostic Factor in Chinese Patients with Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Receiving Cisplatin-based Therapy

Objective： to determine the role of excision repair cross-complementing group 1 gene （ERCC1） and ribonucleotide reductase subunit M1 （RRM1） expression in predicting response and survival in Chinese patients with advanced stage non-small cell lung cancer （NSCLC） treated with platinum-based chemotherapy. Methods： Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded biopsy tissues were retrospectively obtained from 160 advanced NSCLC patients. mRNA expression levels of ERCC1 and RRM1 were determined by real-time PCR. Results： Associations between mRNA expression level of ERCC1 and RRM1 and clinic-pathologic parameters were analyzed. One handred and forty two （88.75%） specimens were successfully amplified. mRNA expression level of ERCC1 and RRM1 was negatively associated with tumor response. ERCC1 expression levels ranged from 0.01 to 78.79 [median 0.63, mean 4.25 and standard deviation （SD） 9.23] and RRM1 from 0.00 to 30.91 （median 0.63, mean 0.87 and SD 3.36）. By adopting cut-off values according to median expression levels, we found that MST in patients with low ERCC1 mRNA levels was significantly longer in overall population than in patients with higher levels （18.63 versus 13.69 months, log-rank 5.73, P=0.017）, but we did not found the survival benefit of the patients with low expression level of RRM1. （19.07 versus 14.88, log-rank 1.66, P=0.197）. Further, in the multivariable Cox regression model analysis we found that low level of ERCC1 expression, the presence of weight loss and target therapy, were significant prognostic factors for survival. Conclusion： ERCC1 expression is associated with patients’ survival in Chinese advanced NSCLC patients treated with platinum-based regimen and may serve as a biomarker in predicting tumor response and clinical outcome in the patient population.

As a disease commonly encountered in daily practice, acute appendicitis is usually diagnosed and managed easily with a low mortality and morbidity rate. However, acute appendicitis may occasionally become extraordinarily complicated and life threatening. A 56-year-old man, healthy prior to this admission, was brought to the hospital due to spiking high fever, poor appetite, dysuria, progressive right flank and painful swelling of the thigh for 3 d. Significant inflammatory change of soft tissue was noted, involving the entire right trunk from the subcostal margin to the knee joint. Painful disability of the right lower extremity and apparent signs of peritonitis at the right lower abdomen were disclosed. Laboratory results revealed leukocytosis and an elevated C-reactive protein level. Abdominal CT revealed several communicated gas-containing abscesses at the right retroperitoneal region with mass effect, pushing the duodenum and the pancreatic head upward, compressing and encasing inferior vena cava, destroying psoas muscle and dissecting downward into the right thigh. Laparotomy and right thigh exploration were performed immediately and about 500 mL of frank pus was drained. A ruptured retrocecal appendix was the cause of the abscess. The patient fully recovered at the end of the third post-operation week. This case reminds us that acute appendicitis should be treated carefully on an emergency basis to avoid serious complications. CT scan is the diagnostic tool of choice, with rapid evaluation followed by adequate drainage as the key to the survival of the patient.

BACKGROUND Cholecystoenteric fistula(CEF)involves the formation of a spontaneous ano-malous tract between the gallbladder and the adjacent gastrointestinal *** gallbladder inflammation can lead to tissue necrosis,perforation,and *** most prevalent cause of CEF is chronic cholelithiasis,which rarely results from *** the symptoms and laboratory findings associated with CEF are nonspecific,the condition is often misdiagnosed,pre-senting a challenge to the surgeon when detected ***,a preoperative diagnosis of CEF is *** present the case of a 57-year-old male with advanced gallbladder cancer(GBC)who arrived at the emergency room with persistent vomiting,abdominal pain,and *** abdominopelvic computed tomography scan revealed a contracted gallbladder with bubbles in the fundus connected to the second por-tion of the duodenum and transverse *** suspected that GBC had invaded the adjacent gastrointestinal tract through a cholecystoduodenal fistula(CDF)or a cholecystocolonic fistula(CCF).He underwent multiple examinations,including esophagogastroduodenoscopy,an upper gastrointestinal series,colo-noscopy,and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography;the results of these tests con-firmed a diagnosis of synchronous CDF and *** patient underwent a Roux-en-Y gastrojejunostomy and loop ileostomy to address the severe adhesions that were previously observed to cover the second portion of the duodenum and hepatic flexure of the *** symptoms improved with supportive treatment while *** initiated oral targeted therapy with lenvatinib for further anticancer *** The combination of imaging and surgery can enhance preoperative diagnosis and alleviate symptoms in patients with GBC complicated by CEF.

Objective:To investigate the influence of edaravone on the expression of growth arrest and DNA damage-inducible protein 34(GADD34).Methods:A total of 108 healthy male Sprague-Dawlcy rats were randomly divided into sham operation group,model group and ***(36 cases for each group).Transient focal cerebral ischemia was induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion for 2 h followed by reperfusion in Sprague-Dawlev ***34 expression was measured with immunohistochemistry at different time-points after reperfusion in the peri-infarct regions of all ***:The GADD34 expression was detected in the peri-infaret regions of rats 1 h after reperfusion,which reached its peak 24 h after *** edaravone could significantly down-regulate the GAOD34 ***:Edaravon could down-regulate GADD34 expression,which suggests that edaravone may exert an important function in inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress reaction by scavenging free radicals in the upper stream.

The effects of soil aeration on physiological characters and root tuber yield of Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam. CV Lushu7 and Xushu18 were studied. The results showed that soil aeration improvement could increase ATP content and ATPase activity in functional leaves and root tubers and ABA content in root tubers. It also accelerated the transportation of 14C-photosynthate from leaves to root tubers and enhanced dry matter distribution in root tubers and thus root tuber yield was significantly raised. The role of ATP, ATPase and ABA in accelerating the transportation of 14C-photosynthate was discussed based on the changes of soluble carbonhydrate content in sweet potato plant.

The resonator—gyro is a new type of gyro without spinning—wheel and bearing. Itssensing component is an axisymmetric shell resonator, and the cylindrical shell may be oneof the practical resonators. The vibrating shape of the cylindrical shell resonator precessesin the circumferential direction of the above shell as the resonator rotates at its centralaxis. And the precession of the vibrating shape in the circumferential direction provides thefeasibility of measuring the angular velocity and displacement of the vehicle. This paperstudies the precession of vibrating shape as the flawed cylindrical shell resonator *** relative and absolute error of the precession factor of the vibrating shape in thecircumferential direction is analyzed, and the principle for selecting and manufacturing theabove resonator is given. The obtained results are of practical significance for designingand developing the resonator gyro.

Background Recent studies have proved that brain-derived neurotrophic factor （BDNF） possesses angiogenic activity in vitro and in vivo. However, the proangiogenic mechanism of BDNF has not yet been provided with enough information. To explore the proangiogenic mechanism of BDNF, we investigated the effects of BDNF on extracellular proteolytic enzymes, including matrix metalloproteinases （MMPs） and serine proteases, particularly the urokinase-type plasminogen activator （uPA）-plasmin system in human umbilical vein endothelial cells （HUVECs） model.Methods Tube formation assay was performed in vitro to evaluate the effects of BDNF on angiogenesis. The HUVECs were treated with various concentrations of BDNF （25-400 ng/ml） for different （6-48 hours）, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） was used to assay MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1, and TIMP-2 mRNA in HUVECs, and the conditioned medium was analyzed for MMP and uPA activity by gelatin zymography and fibrin zymography, respectively, uPA, plasminogen activator inhibitor （PAI）-1, tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinase （TIMP）-1, and TIMP-2 were quantified by western blotting analysis.Results BDNF elicited robust and elongated angiogeneis in two-dimensional cultures of HUVECs in comparison with control. The stimulation of serum-starved HUVECs with BDNF caused obvious increase in MMP-2 and MMP-9 mRNA expression and induced the pro-MMP-2 and pro-MMP-9 activation without significant differences in proliferation. However, BDNF had no effect on TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 production. BDNF increased uPA and PAI-1 production in a dose-dependent manner. Maximal activation of uPA and PAI-1 expression in HUVECs was induced by 100 ng/ml BDNF, while effects of 200 ng/ml and 400 ng/ml BDNF were slightly reduced in comparison with with those of 100 ng/ml. Protease activity for uPA was also increased by BDNF in a dose-dependent manner. BDNF also stimulated uPA and PAI-1 production beyond that in control cultures in a time-dependent man
