A FEM-DFN model for the interaction and propagation of multi-cluster fractures during variable fluid-viscosity injection in layered shale oil reservoir

To investigate the height growth of multi-cluster fractures during variable fluid-viscosity fracturing in a layered shale oil reservoir,a two-dimensional finite element method(FEM)-discrete fracture network(DFN)model coupled with flow,stress and damage is proposed.A traction-separation law is used to describe the mixed-mode response of the damaged adhesive fractures,and the cubic law is used to describe the fluid flow within the *** rock deformation is controlled by the in-situ stress,fracture cohesion and fluid pressure on the hydraulic fracture *** coupled finite element equations are solved by the explicit time difference *** effects of the fracturing treatment parameters including fluid viscosity,pumping rate and cluster spacing on the geometries of multifractures are *** results show that variable fluid-viscosity injection can improve the complexity of the fracture network and height of the main fractures *** pumping rate of15 m^(3)/min,variable fluid-viscosity of 3-9-21-36-45 mPa s with a cluster spacing of 7.5 m is the ideal treatment *** field application shows that the peak daily production of the application well with the optimized injection procedu re of variable fluid-viscosity fracturing is 171 tons(about 2.85 times that of the adjacent well),which is the highest daily production record of a single shale oil well in China,marking a strategic breakthrough of commercial shale oil production in the Jiyang Depression,Shengli *** variable fluid-viscosity fracturing technique is proved to be very effective for improving shale oil production.

The acquisition of valuable design knowledge from massive fragmentary data is challenging for designers in conceptual product *** study proposes a novel method for acquiring design knowledge by combining deep learning with knowledge ***,the design knowledge acquisition method utilises the knowledge extraction model to extract design-related entities and relations from fragmentary data,and further constructs the knowledge graph to support design knowledge acquisition for conceptual product ***,the knowledge extraction model introduces ALBERT to solve memory limitation and communication overhead in the entity extraction module,and uses multi-granularity information to overcome segmentation errors and polysemy ambiguity in the relation extraction *** comparison verified the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed knowledge extraction *** case study demonstrated the feasibility of the knowledge graph construction with real fragmentary porcelain data and showed the capability to provide designers with interconnected and visualised design knowledge.

Underwater target motion estimation is a challenge for ocean military and scientific *** this work,we propose a method based on the combination of polarization imaging and optical flow for turbid underwater target *** imaging can reduce the influence of backscattered light and obtain high-quality images *** optical flow shows the motion and structural information of the *** use polarized optical flow to obtain the optical flow field and estimate the target *** experimental results of different targets under varying water turbidity levels illustrate that our method is realizable and *** precision is verified by comparing the results with the precise displacement data and calculating two error *** proposed method based on polarized optical flow can obtain accurate displacement information and a good recognition *** target segmentation based on the Otsu method further proves the superiority of the polarized optical flow under turbid *** study is valuable for target detection and motion estimation in scattering environments.

DLF-YOLOF:an improved YOLOF-based surface defect detection for steel plate

Surface defects can affect the quality of steel *** methods based on computer vision are currently applied to surface defect detection of steel ***,their real-time performance and object detection of small defect are still *** improved object detection network based on You Only Look One-level Feature(YOLOF)is proposed to show excellent performance in surface defect detection of steel plate,called ***,the anchor-free detector is used to reduce the network ***,deformable convolution network and local spatial attention module are introduced into the feature extraction network to increase the contextual information in the feature ***,the soft non-maximum suppression is used to improve detection accuracy ***,data augmentation is performed for small defect objects during training to improve detection *** show the average precision and average precision for small objects are 42.7%and 33.5%at a detection speed of 62 frames per second on a single GPU,*** shows that DLF-YOLOF has excellent performance to meet the needs of industrial real-time detection.

Laminar Flame Structure-Dependent Exergy Destruction Behavior at Auto-Ignition Time Scale:A Case Study of Dimethyl Ether(DME)

Hybrid deflagration/auto-ignition flame structures coexist in the combustion of advanced *** exergy destruction caused by different irreversible processes under varied flame regimes is thus important for understanding engine *** this study,the flame propagation modes for the premixed DME/air mixtures are numerically investigated under engine-relevant *** entropy generation and exergy destruction characteristics are compared under different flame *** reveal that as the typical premixed flame transition towards auto-ignition front,the exergy destruction from heat conduction and species mass diffusion gradually vanish and are dominated by chemical *** distributions of temperature and species mole fraction in the flame domain are analyzed to clarify the exergy destruction behaviors caused by heat conduction and mass ***,by dividing the DME oxidation process into four stages,the main reaction channels that contribute to the increase in exergy destruction from chemical reaction have been *** is found that the production and consumption of CH_(2)O and HO_(2) radical dominate the exergy destruction behavior during DME *** this basis,the kinetic mechanism of low-temperature chemistry causing greater exergy destruction is ***,low-temperature chemistry leads to significant exergy destruction due to(a)the large irreversibility of itself and(b)(mainly)the enhancement of H_(2)O_(2)loop reactions by low-temperature reaction *** the reduction of combustion irreversibility is promising to be achieved by reasonably regulating the fuel oxidation path.

Abnormal Action Detection Based on Parameter-Efficient Transfer Learning in Laboratory Scenarios

Laboratory safety is a critical area of broad societal concern,particularly in the detection of abnormal *** enhance the efficiency and accuracy of detecting such actions,this paper introduces a novel method called TubeRAPT(Tubelet Transformer based onAdapter and Prefix TrainingModule).Thismethod primarily comprises three key components:the TubeR network,an adaptive clustering attention mechanism,and a prefix training *** components work in synergy to address the challenge of knowledge preservation in models pretrained on large datasets while maintaining training *** TubeR network serves as the backbone for spatio-temporal feature extraction,while the adaptive clustering attention mechanism refines the focus on relevant *** prefix training module facilitates efficient fine-tuning and knowledge *** results demonstrate the effectiveness of TubeRAPT,achieving a 68.44%mean Average Precision(mAP)on the CLA(Crazy LabActivity)small-scale dataset,marking a significant improvement of 1.53%over the previous TubeR *** research not only showcases the potential applications of TubeRAPT in the field of abnormal action detection but also offers innovative ideas and technical support for the future development of laboratory safety monitoring *** proposed method has implications for improving safety management systems in various laboratory environments,potentially reducing accidents and enhancing overall workplace safety.

High-performance Si/VO_(2)-nanorod heterojunction photodetector based on photothermoelectric effect for detecting human radiation

As a typical candidate of optoelectronic materials,vanadium dioxide(VO_(2))has wide applications in photodetectors(PDs),but is still challenging in largely enhancing the photodetecting performance for low-power human ***,high-performance Si/VO_(2)nanorods(NRs)heterojunction PDs based on the photothermoelectric(PTE)effect are *** uniform VO_(2)-NRs array films were deposited on Si by using magnetron sputtering technique,and a Si/VO_(2)heterojunctions were *** device exhibits a four-stage photoresponse and broadband photoresponse from ultraviolet to long-wavelength *** from the unique nanorods structure and the strong PTE effect,the fabricated device exhibits a large enhancement of the photodetecting performance,showing an ultrahigh photodetectivity of 1.6×10^(13)Jones and ultrafast response rates with a risingedge time of~65.0μs,three orders of magnitude higher than other VO_(2)-based ***,the device exhibits unique abilities to detect human radiation even when the human fingers are far away from the device surface up to 10.0 ***,the fabricated Si/VO_(2)devices can also be applied as breath sensors to distinguish different breathing *** results supply an effective route to design high-performance photodetectors toward detecting human thermal radiation and respiration.
