Background:A new staging system for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)associated with portal vein tumor thrombus(PVTT)was developed by incorporating the good points of the BCLC classification of HCC,and by improving on the currently existing classifications of HCC associated with ***:Univariate and multivariate analysis with Waldχ2 test were used to determinate the clinical prognostic factors for overall survival(OS)in patients with HCC and PVTT in the training *** the conditional inference trees analysis was applied to establish a new staging ***:A training cohort of 2,179 patients from the Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital and a validation cohort of 1,550 patients from four major liver centers in China were enrolled into establishing and validating a new staging *** system was established by incorporating liver function,general health status,tumor resectability,extrahepatic metastasis and extent of *** staging system had a good discriminatory ability to separate patients into different stages and *** median OS for the two cohorts were 57.1(37.2-76.9),12.1(11.0-13.2),5.7(5.1-6.2),4.0(3.3-4.6)and 2.5(1.7-3.3)months for the stages 0 to IV,respectively(Plusions:A new staging system was established which provided a good discriminatory ability to separate patients into different stages and substages after *** can be used to supplement the other HCC staging systems.

An embedded electron current layer observed at the edge of the plasma sheet in the Earth’s magnetotail

The formation of an embedded electron current sheet within the magnetotail plasma sheet has been poorly *** this article,we present an electron current layer detected at the edge of the magnetotail plasma *** ions were demagnetized inside the electron current layer,but the electrons were still frozen in with the magnetic field ***,this decoupling of ions and electrons gave rise to a strong Hall electric field,which could be the reason for the formation of the embedded thin current *** magnetized electrons,the absence of the nongyrotropic electron distribution,and negligible energy dissipation in the layer indicate that magnetic reconnection had not been triggered within the embedded thin current *** highly asymmetric plasma on the two sides of the current layer and low magnetic shear across it could suppress magnetic *** observations indicate that the embedded electric current layer,probably generated by the Hall electric field,even down to electron scale,is not a sufficient condition for magnetic reconnection.

Understanding the local structure and thermophysical behavior of Mg-La liquid alloys via machine learning potential

The local structure and thermophysical behavior of Mg-La liquid alloys were in-depth understood using deep potential molecular dynamic(DPMD) simulation driven via machine learning to promote the development of Mg-La alloys. The robustness of the trained deep potential(DP) model was thoroughly evaluated through several aspects, including root-mean-square errors(RMSEs), energy and force data, and structural information comparison results;the results indicate the carefully trained DP model is reliable. The component and temperature dependence of the local structure in the Mg-La liquid alloy was analyzed. The effect of Mg content in the system on the first coordination shell of the atomic pairs is the same as that of temperature. The pre-peak demonstrated in the structure factor indicates the presence of a medium-range ordered structure in the Mg-La liquid alloy, which is particularly pronounced in the 80at% Mg system and disappears at elevated temperatures. The density, self-diffusion coefficient, and shear viscosity for the Mg-La liquid alloy were predicted via DPMD simulation, the evolution patterns with Mg content and temperature were subsequently discussed, and a database was established accordingly. Finally, the mixing enthalpy and elemental activity of the Mg-La liquid alloy at 1200 K were reliably evaluated,which provides new guidance for related studies.

Angular momentum dependence of quasifission dynamics in the reaction ^(48)Ca+^(244)Pu

The quasifission dynamics in the reaction ^(48)Ca+^(244)Pu is investigated in the framework of time-dependent Hartree-Fock(TDHF)theory. The calculations are performed in three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate without any symmetry restrictions. The full Skyrme energy functional is incorporated in our TDHF implementation. The quasifission dynamics is quite sensitive to the angular momentum of colliding system. The contact time of quasifission decreases as a function of angular momentum and then forms a plateau with small oscillations. The quasifission process is accompanied by an important multi-nucleon transfer. The quantum shell effect plays a crucial role in the mass and charge of quasifission fragments. The mass-angle distribution of the fragments is calculated, which can be compared directly with future experiments.

Ru doping triggering reconstruction of cobalt phosphide for coupling glycerol electrooxidation with seawater electrolysis

Seawater electrolysis is a promising approach for sustainable energy without relying on precious ***,the large-scale seawater electrolysis is hindered by low catalytic efficiency and severe anode corrosion caused by the harmful *** contrast to the oxygen evolution reaction （OER）and chlorin ion oxidation reaction （ClOR）,glycerol oxidation reaction （GOR） is more thermodynamically and kinetically favorable ***,a Ru doping cobalt phosphide （Ru-CoP2） is proposed as a robust bifunctional electrocatalyst for seawater electrolysis and GOR,for the concurrent productions of hydrogen and value-added *** in situ and ex situ characterization analyses demonstrated that Ru doping featured in the dynamic reconstruction process from Ru-CoP2to Ru-CoOOH,accounting for the superior GOR *** coupling GOR with hydrogen evolution was realized by employing Ru-CoP2as both anode and cathode,requiring only a low voltage of 1.43 V at 100 mA cm-2,which was 250 m V lower than that in alkaline *** work guides the design of bifunctional electrocatalysts for energy-efficient seawater electrolysis coupled with biomass resource upcycling.

A quantum-search-based multi-classifier for image recognition

The multi-class classification of images is a pivotal challenge within the realm of image processing. As the volume of visual data continues to expand, there is a burgeoning interest in harnessing the unique capabilities of quantum computation to augment the efficiency of classification tasks. However, many existing methods for training quantum image multi-classifiers parallel classical machine learning techniques, where the requisite circuit measurements increase linearly with the volume of training data. This work introduces a novel approach for training a quantum image multi-classifier based on the quantum search algorithm. We have meticulously conducted rigorous experiments on a handwritten digit dataset, a classic benchmark in the field. The results have been meticulously compared with previous works, and the comparative analysis not only validates the efficiency of our proposed approach, requiring only O(N/b) measurements during training, but also highlights a significant quadratic speedup of the algorithm.

Solute Diffusion Controlled dendritic Growth Under High Undercooling Conditions

Liquid Cu_(70)Co_(30) alloy is undercooled up to 363 K(0.22TL)by using glass-fluxing *** LKT/BCT dendritic growth theory is modified and made applicable to predict the kinetic characteristics of dendritic growth in those alloy systems which have extremely curved liquidus and solidus *** calculations reveal that the dendritic growth of primary α-Co phase in Cu_(70)Co_(30)alloy is constantly controlled by solute *** growth velocity of α-Co dendrite has a maximum value of 54.5mm/s at an undercooling of *** calculated solubility of Cu in α-Co dendrite decreases with the increase of undercooling,which agrees well with the experimental *** to peritectic transformation,the growth of α-Co dendrite is close to equilibrium solidification.
