Given Nepal's vulnerability to extreme precipitation(EP),it is imperative to conduct a comprehensive analysis to comprehend the historical trends of such ***,acquiring precise precipitation data for EP remains challenging in mountainous countries like Nepal owing to the scarcity of densely gauged *** limitation impedes the dissemination of knowledge pertaining to EP variability events in *** current research on this topic is deficient for two main reasons:1.there is a lack of studies leveraging recently released high-resolution precipitation products to identify their EP detection capabilities,which further hinders the usability of those products in data-scarce regions like Nepal,and 2)most studies have focused on the characterisation of EP events in Nepal rather than their spatial and temporal *** address these issues,this study evaluated the EP detection capabilities of four high-resolution precipitation product datasets(PPDs)across Nepal from 1.85 to *** datasets include the ERA5 Land reanalysis data,satellite-based precipitation data(PERSIANN_CCS_CDR and CHIRPS_V2.0)and a merged dataset(TPHiPr).We used various statistical and categorical indices to assess their ability to capture the spatial and temporal variability of EP *** annual EP events were characterised by 1. indices divided into frequency and intensity *** TPHiPr merged dataset offered a robust depiction of monthly precipitation estimates,achieving the highest critical success index,accuracy,probability of detection and a low false alarm ratio for daily precipitation detection of 0.1.mm in ***,the PERSIANN_CCS_CDR dataset exhibited poor *** PPDs showed increasing trends in EP ***,the TPHiPr dataset showcased those trends with fewer errors and stronger correlations for many frequency(R1.mm,R20mm and R25mm)and intensity(RX1.ay,RX5day,PRCPTOT and R99p)*** results indicate that TPHiPr outperformed ot

Let(Zn)be a supercritical branching process with immigration in an independent and identically distributed random *** necessary moment conditions,we show the exact convergence rate in the central limit theorem on log Zn and establish the corresponding local limit theorem by using the moments of the natural submartingale and the convergence rates of its *** similar approach and with the help of a change of measure,we also present the so-called integrolocal theorem and integral large deviation theorem to characterize the precise asymptotics of the upper large deviations.

Low H_(2)O_(2)consumption Fenton-like catalysts for pollutant cleavage based on the construction of a dual reaction center

High energy consumption has seriously hindered the development of Fenton-like reactions for the removal of refractory organic pollutants in *** solve this problem,we designed a novel Fenton-like catalyst(Cu-PAN3)by coprecipitation and carbon thermal *** catalyst exhibits excellent Fenton-like catalytic activity and stability for the degradation of various pollutants with low H_(2)O_(2)*** experimental results indicate that the dual reaction centers(DRCs)are composed of Cu-N-C and Cu-O-C bridges between copper and graphene-like carbon,which form electron-poor/rich centers on the catalyst surface.H_(2)O_(2)is mainly reduced at electron-rich Cu centers to free radicals for pollutant ***,pollutants can be oxidized by donating electrons to the electron-poor C centers of the catalyst,which inhibits the ineffective decomposition of H_(2)O_(2)at the electron-poor *** therefore significantly reduces the consumption of H_(2)O_(2)and reduces energy consumption.

Development of a novel signal restoration algorithm to eliminate the distorted components in space charge measurement excited by femtosecond laser irradiation

For the space charge measurement method with optical excitation for electrical insulation,the distortion of the excitation laser on the measurement signal and the accumulation of space charge have not been discussed *** experiment and simulation results show that three types of distorted components introduced by optical excitation can lead to distortion of the upper interface ***,the factors causing distortion of the measured signal and the formation mechanism are analysed.A virtual electrode potential compensation method and a distorted component extraction method are ***,an attenuation restoration and charge conversion correction factor is intro-duced,leading to a novel signal processing algorithm adapted to space charge optical measurement *** with the traditional algorithm,the novel algorithm has an error of less than 1.in the calculation of charge and electric field strength,with an increase in accuracy of 47.7%and 9.81.,*** applying the novel restoration algorithm,the comparison shows that the space charge accumulation does not change significantly under laser irradiation,verifying the reliability of the optical *** given algorithm can provide a theoretical and technical foundation for the realisation of the optical measurement method for space charge.

Enhanced Fenton-like process over Cu/L(+)-ascorbic acid co-doping mesoporous silica for toxicity reduction of emerging contaminants

Effective removal of emerging contaminants(ECs)to minimize their impacts on human health and the natural environment is a global *** the removal of ECs in water,we fabricated a seaweed spherical microsphere catalyst with Cu cation-πstructures by in situ doping of Cu species and ascorbic acid in mesoporous silica(Cu-C-MSNs)via a hydrothermal *** results indicate that bisphenol A(BPA)is substantially degraded within 5 min under natural conditions,with its biological toxicity considerably ***,industrial wastewater could also be effectively purified by Cu-C-MSNs/H_(2)O_(2) *** presence of metal sites and the complexation of ECs via cation-πinteraction andπ-πstacking on the catalyst surface were directly responsible for the polarization distribution of electrons,thus activating H_(2)O_(2) and dissolved oxygen(DO).The removal of contaminants could be attributed primarily to 1.the activation of H_(2)O_(2) into ^(·)OH to attack the contaminants and 2)self-cleavage because of the transfer of electrons from the contaminants to the *** study provides an innovative solution for the effective treatment of ECs and has positive implications for easing global environmental crises.

Exploration of the Impact Mechanism of Government Credibility Based on Variable Screening Method

Government credibility is an important asset of contemporary national governance, an important criterion for evaluating government legitimacy, and a key factor in measuring the effectiveness of government governance. In recent years, researchers’ research on government credibility has mostly focused on exploring theories and mechanisms, with little empirical research on this topic. This article intends to apply variable selection models in the field of social statistics to the issue of government credibility, in order to achieve empirical research on government credibility and explore its core influencing factors from a statistical perspective. Specifically, this article intends to use four regression-analysis-based methods and three random-forest-based methods to study the influencing factors of government credibility in various provinces in China, and compare the performance of these seven variable selection methods in different dimensions. The research results show that there are certain differences in simplicity, accuracy, and variable importance ranking among different variable selection methods, which present different importance in the study of government credibility issues. This study provides a methodological reference for variable selection models in the field of social science research, and also offers a multidimensional comparative perspective for analyzing the influencing factors of government credibility.

Correlations of baryon and charge stopping in heavy ion collisions

Ni-catalyzed highly regio- and stereo-selective diborylative cyclization of 1.6-enynes with diboron reagent

The Ni-catalyzed highly selective diborylative cyclization of 1.6-enynes with diboron reagent has been developed. When pinB-Bdan was used, multiple types of boron-containing functional groups could be installed into organic molecule with great chemoselectivity and regioselectivity though this reaction. Meanwhile, if B_2pai_2 was employed, the asymmetric diborylative cyclization could be well induced by using strategy of dynamic kinetic resolution. Importantly, the above reactions could afford desired product with 1.0% atomic economy, and could be compatible with different series of substituents. The studies of further transformation well illustrated that different type products could serve diverse synthetic strategy. Notably, the reaction mechanism was intensively studied by density functional theory(DFT) calculations, which could reveal the mechanism of regio- and enantio-selective control.
