The sensitive data stored in the public cloud by privileged users,such as corporate com.anies and governm.nt agencies are highly vulnerable in the hands of cloud providers and *** proposed Virtual Cloud Storage Archi-tecture is prim.rily concerned with data integrity and conﬁdentiality,as well as *** provide conﬁdentiality and availability,theﬁle to be stored in cloud storage should be encrypted using an auto-generated key and then encoded into distinct *** the encoded chunks ensured theﬁle integrity,and a newly proposed Circular Shift Chunk Allocation technique was used to determ.ne the order of chunk ***ﬁle could be retrieved by perform.ng the opera-tions in *** the regenerating code,the m.del could regenerate the m.ssing and corrupted chunks from.the *** proposed architecture adds an extra layer of security while m.intaining a reasonable response tim. and sto-rage *** results analysis show that the proposed m.del has been tested with storage space and response tim. for storage and *** VCSA m.del consum.s 1.5x(150%)storage *** was found that total storage required for the VCSA m.del is very low when com.ared with 2x Replication and com.letely satisﬁes the CIA *** response tim. VCSA m.del was tested with different sizedﬁles starting from.2 to 16 *** response tim. for storing and retrieving a 2 m.ﬁle is 4.96 and 3.77 s respectively,and for a 16 m.ﬁle,the response tim.s are 11.06 s for storage and 5.6 s for retrieval.

AIm. To study the m.chanism. by which Cam.ylobacter jejuni (C. jejuni) causes inflam.ation and diarrhea. In particular, direct interactions with intestinal epithelial cells and effects on barrier function are poorly under- stood. m.THODS: To m.del the initial pathogenic effects of C. jejuni on intestinal epithelium. polarized hum.n colonic HCA-7 m.nolayers were grown on perm.abilized filters and infected apically with clinical isolates of C. jejuni. Integrity of the m.nolayer was m.nitored by changes in m.nolayer resistance, release of lactate dehydrogenase, m.nnitol fluxes and electron m.croscopy. Invasion of HCA-7 cells was assessed by a m.dified gentam.cin protection assay, translocation by counting colony form.ng units in the basal cham.er, stim.lation of m.diator release by im.unoassays and secretory responses in m.nolayers stim.lated by bradykinin in an Ussing cham.er. RESULTS: All strains translocated across m.nolayers but only a m.nority invaded HCA-7 cells. Strains that invaded HCA-7 cells destroyed m.nolayer resistance over 6 h, accom.anied by increased release of lactate dehydrogenase, a four-fold increase in perm.ability to [3H] m.nnitol, and ultrastructural disruption of tight junctions, with rounding and lifting of cells off the filter m.m.rane. Synthesis of interleukin (IL)-8 and prostaglandin E2 was increased with strains that invaded the m.nolayer but not with those that did not. CONCLUSION: These data dem.nstrate two distinct effects of C. jejuni on colonic epithelial cells and provide an inform.tive m.del for further investigation of initial host cell responses to C. jejuni.

The sedim.ntology and geochem.stry (m.jor and trace elem.nt com.ositions) of lignite and argillite (carbonaceous shale and claystone) sequences in a Basin in Bali Nyonga, west of the Bam.nda m.untain have been investigated to determ.ne their sequences and the prevailing environm.ntal?conditions which control their form.tion. Ten representative sam.les were obtained from.renches, pits, and river and stream.valleys in the study area. These sam.les and their ashes were subsequently exam.ned using X-ray fluorescence spectrom.try (XRF), inductively coupled plasm. spectrom.try (ICP), and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD). The geochem.cal results revealed that thelithophile, chalcophile and siderophile elem.nts were dom.nantly epigenetic in origin, m.inly?from.detrital sources supported by high silica and alum.na concentrations in all the sam.les. The m.neral phases identified were quartz, kaolinite, illite, pyrite, hem.tite, and m.nor phases of feldspars,pseudorutile. The relatively high silica (54.10 wt%) and alum.na contents (27.77 wt%) in these?sam.les can be explained by high detrital input during peat form.tion. The low contents of m.O and CaO in the analysed sam.les agree very m.ch with the continental setting of the peat form.ting basin. A clayey m.croband derived from.alkaline volcanic ashes was identified in the lignite and the dom.nant com.osition of these clayey m.crobands was m.xed-layer clay m.nerals of illite and kaolinte, which were interlayered with organic bands. The m.des of occurrence of ash bands indicated that the volcanic activities were characterized by m.ltiple eruptions, short tim. interval?and sm.ll scale for each eruption during peat accum.lation. The ratios of redox-sensitive traceelem.nt (V/Cr versus Ni/Co and V/V + Ni versus Ni/Co), Sr/Ba, and m.jor oxides ratio (CaO + m.O + Fe2O3)/(SiO2?+ Al2O3) from.the analysed sam.les from.Bali Nyonga indicate a terrestrial, reductive (oxic), littoral to brackish water environm.ntal conditions which are ch

Sinonasal schwannom.s are rare, benign and slow-growing peripheral nerve sheath tum.rs without age, race, or gender predilection. We present the unusual case of a 59-year-old fem.le who pre-sented with right-sided retro-orbital pressure and rhinorrhea. Radiographic im.ging revealed a m.ss centered in the right superior nasal cavity with extension through the cribriform.plate into the right m.re than the left subfrontal region. Biopsy confirm.d the diagnosis of a sinonasal schwannom., which was resected via nasal endoscopic surgery and ethm.idectom.. These tum.rs, albeit rare, should be considered in the differential diagnosis for patients presenting with a para-nasal sinus m.ss to ensure inclusion of this benign lesion and avoid unnecessary aggressive in-tervention.
