Detection of small cancer biomarkers with low molecular weight and a low concentration range has always been challenging yet urgent in many clinical applications such as diagnosing early-stage cancer,monitoring treatment and detecting ***,a highly enhanced plasmonic biosensor that can overcome this challenge is developed using atomically thin two-dimensional phase change *** precisely engineering the configuration with atomically thin materials,the phase singularity has been successfully achieved with a significantly enhanced lateral position shift *** on our knowledge,it is the first experimental demonstration of a lateral position signal change>340μm at a sensing interface from all optical *** this enhanced plasmonic effect,the detection limit has been experimentally demonstrated to be 10^(-15) mol L^(−1) for TNF-α cancer marker,which has been found in various human diseases including inflammatory diseases and different kinds of *** as-reported novel integration of atomically thin Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Te_(5) with plasmonic substrate, which results in a phase singularity and thus a giant lateral position shift, enables the detection of cancer markers with low molecular weight at femtomolar level. These results will definitely hold promising potential in biomedical application and clinical diagnostics.

The French Atlantic coast seismicity is minor to moderate. Nevertheless, in western （north and central） part of France, the active tectonics related to the south Armorican and the Bay of Biscay context results sometimes in shallow earthquakes with magnitude above five （e.g., the Oleron seismic crisis, magnitude （local） = 5.2, 1972）. The Charente region is featured by semi-diurnal tides that reach about six meters in height during the high tide period. Inlets are the main features of the Atlantic margin geomorphology nearby the Charente. Minor tsunamis have been observed and reported in the past. Here, we present a tsunami modelling computed with the TeLeMAC package that solves the non linear shallow water equations. This work helps to identify the role of the inlets that characterize the Charente＇s geomorphology on water wave＇s propagation. A tidal model is considered while the tsunami simulation is performed. The modelling results show that the Antioche, the Maumusson and the Pertuis inlets protect the Charente coast from destructive waves.

Indolylarylsulfones(IASs) are classical HIV-1 non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors(NNRTIs) with a unique scaffold and possess potent antiviral *** address the high cytotoxicity and improve safety profiles of IASs,we introduced various sulfonamide groups linked by alkyl diamine chain to explore the entrance channel of non-nucleoside inhibitors binding pocket.48 compounds were designed and synthesized to evaluate their anti-HIV-1 activities and reverse transcriptase inhibition ***,compound R_(10)L_(4) was endowed with significant inhibitory activity towards wild-type HIV-1(eC_(50(WT))=0.007μmol/L,SI=30,930) as well as a panel of single-mutant strains exemplified by L100I(eC_(50)=0.017μmol/L,SI=13,055),e138K(eC_(50)=0.017μmol/L,SI=13,123) and Y181C(eC_(50)=0.045μmol/L,SI=4753) which were superior to Nevirapine and ***,R_(10)L_(4) was characterized with significantly reduced cytotoxicity(CC_(50)=216.51μmol/L) and showed no remarkable in vivo toxic effects(acute and subacute toxicity).Moreover,the computer-based docking study was also employed to characterize the binding mode between R_(10)L_(4) and HIV-1 ***,R_(10)L_(4) presented an acceptable pharmacokinetic ***,these results deliver precious insights for next optimization and indicate that the sulfonamide IAS derivatives are promising NNRTIs for further development.

The Sèmè oilfield is located in Benin’s offshore coastal sedimentary basin, near the Benin-Nigeria border, and contains two important oil bearing structures called “Sèmè North” and “Sèmè South”. In this coastal basin, Turonian sandstones of Abeokuta formation (Cenomanian-Turonian to early Senonian age) form two reservoir units differentiated by two seismic horizons H6 and H6.5. The H6 seismic horizon represents the upper reservoir unit and is the main reservoir from which, more than 22 million barrels of crude oil had previously been produced in Sèmè oilfield. In order to improve knowledge of field petroleum geology, the present study presents the structural features of this upper reservoir unit. The use of Petrel software modules for the integration of 15 wells data, allowed presenting a structural model and illustrative cross sections that precise the geometry and specifying the structural characteristics of this reservoir unit within Sèmè field. The displayed structural architecture shows that the upper Turonian sandstones unit is composed of 11 layers including 7 reservoir layers (A, B, C1, C2, D1, D2, e) and 4 intra-reservoir layers (1, 2, 3 and 4) controlled by faults systems. The model provides basic framework necessary for geological characterization of the reservoir through a static model. The results of this study can be used for petrophysical modeling, Gross Rock Volume (GRV) determination and technical redevelopment of the field.

Fungal stromata were recently discovered in association with charcoal and burnt soil aggregates during an archaeological survey in the Chaˆtillon-sur-Seine forest *** wood and soil in the samples were dated to the medieval period(between 738 and 1411 AD).Light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy revealed that a few of the stromatal fragments still contained *** macromorphological characters were described and secondary metabolite profiles were generated using high performance liquid chromatography with diode array and mass spectrometric detection(HPLC–DAD/MS).The combination of these two data lines then allowed species *** of the fragments were assigned to Hypoxylon fragiforme,the type species of the Hypoxylaceae(Xylariales).Two further species whose stromata grew on the fossil charcoal could be tentatively identified as Jackrogersella cohaerens and(more tentatively)as Hypoxylon *** three species are still commonly encountered in the forests of Central europe ***,the HPLC-HRMS data of *** suggested the presence of unknown azaphilone dimers and of further new *** archaeological compounds were compared to fresh stromata of *** collected in Germany and subjected to the same analytical *** the major components in both samples were identified as the known mitorubrin type azaphilones and orsellinic acid,the chemical structures of seven novel complex azaphilone pigments,for which we propose the trivial names rutilins C-D and fragirubrins A-e,were elucidated using spectral methods(NMR and CD spectroscopy,high resolution mass spectrometry).It appears that these pigments had indeed persisted for millennia in the fossil stromata.

According to the latest studies, the French population witnesses a high level of elderly. It follows from this phenomenon health troubles, fragility, and for some people suffering from cognitive problems, a daily need of monitoring and tracking in the fugues cases. It is in this context that comes our research program SACHA (Search and Computerize Human Acts). Our ambition is to develop an electronic patch able to trigger alarms, detect falls and provide geolocation service. Our studies were focused on the conception and the integration of different antennas and functionalities of this system in aim to ensure a good compromise “integration/performances”. Several prototypes have been tested and validated in a nursing home.

Objective:In patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC),cetuximab[a monoclonal antibody targeting epidermal growth factor receptor(eGFR)]has been shown to improve overall survival when combined with radiotherapy in the locally advanced setting or with chemotherapy in first-line recurrent and/or metastatic(R/M)setting,*** biomarkers of resistance to cetuximab have been identified in metastatic colorectal cancer,no biomarkers of efficacy have been identified in ***,we aimed to identify biomarkers of cetuximab sensitivity/resistance in ***:HNSCC patients treated with cetuximab at the Curie Institute,for whom complete clinicopathological data and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded(FFPe)tumor tissue collected before cetuximab treatment were available,were *** analyses of PTeN and eGFR were performed to assess protein expression ***3 CA and H/N/KRAS mutations were analyzed using high-resolution melting(HRM)and Sanger *** evaluated the predictive value of these alterations in terms of progression-free survival(PFS).Results:Hot spot activating PIK3 CA and KRAS/HRAS mutations were associated with poor PFS among HNSCC patients treated with cetuximab in the first-line R/M setting,but not among HNSCC patients treated with cetuximab in combination with *** of PTeN protein expression had a negative predictive value among HNSCC patients treated with cetuximab and *** eGFR expression did not predict cetuximab sensitivity in our patient ***:Hot spot activating PIK3 CA and RAS mutations predicted cetuximab resistance among HNSCC patients in the firstline R/M setting,whereas loss of PTeN protein expression predicted resistance to cetuximab when combined to radiotherapy.
