Visualization onboarding supports users in reading,interpreting,and extracting information from visual data ***-purpose onboarding tools and libraries are applicable for explaining a wide range of graphical user interfaces but cannot handle specific visualization *** paper describes a first step towards developing an onboarding library called VisAhoi,which is easy to integrate,extend,semi-automate,reuse,and *** supports the creation of onboarding elements for different visualization types and *** demonstrate how to extract and describe onboarding instructions using three well-known high-level descriptive visualization grammars—Vega-Lite,***,and *** show the applicability of our library by performing two usage scenarios that describe the integration of VisAhoi into a VA tool for the analysis of high-throughput screening(HTS)data and,second,into a Flourish template to provide an authoring tool for data journalists for a treemap *** provide a supplementary website(https://***/visAhoi/)that demonstrates the applicability of VisAhoi to various visualizations,including a bar chart,a horizon graph,a change matrix/heatmap,a scatterplot,and a treemap visualization.

AIM: To investigate rates of re-establishing gastroenterology care, colonoscopy, and/or initiating me-dical therapy after Crohn's disease(CD) surgery at a tertiary care referral ***: CD patients having small bowel or ileocolonic resections with a primary anastomosis between 2009-2012 were identified from a tertiary academic referral center. CD-specific features, medications, and surgical outcomes were abstracted from the medical record. The primary outcome measure was compliance rates with medical follow-up within 4 wk of hospital discharge and surveillance colonoscopy within 12 mo of surgery. RESULTS: Eighty-eight patients met study inclusion criteria with 92%(n = 81) of patients returning for surgical follow-up compared to only 41%(n = 36) of patients with documented gastroenterology follow-up within four-weeks of hospital discharge, P ncluded younger age, longer length of hospitalization, postoperative biologic use and academic center patients. In the study cohort, 75.0% of patients resumed medical therapy within 12 mo, whereas only 53.4% of patients underwent a colonoscopy within 12 mo of ***: Our study highlights the need for coordinated CD multidisciplinary clinics and structured handoffs among providers to improve of quality of care in the postoperative setting.

Citizen scienee data have already been used to effectively address questions regarding migration,a fun dame ntal stage in the life history of *** this study,we use data from eBird and from 3 additional regional citizen scienee databases to describe the migration routes and timing of the red-footed falcon Falco vespertinus in the Mediterranean region across 8years(2010-2017).We further examine the seasonal and yearly variation in migration patterns and explore sites used during the species *** results suggest that the autumn passage is spatially less variable and temporally more consistent among years than in spring and that birds migrate faster in spring than in *** species seems to be more prevalent along the Central Mediterranean during spring migration,probably as a result of the clockwise loop migration that red-footed falcons *** was a high variation in annual median migration dates for both seasons as well as in migration routes across years and *** variation was exhibited in the longitudinal component thus indicating flexibility in migration *** additi on,our results showed the species'preference for I owl a nds covered with cropla nd and mosaics of cropland and natural vegetation as stopover sites during *** areas predicted from our distribution modeling highlight the importance of the Mediterranean islands as stopover sites for sea-crossing raptors,such as the red-footed *** study is the first to provide a broad-scale spatiotemporal perspective on the species migration across seasons,years and flyways and dem on strates how citize n science data can inform future monitori ng and conservation strategies.

糖尿病是妊娠常见的并发症之一,目前全世界各种类型的糖尿病患病率均在上升。妊娠合并糖尿病与母婴短期及长期的不良结局相关。妊娠合并糖尿病的治疗目标是尽量减少高血糖相关的母婴不良事件。糖尿病的类型决定了治疗方式各有侧重,既有关注改变妊娠期糖尿病患者的生活方式,也有关注糖尿病合并妊娠患者的持续血糖监测及胰岛素泵的应用。然而,考虑到不同类型的妊娠合并糖尿病均存在高血糖,因此治疗方法存在相当大的重叠。此外,尽管针对妊娠合并糖尿病治疗的研究已进行数十年,但是受限于患者群体特征的改变,不同治疗方法的局限性依然很突出。具体而言,尽管肥胖和糖尿病同时发生,包括血糖控制目标在内的治疗建议没有相应地改变,此外也没有针对每种类型的妊娠合并糖尿病单一最佳治疗策略。因此,妊娠期间的糖尿病女性更需要个体化的治疗,以最大限度地保证母婴的短期及长期健康。本文将回顾近期的临床研究,总结妊娠合并糖尿病的治疗策略和新的治疗方式。

Between crisis and opportunity, old age has many faces in Lebanon. While old age was first seen as a time of wisdom, the current trend accentuated by migration and the economic crisis sets a challenge for the Lebanese elder;they may be left behind unless something is done in all communities at a national level. In this short communication, we attempt to broaden the scope of thinking about training programs to target population-shift and create a true change. We reflect on our results as an intermediate outcome of public health interventions. We suggest that it may be worthwhile to evaluate population-shifts further and base the success of an intervention on measures of Health Related Quality of Life through the response-shift created by such national public health programs.

Dear Editor,The activating receptor DnAX accessory molecule-1(DnAM-1)plays an important role in T and natural killer(nK)cell-mediated cytotoxicity via the interaction with its ligands poliovirus receptor(PVR,CD155)and nectin-2(CD112).Compared with peripheral blood nK cells,tumor-infiltrating nK cells show reduced expression of DnAM-1 across several solid tumors,including ovarian and breast cancer resulting in impaired nK cell *** studies reported an inverse correlation between DnAM-1 expression and its ligands in leukemic blasts and ovarian cancer[1].

AIM： To study the role of advanced glycation end products （AGE） and their specific receptor （RAGE） in the pathogenesis of liver fibrogenesis. METHODS： In vitro RAGE expression and extracellular matrix-related gene expression in both rat and human hepatic stellate cells （HSC） were measured after stimulation with the two RAGE ligands, advanced glycation end product-bovine serum albumin （AGE- BSA） and n＇-（carboxymethyl） lysine （CML）-BSA, or with tumor necrosis factor-α （TnF-α）. In vivo RAGE expression was examined in models of hepatic fibrosis induced by bile duct ligation or thioacetamide. The effects of AGE-BSA and CML-BSA on HSC proliferation, signal transduction and profibrogenic gene expression were studied in vitro. RESULTS： In hepatic fibrosis, RAGE expression was enhanced in activated HSC, and also in endothelial cells, inflammatory cells and activated bile duct epithelia. HSC expressed RAGE which was upregulated after stimulation with AGE-BSA, CML-BSA, and TnF-α.RAGE stimulation with AGE-BSA and CML-BSA did not alter HSC proliferation, apoptosis, fibrogenic signal transduction and fibrosis- or fibrolysis-related gene expression, except for marginal upregulation of procollagen α1（ I ） mRnA by AGE-BSA. COnCLUSIOn： Despite upregulation of RAGE in activated HSC, RAGE stimulation by AGE does not alter their fibrogenic activation. Therefore, RAGE does not contribute directly to hepatic fibrogenesis.
