The lithium-sulfur(Li-S)technology is the most promising candidate for next-generation batteries due to its high theoretical specific energy and steady progress for applications requiring lightweight batteries such as aviation or heavy electric *** these applications,however,the rate capability of Li-S cells requires significant *** electrolyte formulations in Li-S batteries enable new pathways for cell development and adjustment of all ***,their rate capability at pouch cell level is often neither evaluated nor compared to state of the art(SOTA)LiTFSI/dimethoxyethane/dioxolane(LITFSI:lithium-bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide)***,the combination of the sparingly polysulfide(PS)solvating hexylmethylether/1,2-dimethoxyethane(HMe/DMe)electrolyte and highly conductive carbon nanotube Buckypaper(CNT-BP)with low porosity was evaluated in both coin and pouch cells and compared to dimethoxyethane/dioxolane reference *** advanced sulfur transfer melt infiltration was employed for cathode production with *** Li+ion coordination in the HMe/DMe electrolyte was investigated by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and Raman ***,ionic conductivity and viscosity was investigated for the pristine electrolyte and a polysulfide-statured *** electrolytes,DMe/DOL-1/1(DOL:1,3-dioxolane)and HMe/DMe-8/2,are then combined with CNT-BP and transferred to multi-layered pouch *** study reveals that the ionic conductivity of the electrolyte increases drastically over state of(dis)charge especially for DMe/DOL electrolyte and lean electrolyte regime leading to a better rate capability for the sparingly polysulfide solvating *** evaluation in prototype cells is an important step towards bespoke adaption of Li-S batteries for practical applications.

板壳这类薄壁结构在诸多工程领域得到广泛应用,预测其断裂行为对工程结构的完整性设计和强度评估具有重要意义。超弹性板壳断裂行为的数值仿真需同时考虑复杂的运动学描述、超弹性本构关系、几何非线性和断裂损伤对弹性常数的退化,因此具有一定的挑战性。将kirchhoff-Love(K-L)板壳理论与断裂相场法结合,采用T样条对位移场和相场的一、二阶偏导进行数值离散,满足了K-L板壳理论对形函数C^(1)连续的要求,建立了超弹性K-L板壳相场断裂模型的等几何分析数值格式,模拟了超弹性K-L板壳在均布载荷和位移加载下的断裂失效行为,研究了高斯曲率对超弹性K-L壳断裂性能的影响。数值模拟结果表明:所建立的数值格式可以有效地捕捉板壳在均布载荷下的复杂裂纹扩展路径,模拟得到的位移场可以有效地反映材料的裂纹分布情况;具有负高斯曲率的薄壳在承受内压作用时具有较好的断裂性能,可以承受更大的内压。

The COVID-19 pandemic poses a global threat to public health and *** continuously emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants present a major challenge to the development of antiviral agents and *** this study,we identified that eK1 and cholesterol-coupled derivative of eK1,eK1C4,as pan-CoV fusion inhibitors,exhibit potent antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 infection in both lung-and intestine-derived cell lines(Calu-3 and Caco2,respectively).They are also effective against infection of pseudotyped SARS-CoV-2 variants B.1.1.7(Alpha)and B.l.1.248(Gamma)as well as those with mutations in S protein,including N417T,e484K,N501Y,and D614G,which are common in South African and Brazilian *** structure revealed that eK1 targets the HR1 domain in the SARS-CoV-2 S protein to block virus-cell fusion and provide mechanistic insights into its broad and effective antiviral *** administration of eK1 peptides to hACe2 transgenic mice significantly reduced viral titers in lung and intestinal ***1 showed good safety profiles in various animal models,supporting further clinical development of eK1-based pan-CoV fusion inhibitors against SARS-CoV-2 and its variants.

In this article, we apply the first elliptic function equation to find a new kind of solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations （PDes） based on the ho- mogeneous balance method, the Jacobi elliptic expansion method and the auxiliary equation method. New exact solutions to the Jacobi elliptic functions of a nonlinear PDe describing pulse narrowing nonlinear transmission lines are given with the aid of computer program, e.g. Maple or Mathematica. Based on kirchhoff＇s current law and kirchhoff＇s voltage law, the given nonlinear PDe has been derived and can be reduced to a nonlinear ordinary differential equation （ODe） using a simple transformation. The given method in this article is straightforward and concise, and can be applied to other nonlinear PDes in mathematical physics. Further results may be obtained.

Surface integral analogy approaches for predicting noise from 3D high-lift low-noise wings

Three surface integral approaches of the acoustic analogies are studied to predict the noise from three concep- tual configurations of three-dimensional high-lift low-noise wings. The approaches refer to the kirchhoff method, the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings （FW-H） method of the permeable integral surface and the Curle method that is known as a special case of the FW-H method. The first two approaches are used to compute the noise generated by the core flow region where the energetic structures exist. The last approach is adopted to predict the noise specially from the pressure perturbation on the wall. A new way to con- struct the integral surface that encloses the core region is proposed for the first two methods. Considering the local properties of the flow around the complex object-the actual wing with high-lift devices-the integral surface based on the vorticity is constructed to follow the flow structures. The surface location is discussed for the kirchhoff method and the FW-H method because a common surface is used for them. The noise from the core flow region is studied on the basis of the dependent integral quantities, which are indicated by the kirchhoff formulation and by the FW-H formulation. The role of each wall component on noise contribution is analyzed using the Curle formulation. effects of the volume integral terms of Lighthill＇s stress tensors on the noise pre-diction are then evaluated by comparing the results of the Curle method with the other two methods.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

When an elastic string with fixed ends is subjected to transverse vibrations, its length varies with the time: this introduces changes of the tension in the string. This induced kirchhoff to propose a nonlinear correction of the classical D’Alembert equation. Later on, WoinowskyKrieger (Nash & Modeer) incorporated this correction in the classical euler-Bernoulli equation for the beam (plate) with hinged *** a new equation for the small transverse vibrations of a simply supported beam is proposed. Such equation takes into account kirchhoff’s correction, as well as the correction for rotary inertia of the cross section Of the beam and the influence of shearing strains, already present in the Timoshenko beam equation (of the Mindlin-Timoshenko equation for the plate).The model is inspired by a remark of Rayleigh, and by a joint paper with Panizzi & Paoli. It looks more complicated than the one proposed by Sapir & Reiss, but as a matter of fact it is easier to study if a suitable change of variables is *** author proves the local well-posedness of the initial-boundary value problem in Sobolev spaces of order ≥2.5. The technique is abstract, i.e. the equation is rewritten as a fourth order evolution equation in Hilbert space (thus the results could be applied also to the formally analogous equation for the plate).
