BACKGROUND Multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome(MSMDS) is a rare genetic disease worldwide. The main mutation is the actin alpha 2(ACTA2) gene p.R179 H. In this paper, we report a Chinese MSMDS patient and systematically review the previous *** SUMMARY Here, we report a 9.6-month-old Chinese girl who was diagnosed with MSMDS based on her history and symptoms, such as recurrent cough, wheezing, and complications with congenital fixed dilated pupils. Chest high-resolution computed tomography revealed inhomogeneous lung transparency, obvious exudative lesions, and some lung fissures that were markedly thickened. Cranial magnetic resonance imaging excluded bleeding and infarction but showed abnormal signals in the centrum ovale majus and bilateral periventricular regions. Echocardiography only showed patent foramen ovale, and no patent ductus arteriosus, pulmonary artery dilatation, or pulmonary hypertension was found. Bronchoscopy indicated moderate bronchial malacia. These examinations in conjunction with the typical eye abnormality suggested a diagnosis of MSMDS, and sequencing of exon 6 of the ACTA2 gene demonstrated the heterozygous mutation c.536 G>A, p.R179 H. However, her parents' gene analyses were *** MSMDS is a rare genetic disease mainly caused by the mutation of the ACTA2 gene p.R179 H. The coupling between heat and pressure is the kernel of inertia friction welding(IFW)and is still not fully understood.A novel 3D fully coupled finite element model based on a plastic friction pair was developed to simulate the IFW process of a Ni-based superalloy and reveal the omnidirectional thermo-mechanical coupling mechanism of the friction *** numerical model successfully simulated the deceleration,deformation processes,and peak torsional moments in IFW and captured the evolution of temperature,contact pressure,and *** simulated results were validated through measured thermal history,optical macrography,and axial *** results indicated that interfacial friction heat was the primary heat source,and plastic deformation energy only accounted for 4%of the *** increase in initial rotational speed and friction pressure elevated the peak temperature,reaching a maximum of 1525.5K at an initial rotational speed of 2000 r/min and friction pressure of 400 *** interface heat generation could form an axial temperature gradient exceeding 320K/*** radial inhomogeneities of heat generation and temperature were manifested in a concentric ring distribution with maximum heat flux and temperature ranging from 2/5 to 2/3 *** radial inhomogeneities were caused by increasing linear velocity along the radius and an opposite distribution of contact pressure,which could reach 1.7 times the set pressure at the *** circumferential inhomogeneity of thermomechanical distribution during rotary friction welding was revealed for the first time,benefiting from the 3D *** deflection and transformation of distribution in contact pressure and Mises stress were indicators of plastic deformation and transition of quasi-steady state *** critical Mises stress was 0.5 times the friction pressure in this *** presented modeling provides a reliable insight into the thermo-mechanical coupling mechanism of IFW and lays a solid found

Cerium and cobalt loaded Co-Ce/TiO_(2)catalyst prepared by impregnation method was investigated for photothermal catalytic toluene *** on catalyst characterizations(XPS,EPR and H2-TPR),redox cycle between Co and TiO_(2)(Co^(2+)+Ti^(4+)↔Co^(3+)+Ti^(3+))results in the formation of Co^(3+),Ti^(3+)and oxygen vacancies,which play important roles in toluene catalytic oxidation *** introduction of Ce brings in the dual redox cycles(Co^(2+)+Ti^(4+)↔Co^(3+)+Ti^(3+),Co^(2+)+Ce4+↔Co^(3+)+Ce3+),further promoting the elevation of reaction sites *** full spectrum irradiation with light intensity of 580mW/cm^(2),Co-Ce/TiO_(2)catalyst achieved 96%of toluene conversion and 73%of CO_(2)yield,obviously higher than Co/P25 and Co/TiO_(2).Co-Ce/TiO_(2)efficiently maintains 10-hour stability test under water vapor conditions and exhibits better photothermal catalytic performance than counterparts under different wavelengths *** catalytic reaction displays improved activities compared with thermal catalysis,which is attributed to the promotional effect of light including photocatalysis and light activation of reactive oxygen species.

Corystosperms, an extinct group of “seed ferns” that lived from the late Permian to the Cretaceous or Eocene, are significant for seed plant phylogeny for their unique roles in partially resolving the long-standing question of angiosperm origins.A new fossil wood taxon, Fengweioxylon sinense gen. et sp. nov. is reported here based on exceptionally preserved wood material from the Jurassic in western liaoning, China, whose peculiar wood structure enables it to be recognized as the first unequivocal fossil wood record of a corystosperm plant in Laurasia. The anatomical structures of this corystosperm wood show gymnospermous characters. The discovery of the new specimen will provide more anatomical evidence for understanding the systematic and affinity of this seed plants.

Obtaining the sulfonamides(SAs)concentrations in the water body and sediment bulk was a prerequisite to reveal their transport and partitioning behavior in sediment-water environments and accurately assess their ecological *** the present study,the influences of multifactor interactions on the performance of o-DGTs with XAD-18 binding gels were analyzed by central combination experiments and response surfaces analysis,in which the target compounds were 9 *** results indicated that dissolved organic matter(DOM),pH,and suspended particulate matter(SS)had significant effects on the o-DGT sampling,whereas this o-DGT was independent of the ionic strength(IS).Concentning the composite influence of the four factors,the interaction between DOM and SS posed the most significant effect on all 9 SAs ***,an o-DGT and DIFSmodel was applied to explore the SAs migration between the water-sediments *** difference between desorption rate(k_(b))and adsorption rates(k_(f))values suggested that the kinetics of SAs was dominated by ***,the short-term sediment-water partitioning of SAs was clarified on the basis of distribution coefficient(K_(dl))for the labile SAs,among which the sulfadiazine(SDZ)had the largest labile *** ability of sediments to release SAs to the liquid phase as a sink was determined by response time(T_(c)).Among the 9 SAs,the longterm release of soseulfamethoxypyridazine(SMP)from the solid phase of sediments would have a potential risk to the aquatic environment,to which more attention should be paid in the future.

In this study,we investigated worldvolume fermions on the flavor brane in the D0-D4/D8 model,which is holographically equivalent to four-dimensional quantum chromodynamics with instantons or equivalently with a theta *** action involving the worldvolume fermions was obtained by the T-duality rules in string theory,and we accordingly derived their effective five-dimensional and canonical four-dimensional forms by using the systematic dimensional reduction and decomposition of the ***,we used the AdS/CFT dictionary to evaluate the two-point correlation function as the spectral function for the worldvolume fermions and interpreted the fermions as baryons by analyzing their quantum number with the baryon vertex in *** this sense,the interacted action involving the worldvolume fermions and gauge field on the flavor brane was finally derived in holography,which describes the various interactions of mesons and baryons with instantons in the large-N ***,this study provides a holographic picture to describe baryons and their interactions based on string theory,particularly in the presence of instantons or a theta angle.

In recent years, machine learning (ML) techniques have been shown to be effective in accelerating the development process of optoelectronic devices. However, as"black box"models, they have limited theoretical interpretability. In this work, we leverage symbolic regression (SR) technique for discovering the explicit symbolic relationship between the structure of the optoelectronic Fabry-Perot (FP) laser and its optical field distribution, which greatly improves model transparency compared to ML. We demonstrated that the expressions explored through SR exhibit lower errors on the test set compared to ML models, which suggests that the expressions have better fitting and generalization capabilities.

Background Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)is the leading global cause of respiratory infections and is responsible for about 3 million hospitalizations and more than 100,000 deaths annually in children younger than 5 years,representing a major global healthcare *** is a great unmet need for new agents and universal strategies to prevent RSV infections in early life.A multidisciplinary consensus development group comprising experts in epidemiology,infectious diseases,respiratory medicine,and methodology aims to develop the current consensus to address clinical issues of RSV infections in *** sources The evidence searches and reviews were conducted using electronic databases,including PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,and the Cochrane library,using variations in terms for"respiratory syncytial virus","RSV","lower respiratory tract infection","bronchiolitis","acute","viral pneumonia","neonatal","infant""children",and"pediatric".Results Evidence-based recommendations regarding diagnosis,treatment,and prevention were proposed with a high degree of *** supportive care remains the cornerstone for the management of RSV infections,new monoclonal antibodies,vaccines,drug therapies,and viral surveillance techniques are being rolled *** This consensus,based on international and national scientific evidence,reinforces the current recommendations and integrates the recent advances for optimal care and prevention of RSV *** improvements in the management of RSV infections will require generating the highest quality of evidence through rigorously designed studies that possess little bias and sufficient capacity to identify clinically meaningful end points.
