Introduction: The Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 affected all the megacities of the world and made the mental health and lifestyle of people paralyzed. According to different studies, such difficulties were different in scale in different cities depending on the demographic attributes of the people. This phenomenon has created the essence of the current study to examine the health conditions in terms of their mental health, lifestyle, and demographic attributes during and immediate past of the COVID-19 era. Method: It was a cross-sectional study covering the people of Dhaka City Corporation. For this purpose, a multistage sampling method was applied, under which the respondents were selected randomly and a self-administered structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The questionnaire was developed based on the DASS 21, as it was suitable to measure the components of mental health in the form of depression, anxiety, and stress. Descriptive analysis and cross-tabulation were applied to find out the association between dependent and independent variables, whereas, a chi-square test was performed to examine the hypothesis. Finally, multivariate analysis was done to find out the risk factors. Three logistic regression models were developed for three dependent variables. Result: The findings of the analysis revealed that the lifestyle of people had severely influenced the components of their mental health conditions during and immediate past of COVID-19 in the Dhaka City Corporation, which varies to some extent depending on the demographic attributes of those. Conclusion: The above findings are statistically significant enough to conclude about the essence of taking preventive measures regarding mental health issues in the future. Regional Impact of Cyclone Sidr in Bangladesh: A Multi-Sector Analysis

This research investigates the impact of cyclone Sidr on six regional economic systems of Bangladesh. The study uses secondary data on direct damages and corresponding changes in consumer spending and public/private investment expenditure. It employs input–output modeling and simulates the changes in national and regional output,income, and employment due to cyclone Sidr. Our findings indicate that coastal regions of Bangladesh—Barisal,Chittagong, and Khulna—are more vulnerable to cyclone disaster than are other parts of the country. The cycloneinduced loss of output is highest for Chittagong Division and income and employment losses are greatest in Barisal Division. The most affected sectors are housing services,agriculture, construction, and industrial activities. But sectoral losses vary widely across the regions. This research also finds that the present state of consumer spending and investment expenditure is not great enough to handle cyclone-induced output, income, and employment losses. It argues that investment decisions must consider regional patterns of output, income, and employment losses in different economic sectors to ensure cyclone-resilient development in Bangladesh.

The nonlinear propagation of the dust-acoustic bright and dark envelope solitons in an opposite polarity dusty plasma(OPDP) system(composed of non-extensive q-distributed electrons, iso-thermal ions, and positively as well as negatively charged warm dust) has been theoretically investigated. The reductive perturbation method(which is valid for a small, but finite amplitude limit) is employed to derive the nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation. Two types of modes, namely, fast and slow dust-acoustic(DA) modes, have been observed. The conditions for the modulational instability(MI) and its growth rate in the unstable regime of the DA waves are significantly modified by the effects of non-extensive electrons, dust mass, and temperatures of different plasma species, etc. The implications of the obtained results from our current investigation in space and laboratory OPDP medium are briefly discussed.

In this study,a model for prediction of lignocellulose components of agricultural residues has been developed with Fourier Transformed Near Infrared(FT-NIR)spectroscopy *** calibration techniques(Principal Component Regression(PCR)and Partial Least Square Regression(PLSR))were assessed for prediction of lignin,holocellulose,α-cellulose,pentosan and ash,and found the PLSR better for lignin,holocellulose andα-*** PCR also produced better results for quantification of pentosan and *** range(7000-5000 cm^(-1))showed more informative than other parts of the spectral *** PLSR showed maximum value of R^(2)(R^(2)=0.91%)for prediction of *** the prediction of pentosan,the PCR was better(R^(2)=0.68%).The PCR also showed better results(R^(2)=86%)for quantification of *** determine amount of lignin,the PLSR was the best(R^(2)=0.83%)when the spectral data were de-trained and smoothed with Savitzky-Golay(S-G)filtering *** prediction ofα-cellulose,the PLSR was the best model(R^(2)=0.94%)when the data were pretreated with mean *** the best alternatives inNear Infrared(NIR)data preprocessing and calibration techniques,methods for quantification of lignocellulose components of agricultural residues have been developed which is rapid,cost effective,and less chemical intensive and easily usable in pulp and paper industries and pulp testing laboratories.

To enhance the reliability of long wireless link, a relay is placed between transmitter and receiver which break the link into two parts: transmitter to relay called 1st hop and relay to receiver called 2nd hop;such arrangement is called two hop wireless links. In two-hop wireless communication sometimes 1st and 2nd hops are affected by different types of fading called asymmetric fading environment. In this paper we consider four different combinations of Rayleigh and Nakagami-m fading on 1st and 2nd hop to observe the profile of combined pdf (probability density function) and cdf (cumulative distribution function). With the help of cdf we determine the variation of outage probability of mixed fading. Finally we plot the SER (symbol error rate) against the SNR (signal to noise ratio) of the 2nd hop for all possible combinations of the two fading taking the SNR of 1st hop as a parameter. Although recent literature deals with asymmetric fading environment but in this paper instead of details statistical model of such fading we provide the relative scenario of mixed fading on 2-hop wireless link.

To enhance link capacity of a wireless link one or more repeater is used between the sender and the receiver. Recent literature deals with multiple parallel links to enhance throughput instead of conventional single path. In case of a multidirectional and multi-hop wireless network, the selection of link of maximum signal to noise ratio (SNR) does not guarantee the maximum throughput. In this paper, we use augmenting path of Ford-Fulkerson algorithm in detection of maximum flow from sender to receiver. To reduce the process time at the sending node, minimum-cut theorem is used to determine maximum flow like power flow of previous work. Using the maximum flow algorithm, we obtain the capacity of multi-hop wireless link higher than the conventional theorem. The concept of the paper is applicable in MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network), WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) and CRN (Cognitive Radio Network).

Objective:To document the clinical,biochemical and imaging phenotypes of immunocompetent patients with adrenal ***:The clinical,biochemical and radiologic data of 18 immunocompetent patients[age:45.00(39.25,56.25)years,median(IQR),m/f(16/2)]with adrenal histoplasmosis presenting in the Department of Endocrinology,BSMMU between 2014 and 2020 were retrospectively ***:All patients were seronegative for HIV infection,and 27.8%(5/18)had well controlled diabetes *** median duration of the symptoms was 6.00(IQR:4.00,11.25)*** had significant weight loss,anorexia and *** was present in 61.1%(11/18)patients and night sweat was present in 27.8%(5/18)*** and hyperpigmentation were present in 55.6%(10/18)and 66.7%(12/18)cases,*** of 18 patients presented with adrenal *** occurred in 55.6%(10/18)cases,but none had *** of 18 patients had adrenal insufficiency whereas 83.3%(15/18)had high adrenocorticotropic *** scan revealed bilateral adrenal enlargement in all cases with oval shape and regular *** were hypodense having radiodensity 21-90 hounsfield unit,and 11.1%(2/18)were heterogeneous in contrast *** had noticeable calcification whereas 1.1%(2/18)cases had central necrosis with peripheral rim *** was present in 6 cases,splenomegaly in 3 cases and 5 patients had abdominal *** were confirmed by positive fine needle aspiration cytology of adrenal ***:Adrenal histoplasmosis should be considered in the list of differentials of bilateral adrenomegaly in immunocompetent individuals even living in non-endemic areas.
