Implicit Continuous User Authentication for Mobile Devices based on Deep Reinforcement Learning

The predominant method for smart phone accessing is conﬁned to methods directing the authentication by means of Point-of-Entry that heavily depend on physiological biometrics like,ﬁngerprint or face.Implicit continuous authentication initiating to be loftier to conventional authentication mechanisms by continuously conﬁrming users’identities on continuing basis and mark the instant at which an illegitimate hacker grasps dominance of the session.However,divergent issues remain unaddressed.This research aims to investigate the power of Deep Reinforcement Learning technique to implicit continuous authentication for mobile devices using a method called,Gaussian Weighted Cauchy Kriging-based Continuous Czekanowski’s(GWCK-CC).First,a Gaussian Weighted Non-local Mean Filter Preprocessing model is applied for reducing the noise pre-sent in the raw input face images.Cauchy Kriging Regression function is employed to reduce the dimensionality.Finally,Continuous Czekanowski’s Clas-siﬁcation is utilized for proﬁcient classiﬁcation between the genuine user and attacker.By this way,the proposed GWCK-CC method achieves accurate authen-tication with minimum error rate and time.Experimental assessment of the pro-posed GWCK-CC method and existing methods are carried out with different factors by using UMDAA-02 Face Dataset.The results conﬁrm that the proposed GWCK-CC method enhances authentication accuracy,by 9%,reduces the authen-tication time,and error rate by 44%,and 43%as compared to the existing methods.

Unitless Physics I: Relating the Fundamental Constants

The fundamental constants of Physics can be related via a numerical equivalence. This equivalence leads to a unitless transformation which reduces the number of fundamental constants and provides a simple relationship between E&M, gravitation and quantum mechanics. Unitless relationships in this paper are considered a representation associated with information processing internal to fundamental particles. The application of the unitless transformation (US9) to fundamental particle masses and lifetimes clearly demonstrates the applicability of this method to high energy physics.

Unitless Physics II: Internal Proton Structure US9-2

The internal structure of the proton is chaotic according to the Standard Model. This paper explores several possibilities, based on US9-1, for producing an internal structure of the proton which is orderly. The hypothesis that quantized distance determination via particle to particle communication is required for force application eliminates E & M in the proton interior enabling a structure consisting of gravitational orbits. Communication velocities much greater than the velocity of light are required to enable the fundamental particles to generate the accepted laws of physics. In order to generate increasing complexity in Nature, the Uncertainty Principle must become the Organizational Principle. The Hydrogen atom is the source of evolution.

An academic emergency department:residents' perspective

BACKGROUND:Since demographic changes have contributed to the growth of emergency medicine,a highly populous nation such as India needs to give physicians associated due credit and recognition.The management of knowledge source must also be conducted with due care as the work environment is completely different from that of any other clinicians.METHODS:The data were collected by direct interaction with residents of the department.Additional information was gathered by observation.The data were verified for validity.RESULTS:This study was to bring out the benefits of proactive decisions that could further enhance the emergency department.But such decisions did not always result in positive responses and improved morale.When such decisions were retracted as it causes misalignment with the existing system.An academic emergency department was expected and physicians should enrich their knowledge about emergency medicine.CONCLUSIONS:The problems faced by emergency department might be similar but the way in which one tackles the situation would be different.Decision making in this hospital may not be the best but it would've been the optimum one given the conditions available.

Black,pinto and white beans lower hepatic lipids in hamsters fed high fat diets by excretion of bile acids

Hypolipidemic and anti-obesity properties of extruded black,pinto and white beans were examined in male Syrian hamsters fed high fat diets for 3 weeks.The efficiency and effectiveness of extruder processing to eliminate heatlabile antinutrients were also determined.Hamsters fed a high fat diet containing 40%extruded black beans gained the same amount of weight as animals on a low-fat chow diet(based on AIN-93G).Total plasma cholesterol of the hamsters fed bean flour-based diets tended to be lower,ranging between 298 and 356 mg/dL,compared to 365 mg/dL for the control group and total and free liver cholesterol was about 50 and 33%lower,respectively,in the livers(freeze-dried)of hamsters fed the black turtle bean(BB)and pinto bean(PB)diets.The nitrogen content of the feces from hamsters fed the PB and white bean(WB)diets were 2.6x higher than the control and the excretion of deoxycholic acid(DCA)and lithocholic acid(LCA)was higher in all legume fed hamsters The results show that extrusion efficiently and economically reduces anti-nutritive factors that inhibit the digestion and absorption of proteins and carbohydrates.

The current climate and energy crisis urgently needs solar cells with efficiencies above the 29% single junction efficiency bottleneck.Silicon/perovskite tandem solar cells are a solution,which is attracting much attention.While silicon/perovskite tandem cells in 2-terminal and 4-terminal configurations are well documented,the three-terminal concept is still in its infancy.It has significant advantages under low light intensities as opposed to concentrated sunlight,which is the critical factor in designing tandem solar cells for low-cost terrestrial applications.This study pre-sents novel studies of the sub-cell performance of the first three-terminal perovskite/silicon selective band offset barrier tandem solar cells fabricated in an ongoing research project.This study focuses on short circuit current and operating voltages of the subcells under light intensities of one sun and below.Lifetime studies show that the perovskite bulk carrier lifetime is insensitive to illumination,while the silicon cell's lifetime decreases with decreasing light intensity.The combination of perovskite and silicon in the 3T perovskite-silicon tandem therefore reduces the sensitivity of V_(OC) to light intensity and maintains a relatively higher V_(OC) down to low light intensities,whereas silicon single-junction cells show a marked decrease.This technological advantage is proposed as a novel advantage of three-terminal perovkite/silicon solar cells for low light intensities of one sun or less.

Soil-transmitted helminth egg contamination from soil of indigenous communities in selected barangays in Tigaon, Camarines Sur, Philippines

Objective:To provide baseline data on the prevalence and intensity of soil-transmitted helminthiasis egg contamination in the soil among indigenous communities.Methods:A total of 317 soil samples from three barangays of indigenous communities communities in Tigaon,Camarines Sur,Philippines were examined for soil-transmitted helminthiasis egg contamination using optimized sugar flotation method.Results:Of the soil samples examined,141(44.48%)were contaminated by Ascaris spp.,Toxocara spp.,and Trichuris spp.with cumulative prevalence varying across the study sites(P<0.01).Ascaris spp.was predominant in all study sites,followed by Toxocara spp.and Trichuris spp.with a prevalence of 41.96%,7.57%,and 5.36%,respectively.Interestingly,Toxocara pp.has the highest intensity of contamination,followed by Ascaris spp.and Trichuris spp.in term of geometric mean soil-transmitted helminthiasis eggs recovered per one gram soil sample(34.25,21.45,and 11.85 respectively).Each study site harbors significant amount of soiltransmitted helminthiasis eggs and zoonotic Toxocara eggs,which present high risk of soil-transmitted helminthiasis infection,particularly among children observed to play and cohabitate with animals known to be hosts of these parasites.Conclusions:The alarming rate of soil-transmitted helminthiasis and Toxocara egg contamination reported in this study suggests that additional measures should be undertaken to control soil-transmitted helminthiasis and zoonotic intestinal infections in the country.

Ponseti method treatment of neglected idiopathic clubfoot:Preliminary results of a multi-center study in Nigeria

AIM To evaluate the effectiveness of the Ponseti method for initial correction of neglected clubfoot cases in multiple centers throughout Nigeria.METHODS Patient charts were reviewed through the International Clubfoot Registry for 12 different Ponseti clubfoot treatment centers and 328 clubfeet(225 patients) met inclusion criteria. All patients were treated by the method described by Ponseti including manipulation and casting with percutaneous Achilles tenotomy as needed.RESULTS A painless plantigrade foot was obtained in 255 feet(78%) without the need for extensive soft tissue release and/or bony procedures.CONCLUSION We conclude that the Ponseti method is a safe, effective and low-cost treatment for initial correction of neglected idiopathic clubfoot presenting after walking age. Longterm follow-up will be required to assess outcomes.

The objectives of this review were to 1)summarize the available evidence on the impact of hearing loss on quality of life(QOL)among U.S.active-duty service members,2)describe the QOL instruments that have been used to quantify the impact of hearing loss on quality of life,3)examine national population-level secondary databases and report on their utility for studying the impact of hearing loss on QOL among active-duty service members,and 4)provide recommendations for future studies that seek to quantify the impact of hearing loss in this population.There is a lack of literature that addresses the intersection of hearing impairment,the military population,and quality of life measures.For audiological research,U.S.military personnel offer a unique research population,as they are exposed to noise levels and blast environments that are highly unusual in civilian work settings and can serve as a model population for studying the impact on QOL associated with these conditions.This review recommends conducting a study on the active-duty service member population using a measurement instrument suitable for determining decreases in QOL specifically due to hearing loss.

Various studies have established that feedstock choice,pyrolysis temperature,and pyrolysis type influence final biochar physicochemical characteristics.However,overarching analyses of pre-biochar creation choices and correlations to biochar characteristics are severely lacking.Thus,the objective of this work was to help researchers,biochar-stakeholders,and practitioners make more well-informed choices in terms of how these three major parameters influence the final biochar product.Utilizing approximately 5400 peer-reviewed journal articles and over 50,800 individual data points,herein we elucidate the selections that influence final biochar physical and chemical properties,total nutrient content,and perhaps more importantly tools one can use to predict biochar’s nutrient availability.Based on the large dataset collected,it appears that pyrolysis type(fast or slow)plays a minor role in biochar physico-(inorganic)chemical characteristics;few differences were evident between production styles.Pyrolysis temperature,however,affects biochar’s longevity,with pyrolysis temperatures>500℃ generally leading to longer-term(i.e.,>1000 years)half-lives.Greater pyrolysis temperatures also led to biochars containing greater overall C and specific surface area(SSA),which could promote soil physico-chemical improvements.However,based on the collected data,it appears that feedstock selection has the largest influence on biochar properties.Specific surface area is greatest in wood-based biochars,which in combination with pyrolysis temperature could likely promote greater changes in soil physical characteristics over other feedstock-based biochars.Crop-and other grass-based biochars appear to have cation exchange capacities greater than other biochars,which in combination with pyrolysis temperature could potentially lead to longer-term changes in soil nutrient retention.The collected data also suggest that one can reasonably predict the availability of various biochar nutrients(e.g.,N,P,K,Ca,Mg,Fe,and Cu)based on feedstock choice and
