Characterization of combined blast-and fragments-induced synergetic damage in polyurea coated liquid-filled container

Liquid-filled containers(LFC)are widely used to store and transport petroleum,chemical reagents,and other *** an important target of military strikes and terrorist bombings,LFC are vulnerable to blast waves and *** explore the protective effect of polyurea elastomer on LFC,the damage characteristics of polyurea coated liquid-filled container(PLFC)under the combined loading of blast shock wave and fragments were studied *** microstructure of the polyurea layer was observed by scanning electron microscopy,and the fracture and self-healing phenomena were *** simulation approach was used to explain the combined blast-and fragments-induced on the PLFC in ***,the effects of shock wave and fragment alone and in combination on the damage of PLFC were comprehensively *** showed that the polyurea reduces the perforation rate of the fragment to the LFC,and the self-healing phenomenon could also reduce the liquid loss rate inside the *** polyurea reduces the degree of depression in the center of the LFC,resulting in a decrease in the distance between adjacent fragments penetrating the LFC,and an increase in the probability of transfixion and fracture between *** the close-in blast,the detonation shock wave reached the LFC before the *** does not all have an enhanced effect on the protection of *** presence of internal water enhances the anti-blast performance of the container,and the hydrodynamic ram(HRAM)formed by the fragment impacting the water aggravated the plastic deformation of the *** combined action has an enhancement effect on the deformation of the *** depth of the container depression was 27%higher than that of the blast shock wave alone;thus,it cannot be simply summarized as linear superposition.

Ni-mediated C–N activation of amides and derived catalytic transformations

Amide, as a ubiquitous functional group, is essential in various aspects of chemistry and biology. Although the history of studying amide is rich and fruitful, the synthetic application of amide is very limited due to the inertness of amide C–N bond. Recently,significant advances have been achieved towards the nickel-mediated C–N activation of amides. This approach allows a facile generation of acyl-nickel intermediates, and a number of unique transformations have been designed and realized based on the amide C–N bond activation. Focused on the catalytic transformation, this review summarizes and categorizes the recent advances on the synthetic applications of Ni-mediated C–N bond activation of amides.

The potential of muon colliders opens up new possibilities for the exploration of new physics beyond the Standard *** is worthwhile to investigate whether muon colliders are suitable for studying gluonic quartic gauge couplings(gQGCs),which can be contributed by dimension-8 operators in the framework of the Standard Model effective field theory,and are intensively studied *** this paper,we study the sensitivity of the processμ^(+)μ^(-)→jjν■to *** results indicate that the muon colliders with *** larger than 4 TeV can be more sensitive to gQGCs than the Large Hadron Collider.

Constraints on anomalous quartic gauge couplings via Wγjj production at the LHC

Vector boson scattering at the Large Hadron Collider(LHC)is sensitive to anomalous quartic gauge couplings(aQGCs).In this study,we investigate the aQGC contribution to Wγjj production at the LHC with√s=13 TeV in the context of an effective field theory(EFT).The unitarity bound is applied as a cut on the energy scale of this production process,which is found to have significant suppressive effects on *** enhance the statistical significance,we analyze the kinematic and polarization features of the aQGC signals in *** find that the polarization effects induced by aQGCs are unique and can discriminate the signals from the SM backgrounds *** the proposed event selection strategy,we obtain the constraints on the coefficients of dimension-8 operators with current *** results indicate that the process pp→Wγjj is powerful for searching for the OM2,3,4,5 and OT5,6,7 operators.

Revealing the oxidation behavior of superalloys is crucial for optimizing material properties and extending service *** study investigated the oxidation behavior of superalloy GH4738 under stress states at 850℃.High-throughput specimens were fabricated to withstand different stresses at the same *** oxidation s amples were analyzed using the mass gain method to obtain oxidation kinetic *** results show that the external stress below 200 MPa could improve the oxidation resistance of the *** tensile stress increasing,the oxide layer becomes thinner,denser and more complete,while internal oxidation *** tensile stress alters the structure of the external oxide layer from a two-layer to a threelayer *** Cr_(2)O_(3) oxide layer inhibits the outward diffusion of Ti,leading to Ti enrichment at the oxide-matrix interface and altering the oxidation mechanism of GH4738.

The relation between the radii and the densities of magnetic skyrmions

Compared with the traditional magnetic bubble,a skyrmion has a smaller size,and better stability and therefore is considered as a very promising candidate for future memory *** skyrmions are manipulated,erased and created,the density of skyrmions can be varied,however the relationship between the radii and the densities of skyrmions needs more *** this paper,we study this problem both theoretically and by using the lattice *** average radius of skyrmions as a function of material parameters,the strength of the external magnetic field and the density of skyrmions is obtained and *** this explicit function,the skyrmion radius can be easily predicted,which is helpful for the future study of skyrmion memory devices.

Charged-current non-standard neutrino interactions at the LHC and HL-LHC

A series of new physics scenarios predict the existence of the extra charged gauge boson W’,which can induce charged-current(CC)non-standard neutrino interactions(NSIs).The theoretical constraints on the simplified W’model and further on the CC NSI parameters ε_(αβ)^-qq'Y from partial wave unitarity and W’decays are *** sensitivity of the process pp→W’→lv to the W’model at the LHC and high-luminosity(HL)LHC experiments is investigated by estimating the expected constraints on ε_(αβ)^-qq'Y (α=β=e orμ)using a Monte-Carlo(MC)*** find that the interference effect plays an important role,and the LHC can strongly constrain ε_(αβ)^-qq'L .Compared with those at the 13 TeV LHC with L=139 fb^(-1),the expected constraints at the 14TeV LHC with L=3 ab^(-1)can be strengthened to approximately one order of magnitude.

Clay brick masonry unit(CBMU) walls are widely used in building structures,and its damage and protection under explosion loads have been a matter of concern in the field of engineering *** this paper,a series of full-scale experiments of the response characteristics of 24 cm CMBU walls unreinforced and reinforced with polyurea elastomer subjected to blast loading were carried *** setting 5.0 kg TNT charges at different stand-off distances,the damage characteristics of masonry walls at different scaled distances were *** reinforcement effect of different polyurea coating thicknesses and methods on the blast resistance performance of masonry walls under single and repeated loads were also *** failure grades were summarized according to the dynamic response features of masonry *** on the stress wave propagation pattern in multi-media composite structures,the internal stress distribution of masonry walls were analyzed,and the division basis of the masonry walls’ failure grades was then *** with Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM)images,the deformation characteristics of soft and hard segments of polyurea and effects of detonation products on microstructures were revealed respectively,which provides an important reference for the design and application of polyurea in the blast resistance of clay brick masonry walls.

Experimental investigation on anti-penetration performance of polyurea-coated ASTM1045 steel plate subjected to projectile impact

In this study,the anti-penetration performance of polyurea/ASTM1405-steel composite plate subjected to high velocity projectile was *** kinds of modified polyurea material(AMMT-053 and AMMT-055)were selected and a ballistic impact testing system including speed measuring target system and high-speed camera was *** experiment was conducted with a rifle and 5.8 mm projectile to explore the effects by the polyurea coating thickness,the polyurea coating position and the glass-fiber cloth on the anti-penetration performance of polyurea/ASTM1405-steel composite *** result showed that the effects of polyurea coating position were different between two types of polyurea,and that the effects of glass-fiber position were disparate between two types of polyurea as *** AMMT-053 polyurea material,it was better to be on front face than on rear face;whereas for AMMT-055 polyurea,it was better to be on rear surface although the difference was very ***,formulas had been given to describe the relationship between the effectiveness of polyurea and the thickness of polyurea *** general,AMMT-055 had better anti-penetration performance than ***,five typical damage modes including self-healing,crack,local bulge,spallation and local fragmentation were defined and the failure mechanism was analyzed with the results of SHPB ***,the bonding strength played an important role in the anti-penetration performance of polyurea/steel composite plate.
