Multi-Objective Equilibrium Optimizer for Feature Selection in High-Dimensional English Speech Emotion Recognition

Speech emotion recognition(SER)uses acoustic analysis to find features for emotion recognition and examines variations in voice that are caused by *** number of features acquired with acoustic analysis is extremely high,so we introduce a hybrid filter-wrapper feature selection algorithm based on an improved equilibrium optimizer for constructing an emotion recognition *** proposed algorithm implements multi-objective emotion recognition with the minimum number of selected features and maximum ***,we use the information gain and Fisher Score to sort the features extracted from ***,we employ a multi-objective ranking method to evaluate these features and assign different importance to *** with high rankings have a large probability of being ***,we propose a repair strategy to address the problem of duplicate solutions in multi-objective feature selection,which can improve the diversity of solutions and avoid falling into local *** random forest and K-nearest neighbor classifiers,four English speech emotion datasets are employed to test the proposed algorithm(MBEO)as well as other multi-objective emotion identification *** results illustrate that it performs well in inverted generational distance,hypervolume,Pareto solutions,and execution time,and MBEO is appropriate for high-dimensional English SER.

The Very Large Area gamma-ray Space Telescope(VLAST)is a mission concept proposed to detect gamma-ray photons through both Compton scattering and electron–positron pair production mechanisms,thus enabling the detection of photons with energies ranging from MeV to *** project aims to conduct a comprehensive survey of the gamma-ray sky from a low-Earth orbit using an anti-coincidence detector,a tracker detector that also serves as a low-energy calorimeter,and a high-energy imaging *** developed a Monte Carlo simulation application of the detector using the GEANT4 toolkit to evaluate the instrument performance,including the effective area,angular resolution,and energy resolution,and explored specific optimizations of the detector *** simulation-based analysis indicates that the current design of the VLAST is physically feasible,with an acceptance above 10 m^(2.sr which is four times larger than that of the Fermi-LAT,an energy resolution better than 2.at 10 GeV,and an angular resolution better than 0.2.at 10 *** VLAST project promises to make significant contributions to the field of gamma-ray astronomy and enhance our understanding of the cosmos.

Clinical value of oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in diagnosis of gastric tumors

BACKGROUND The incidence of gastric cancer remains high,and it is the sixth most common cancer and the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths *** contrastenhanced ultrasonography is a simple,non-invasive,and painless method for the diagnosis of gastric *** To explore the diagnostic value of oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography for the detection of gastric *** The screening results based on oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and electronic gastroscopy were compared with those of the postoperative pathological *** Among 42.patients with gastric tumors enrolled in the study,the diagnostic accordance rate was 95.2.for oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography(n=40)and 90.5%for electronic gastroscopy(n=38)compared with postoperative pathological *** Kappa value of consistency test with pathological findings was 0.812.for oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and 0.718 for electronic gastroscopy,and there was no significant difference between them(P=0.397).For the TNM staging of gastric tumors,the accuracy rate of oral contrast enhanced ultrasonography was 81.9%for the overall T staging and 50%,77.8%,100%,and 100%for T1,T2.T3,and T4 staging,*** sensitivity and specificity were both 100%for stages T3 and *** diagnostic accuracy rate of oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography was 93.8%,80%,100%,and 100%for stages N0,N1-N3,M0,and M1,*** The accordance rate of qualitative diagnosis by oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography is comparable to that of gastroscopy,and it could be used as the preferred method for the early screening of gastric tumors.

High speed laser cladding as a new approach to prepare ultra-high temperature ceramic coatings

Ultra-high temperature ceramic(UHTC)coatings are used to protect the hot-end components of hypervelocity aerocrafts from thermal *** study provides a new approach to fabricate UHTC coatings with high speed laser cladding(HSLC)technology,and places more emphasis on investigating the formation mechanism,phase compositions,and mechanical properties of HSLC-UHTC *** show that a well-bonded interface between the coating and the tantalum alloy substrate can be *** coating is mainly composed of(Zr,Ta)C ceramic solid solution phase with a content of higher than 90% by volume and Ta(W)metal solid solution *** a relatively high powder feeding rate,the ZrC ceramic phase appears in the coating while a dense ZrC UHTC top layer with a thickness of up to~50μm is successfully *** for the mechanical properties of the HSLC coatings,the fracture toughness of the coating decreases with the increase of powder feeding *** increase of carbide solid solution phase can significantly improve the high temperature microhardness(552.7±1.8 HV0.5@1000℃).The innovative design of HSLC ZrC-based coatings on refractory alloys accomplishes continuous transitions on microstructure and properties from the substrate to the UHTC top layer,which is a very promising candidate scheme for thermal protection coating.

In recent years,the exploration of seabed has been intensified,but the submarine soils of silt and sand in the Yellow Sea area have not been well investigated so *** this study,the physical and mechanical properties of silt and sand from the Yellow Sea were measured using a direct shear apparatus and their microstructures were observed using a scanning electron *** test results suggest that the shear strength of silt and sand increases linearly with the increase of normal *** on the direct shear test,the scanning electron microscope was used to observe the section surface of *** is observed that the section surface becomes rough,with many“V”‐shaped *** particles appear on the surface of the silt structure and tend to be *** X‐ray diffraction experiment reveals that the sand and silt have different *** shear strength of sand is slightly greater than that of silt under high stress,which is related to the shape of soil particles and the mineral *** results can be a reference for further study of other soils in the Yellow Sea;meanwhile,they can serve as soil parameters for the stability and durability analyses of offshore infrastructure construction.

Vegetation canopies intercept and redistribute rainfall into throughfall and stemflow,which transfer substantial amounts of elements into the soil,influencing soil microbial community,plant survival,and plant community *** advancements in ecohydrological research,the implication of nutrient enrichment resulting from this redistribution of rainfall by canopies remains largely *** address this gap,we conducted a systematic review of 102. papers published between 2.00 and 2.2.,gathering data on nutrient concentration and enrichment for critical ions(including K^(+),Na^(+),Ca^(2.),Mg^(2.),NH_(4)^(+),Cl^(-),NO_(3)^(-)and SO_(4)^(2.))from the Web of Science and Chinese Knowledge Infrastructure *** aimed to synthesize the mechanisms,quantify the enrichments,and identify global patterns of nutrient enrichment in stemflow and throughfall across climate zones,and vegetation types and *** results of this study indicate that stemflow exhibits,on average,2.1times greater ion concentration(6.13 mg L^(-1))compared to *** particular,among the investigated ions,SO_(4)^(2.)(12.45and 6.32.mg L^(-1))for stemflow and throughfall,respectively,and Cl^(-)(9.2. and 4.81 mg L^(-1))exhibit the highest concentrations in both rainfall redistribution components,while K^(+)(13.7 and 5.8)and Mg^(2.)(5.6 and 2.8)have the highest enrichment *** climate zones,throughfall and stemflow show the lowest ion concentrations but the highest enrichment factors in extremely humid *** the temperature gradient,ion concentrations are the highest in cold climates with no clear patterns observed for enrichment factors with increasing *** addition,shrubs,conifers,mixed forests,and artificial ecosystems demonstrate enrichment factors 1.1 to 3.0 times greater than those of trees,broad-leaved plants,pure forests,and natural *** findings emphasize the need for increased attentions to artificial ecosystems,such as urban

Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(CE-MRI) is a pivotal tool for global disease diagnosis and management. Since its clinical availability in 2.09, the off-label use of ferumoxytol for ferumoxytol-enhanced MRI(FE-MRI) has significantly reshaped CE-MRI practices. Unlike MRI that is enhanced by gadolinium-based contrast agents, FE-MRI offers advantages such as reduced contrast agent dosage, extended imaging windows, no nephrotoxicity, higher MRI time efficiency and the capability for molecular imaging. As a leading superparamagnetic iron oxide contrast agent, ferumoxytol is heralded as the next generation of contrast agents. This review delineates the pivotal clinical applications and inherent technical superiority of FE-MRI, providing an avant-garde medical-engineering interdisciplinary lens, thus bridging the gap between clinical demands and engineering innovations. Concurrently, we spotlight the emerging imaging themes and new technical breakthroughs. Lastly, we share our own insights on the potential trajectory of FE-MRI, shedding light on its future within the medical imaging realm.

BACKGROUND For the first time,we investigated the oncological role of plexin domain-containing 1(PLXDC1),also known as tumor endothelial marker 7(TEM7),in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).AIM To investigate the oncological profile of PLXDC1 in *** Based on The Cancer Genome Atlas database,we analyzed the expression of PLXDC1 in *** immunohistochemistry,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),and Western blotting,we validated our *** prognostic value of PLXDC1 in HCC was analyzed by assessing its correlation with clinicopathological features,such as patient survival,methylation level,tumor immune microenvironment features,and immune cell surface checkpoint ***,to assess the immune evasion potential of PLXDC1 in HCC,we used the tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion(TIDE)website and immunohistochemical staining *** Based on immunohistochemistry,qRT-PCR,and Western blot assays,overexpression of PLXDC1 in HCC was associated with poor *** and multivariate Cox analyses indicated that PLXDC1 might be an independent prognostic *** HCC patients with high methylation levels,the prognosis was worse than in patients with low methylation *** enrichment analysis of HCC tissues indicated that genes upregulated in the high-PLXDC1 subgroup were enriched in mesenchymal and immune activation signaling,and TIDE assessment showed that the risk of immune evasion was significantly higher in the high-PLXDC1 subgroup compared to the low-PLXDC1 *** high-risk group had a significantly lower immune evasion rate as well as a poor prognosis,and PLXDC1-related risk scores were also associated with a poor *** As a result of this study analyzing PLXDC1 from multiple biological perspectives,it was revealed that it is a biomarker of poor prognosis for HCC patients,and that it plays a role in determining immune evasion status.
