Background:Hijacking the transferrin receptor(TfR)is an effective strategy to transport amyloid-beta(Aβ)immuno-positron emission tomography(immunoPET)ligands across the blood-brain barrier(BBB).Such ligands are more sensitive and specific than small-molecule ligands at detecting Aβpathology in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease(AD).This study aimed to determine if this strategy would be as sensitive in rats and to assess how TfR affinity affects BBB transport of bispecific immunoPET ***:Two affinity variants of the rat TfR antibody,OX26,were chemically conjugated to a F(ab′)2 fragment of the anti-Aβantibody,bapineuzumab(Bapi),to generate two bispecific fusion proteins:OX265-F(ab′)2-Bapi and OX2676-F(ab′)*** analyses were performed 4 h and 70 h post-injection of radioiodinated fusion proteins in wild-type(WT)rats.[124I]I-OX265-F(ab′)2-Bapi was administered to TgF344-AD and WT rats for in vivo PET *** vivo distribution of injected[124I]I-OX265-F(ab′)2-Bapi and Aβpathology were ***:More[125I]I-OX265-F(ab′)2-Bapi was taken up into the brain 4 h post-administration than[124I]I-OX2676-F(ab′)2-Bapi.[124I]I-OX265-F(ab′)2-Bapi PET visualized Aβpathology with significantly higher signals in the TgF344-AD rats than in the WT littermates without Aβ*** PET signals significantly correlated with Aβlevels in AD ***:Affinity to TfR affects how efficiently a TfR-targeting bispecific fusion protein will cross the BBB,such that the higher-affinity bispecific fusion protein crossed the BBB more ***,bispecific immunoPET imaging of brain Aβpathology using TfR-mediated transport provides good imaging contrast between TgF344-AD and WT rats,suggesting that this immunoPET strategy has the potential to be translated to higher species.

Background:Physical inactivity and insomnia symptoms are independently associated with increased risk of depression and anxiety;however,few studies jointly examine these risk *** study aimed to prospectively examine the joint association of physical activity(PA)and insomnia symptoms with onset of poor mental health in ***:Participants from the 2013 to 2018 annnual waves of the Household Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia panel study who had good mental health(Mental Health Inventory-5>54)in 2013,and who completed at least 1 follow-up survey(2014-2018),were included(n=10,977).Poor mental health(Mental Health Inventory-5≤54)was assessed ***(2013)PA was classified as high/moderate/low,and insomnia symptoms(i.e.,trouble sleeping)were classified as no insomnia symptoms/insomnia symptoms,with 6 mutually exclusive PAinsomnia symptom groups *** of PA-insomnia symptom groups with onset of poor mental health were examined using discrete-time proportional-hazards logit-hazard ***:There were 2322 new cases of poor mental health(21.2%).Relative to the high PA/no insomnia symptoms group,there were higher odds(odds ratio and 95%confidence interval(95%CI))of poor mental health among the high PA/insomnia symptoms(OR=1.87,95%CI:1.57-2.23),moderate PA/insomnia symptoms(OR=1.93,95%CI:1.61-2.31),low PA/insomnia symptoms(OR=2.33,95%CI:1.96-2.78),and low PA/no insomnia symptoms(OR=1.14,95%CI:1.01-1.29)*** level of PA combined with insomnia symptoms was associated with increased odds of poor mental health,with the odds increasing as PA ***:The se findings highlight the potential benefit of interventions targeting both PA and insomnia symptoms for promoting mental health.

Purpose:To examine the joint associations between meeting guidelines for physical activity(PA)and sleep duration and all-cause mortality risk among ***:Participants were adults(n=282,473)aged 18-84 years who participated in the 2004-2014 *** Health Interview *** status was ascertained using the national Death Index through December ***-reported PA(Active:meeting both aerobic(AER)and muscle-strengthening(MSA)guidelines,AER only(AER),MSA only(MSA),or not meeting either AER or MSA(Inactive))and sleep duration(Short,recommended(Rec),or Long)were classified according to guidelines,and 12 PA-sleep categories were *** hazard ratios and 95%confidence intervals(95%CIs)for all-cause mortality risk were estimated using Cox proportional hazards regression ***:A total of 282,473 participants(55%females)were included;18,793 deaths(6.7%)occurred over an average follow-up of 5.4 *** to the Active-Rec group,all other PA-sleep groups were associated with increased mortality risk except for the Active-Short group(hazard ratio=1.08;95%CI:0.92-1.26).The combination of long sleep with either MSA or Inactive appeared to be *** a given sleep duration,mortality risk progressively increased among participants classified as AER,MSA,and *** each activity level,the mortality risk was greatest among adults with long ***:Relative to adults meeting guidelines for both PA and sleep duration,adults who failed to meet guidelines for both AER and muscle strengthening PA and who also failed to meet sleep duration guidelines had elevated all-cause mortality *** results support interventions targeting both PA and sleep duration to reduce mortality risk.

Relationship between increase rate of human plague in China and global climate index as revealed by cross-spectral and cross-wavelet analyses

Plague has caused the death of hundreds of millions of people throughout the human *** this disease is again re-emerging and hence is again becoming an increasing threat to human health in several parts of the ***,impacts of global climate variation(*** nino and Southern Oscillation[EnSO])and global warming on plagues are largely *** cross-spectral analysis and cross-wavelet analysis,we have analyzed the relationship between increase rate of human plague in China during 1871–2003 and the following climate factors(as measured by the Southern Oscillation Index[SOI],Sea Surface Temperature of east Pacific equator[SST]and air Temperature of the northern Hemisphere[nHT]).We found in the frequency domain that increase rate of human plague was closely associated with SOI and ***-spectral analysis reveals that significant coherencies between increase rate of human plague and EnSO were found over short periods(2–3 years),medium periods(6–7 years)and long periods(11–12 years,30–40 years).Cross-wavelet analysis reveals that increase rate of human plague oscillates in phase with SOI,but in anti-phase with SST over periods of 2–4 years and approximately 8 years(6–10 years).These results indicate that EnSO-driven climate variation may be important for occurrences of human plague in ***,there is a need for a further analysis of the underlying mechanism between human plague in China and EnSO.

Perovskite is a versatile group of oxide materials allowing their properties to be tailored by composition towards specific requirements. La Al O3 was prepared to study and report its properties in the context of its potential in thermal barrier coatings（TBCs） technology. A citric acid method was used for synthesis and the perovskite structure was confirmed using XRD and FT-IR. Viscosity of the solution precursor was checked as well as the particle size by laser particle size analysis. Densification behavior of the material was followed by conventional sintering and by spark plasma sintering. Apparent porosity by the Archimedes method, thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient were studied. Mechanical and fracture properties were measured at elevated temperatures up to 1300 ℃ For samples sintered at 1200-1400 ℃, coefficient of thermal expansion ranged from 5.5×10^-6 to 6.5×10^-6 K^-1 and thermal conductivity ranged between 2.2 and 3.4 W/（m？K）. Elastic modulus and ultimate stress were measured at 1000-1300 ℃, while by micro-indentation, fracture toughness was found to be 3 MPa·m1/2. As the sintering temperature increased from 1200 to 1500 ℃, significant densification from 3.21 to 5.81 g/cm^3 was found, indicating that material annealing should be made at least at 1400 ℃. Under this condition, negligible dimensional change in phase transition temperature of La Al O3 from the rhombohedral（R3 c） to the ideal cubic（Pm3 m） is found. Data reported in this work can be useful for comparing the mechanical and fracture behaviours of different TBCs developed involving La Al O3 as well as input for numerical simulations.

The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases rapidly grew since the SARS-CoV-2 virus was identified in late *** to the high transmissibility of this virus,more countries are experiencing the repeated waves of the COVID-19 ***,with limited manufacturing and distribution of vaccines,control measures might still be the most critical measures to contain outbreaks ***,evaluating the effectiveness of various control measures is necessary to inform policymakers and improve future *** addition,there is an ongoing need to enhance our understanding of the epidemiological parameters and the transmission patterns for a better response to the COVID-19 *** review focuses on how various models were applied to guide the COVID-19 response by estimating key epidemiologic parameters and evaluating the effectiveness of control *** also discuss the insights obtained from the prediction of COVID-19 trajectories under different control measures scenarios.
