Liver transplantation has been the treatment of choice for end-stage liver disease since *** has emerged as a major long-term cause of death for liver transplant *** retrospective studies that have explored standardized incidence ratio have reported increased rates of solid organ cancers postliver transplantation;some have also studied risk *** transplantation results in a two to five-fold mean increase in the rate of solid organ *** of head and neck,lung,esophageal,cervical cancers and Kaposi’s sarcoma is high,but risk of colorectal cancer is not clearly *** appears to be no excess risk of developing breast or prostate *** risk factors such as viral infection and tobacco consumption,and personal risk factors such as obesity play a key role,but recent data also implicate the role of calcineurin inhibitors,whose cumulative and dose-dependent effects on cell metabolism might play a direct role in *** this paper,we review the results of studies assessing the incidence of non-skin solid tumors in order to understand the mechanisms underlying solid cancers in post-liver transplant patients and,ultimately,discuss how to prevent these *** protocol changes,including a calcineurin inhibitor-free regimen,combined with dietary guidelines and smoking cessation,are theoretically the best preventive measures.

Mutations of t-complex testis expressed gene 5 transcripts in the testis of sterile t-haplotype mutant mouse

Aim： To determine the possible roles of the t-complex testis expressed gene 5 （Tctex5） on sperm functions, the fulllength sequence of mRNA was studied and compared in the testis between the normal wild-type and the sterile t-haplotype mutant mice. Methods： We applied rapid amplification of cDNA ends, Northern blot and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction to analyze the full length of Tctex5 mRNAs isolated from testes of the wild-type and the t-haplotype mice. Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction was used to semi-quantitatively compare expression of Tctex5 transcripts in the 16 tissues and 9.5 day stage embryos in the wild-type mice. e-translation was applied to estimate the amino acid sequences. Results： One long and one short transcript of Tctex5 mRNA were discovered in mouse testis of wild-type （Tctex5^long-＋ and Tctex5^short-＋） and t-haplotype （Tctex5^long-＋ and Tctex5^short-＋） mice, respectively. Being enhanced only in the testis, Tctex5^long-＋ had 17 point mutations and one 15-bp-deletion in the exon 1 region, comparing with the Tctex5^long-＋, whereas the Tctex5^short-＋ was similar to the Tctex5^short-＋. The short isoforms of Tctex5 mRNAs in the two models encoded exactly the same peptides, but the long isoforms did not. The estimated peptide encoded by Tctex5^long-＋ had significant mutations on putative sites of phosphorylation and PP1 binding. Conclusion： We established that mutations that occur in the Tctex5 long transcript of the t-haplotype mice are important for normal sperm function, whereas the short transcript of Tctex5 might have a conserved function among different tissues. （Asian J Androl 2008 Mar; 10： 219-226）

Comparison of alternative arterial anastomosis site during liver transplantation when the recipient’s hepatic artery is unusable

Groundwater Monitoring with Passive seismic Interferometry

Passive seismic interferometry takes advantage of natural ambient seismic noise generated by the wind, the storms and the human activities (e.g. cars, trains and hereafter pumps) to recover the slight variations of the seismic wave velocity induced by changes in the groundwater level. Here we compare the seismic measurements with actual piezometric data acquired on the Crépieux-Charmy (Lyon, France) groundwater exploitation field. We show the excellent correspondance between variations in the groundwater level and seismic velocity variations. We present hereafter the time and space monitoring of an hydraulic dome formed to prevent biological and chemical pollutions to enter the exploitation field. The horizontal resolution is solely limited by the number of seismic stations used, and is about 30 m in the present study. The vertical resolution of seismic measurement is impaired by spurious artifacts linked to the intermittent sources of noise. In average, the sensitivity of the seismic velocity change corresponds to a 50 cm change of waterlevel. This study confirms the possibility of groundwater monitoring in an industrial context with ambient seismic noise.

Cyclic Rhythms and Macroheterogenity of the Carbonated Intersaliferous Reservoirs in the Pripiat Basin (Byelorussia)

The intersaliferous complex of the Pripiat basin was deposited during a rift stage that occurred at Hercynian cycle. Reef formations are locally present within this complex, proof that the basin had undergone significant variations of tectonic regime during sedimentation processes. The natural reservoirs rocks of this complex consist essentially of biogenic, bioclastic limestones and dolomites which had suffered important diagenetics transformations. The vertical succession of these reservoirs rocks point up the existence of cycles quantified by the mathematical methods of autocorrelation and spectral analysis. The application of appointed mathematical methods for interpretation of neutron gamma logs of natural reservoirs intervals allowed the structuring of studied oil fields in linear hydrodynamic blocks proved by the water injections made with intention to maintain reservoirs pressure during fields’ exploitation.

synthesis and Characterization of the Thermoelectric Nickel Tetrathiooxalate Polymer as Nanoparticles

Nanoparticles of the conductive coordination polymer Ni(tto) have been synthesized under mild conditions in the presence of bio-based polyesters or polyethylene glycol acting as growth controlling agents. With polyesters, aggregates of particles are observed whereas well dispersed nanoparticles are obtained with polyethylene glycol. Indeed, for a Ni2+/polyethylene glycol weight ratio of 0.031, transmission electron micrographs evidence dispersed particles exhibiting sizes in the 3 - 10 nm range. Infrared spectra for nanopowders show two Cs stretching modes in the 1100 - 1190 cm−1 range, confirming the presence of the tetrathiooxalate ligand coordinated to the nickel center. The room-temperature electrical conductivity for the nanopowder prepared in the presence of polyethylene glycol is about 0.8 s∙cm−1, a decent value for tetrathiolate-based polymers. Finally, magnetic susceptibility measurements for well-dispersed Ni(tto) particles evidence a Curie-Weiss law in a large temperature range. Moreover, low temperatures measurement would confirm intra- or interchain interactions between nickel atoms within the Ni(tto) polymer chains.

Advanced Thermopile IR Dual Line sensor for smart Home

This article presents all steps between the advanced design and the production of CMOs compatible thermoelectric effect infrared sensors dedicated to smart home applications. It will start by making a comparison between thermopile, bolometer and pyroelectric technologies. Although sensitivity performances available with bolometers appear to be better at first sight, it is found that thermopiles have non-negligible advantages that make them more suitable for this application field. Then the different steps necessary for the design will be described, starting from the thermoelectric model of the sensor (temperature gradient, electrical sensitivity, etc.) and considering all steps up to technological manufacturing in a clean room. The results obtained on the structures produced on a specific computer-controlled measurement bench (temperature regulation with an onboard preamplification card) will be presented. Finally, the results prove that the square structures have better performances (s = 82 V/W and NeTD = 208 mK).

This paper presents the modelling, simulation and analysis of the dynamic behaviour of a mixed power network of 2.78 GW including hydro, thermal and wind power plants. The modelling of each power plant is described. The set of parameters of the turbine speed governor of the hydroelectric power plant is determined with a specific identification procedure to achieve stable operation for different cases such as interconnected, isolated or islanded operation. The analysis of the stability of the entire mixed islanded power plant is investigated through time domain simulations for different sets of controllers parameters and for different disturbances （load rejection and turbulent wind speed profile）.

本工作首次在实验室条件下对浅生区紫硫镍矿(Ni,Fe)3s4交代镍黄铁矿(Ni,Fe)9s8水热反应的机理及动力学进行了研究。起始反应矿物采用高纯自然镍黄铁矿,合成纯镍黄铁矿或合成镍黄铁矿-磁黄铁矿集合体。反应pH值采用0.2M醋酸-醋酸纳缓冲溶液控制在3～5的范围内。反应进程由X-射线衍射物相定量分析及扫描电镜观察进行跟踪。结果表明,当反应温度恒定在80℃时,交代20(4)%的镍黄铁矿需792h。相同条件下加入少量H2s可将反应速率提高一倍。当反应在125℃饱和蒸汽压水热环境下进行时,完全交代纯镍黄铁矿需约168h。此过程由于磁黄铁矿的存在而被催化,交代集合体中的镍黄铁矿仅需68h,进一步反应磁黄铁矿被交代成白铁矿。磁黄铁矿的催化作用可能源于溶解产生的微裂纹加速了流体的传质过程。当反应温度升高至145℃时,速率反而下降,不遵循Arrhenius经验规律。动力学分析得80℃速率常数介于5.8×10-8～3.0×10-7/s之间,125℃及145℃速率常数分别介于2.8×10-6～2.08×10-5/s及1×10-6～5.1×10-6/s之间,远高于同温度下固相扩散反应的速率常数,表明该反应在地质时标上为一快速反应。此外,用背散射电子显微技术对矿物表面形貌进行了分析,发现交代产物紫硫镍矿具有颗粒细小及存在微裂纹等特征,与自然界浅生矿床中的紫硫镍矿非常相似;电镜实验还表明该交代作用是一个典型的耦合溶解-再沉淀反应。其耦合机制的驱动力可能与反应界面处微空隙对流体饱和度的控制有关。
