BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a primary contributor to cancer-related mortality on a global scale.However,the underlying molecular mechanisms are still poorly understood.Long noncoding RNAs are emerging markers for HCC diagnosis,prognosis,and therapeutic target.No study of LINC01767 in HCC was published.AIM To conduct a multi-omics analysis to explore the roles of LINC01767 in HCC for the first time.METHODS DESeq2 Package was used to analyze different gene expressions.Receiver operating characteristic curves assessed the diagnostic performance.Kaplan-Meier univariate and Cox multivariate analyses were used to perform survival analysis.The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)-Cox was used to identify the prediction model.Subsequent to the validation of LINC01767 expression in HCC fresh frozen tissues through quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction,next generation sequencing was performed following LINC01767 over expression(GSE243371),and Gene Ontology/Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes/Gene Set Enrichment Analysis/ingenuity pathway analysis was carried out.In vitro experiment in Huh7 cell was carried out.RESULTS LINC01767 was down-regulated in HCC with a log fold change=1.575 and was positively correlated with the cancer stemness.LINC01767 was a good diagnostic marker with area under the curve(AUC)[0.801,95% confidence interval(CI):0.751-0.852,P=0.0106]and an independent predictor for overall survival(OS)with hazard ratio=1.899(95%CI:1.01-3.58,P=0.048).LINC01767 nomogram model showed a satisfied performance.The top-ranked regulatory network analysis of LINC01767 showed the regulation of genes participating various pathways.LASSO regression identified the 9-genes model showing a more satisfied performance than 5-genes model to predict the OS with AUC>0.75.LINC01767 was down-expressed obviously in tumor than para-tumor tissues in our cohort as well as in cancer cell line;the over expression of LINC01767 inhibit cell proliferation and clone formation of Huh7 in vitro.CONCL

The rice stem borer(RSB),Chilo suppressalis,a notorious rice pest in China,has evolved a high resistance level to commonly used insecticides.Tetraniliprole,a new anthranilic diamide insecticide,effectively controls multiple pests,including RSB.However,the potential resistance risk of RSB to tetraniliprole is still unknown.In this study,the tetraniliprole-selection(Tet-R)strain was obtained through 10 continuous generations of selection with tetraniliprole 30%lethal concentration(LC_(30)).The realized heritability(h^(2))of the Tet-R strain was 0.387,indicating that resistance of RSB to tetraniliprole developed rapidly under the continuous selection of tetraniliprole.The Tet-R strain had a high fitness cost(relative fitness=0.53).We established the susceptibility baseline of RSB to tetraniliprole(lethal concentration at LC_(50)=0.727 mg/L)and investigated the resistance level of 6 field populations to tetraniliprole.All tested strains that had resistance to chlorantraniliprole exhibited moderate-to high-level resistance to tetraniliprole(resistance ratio=27.7-806.8).Detection of ryanodine receptor(RyR)mutations showed that the Y4667C,Y4667D,I4758M,and Y4891F mutations were present in tested RSB field populations.RyR mutations were responsible for the cross-resistance between tetraniliprole and chlorantraniliprole.Further,the clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9-mediated genome-modified flies were used to study the contribution of RyR mutations to tetraniliprole resistance.The order of contribution of a single RyR mutation to tetraniliprole resistance was Y4667D>G4915E>Y4667C~~I4758M>Y4891F.In addition,the I4758M and Y4667C double mutations conferred higher tetraniliprole resistance than single Y4667C mutations.These results can guide resistance management practices for diamides in RSB and other arthropods.

We study the nonlinear stage of modulation instability(MI)in the non-intergrable pure-quartic nonlinear Schrödinger equation where the fourth-order dispersion is modulated periodically.Using the three-mode truncation,we reveal the complex recurrence of parametric resonance(PR)breathers,where each recurrence is associated with two oscillation periods(PR period and internal oscillation period).The nonlinear stage of parametric instability admits the maximum energy exchange between the spectrum sidebands and central mode occurring outside the MI gain band.

The problem of high-precision indoor positioning in the 5G era has attracted more and more attention.A fingerprint location method based on matrix completion(MC-FPL)is proposed for 5G ultradense networks to overcome the high costs of traditional fingerprint database construction and matching algorithms.First,a partial fingerprint database constructed and the accelerated proximal gradient algorithm is used to fill the partial fingerprint database to construct a full fingerprint database.Second,a fingerprint database division method based on the strongest received signal strength indicator is proposed,which divides the original fingerprint database into several sub-fingerprint databases.Finally,a classification weighted K-nearest neighbor fingerprint matching algorithm is proposed.The estimated coordinates of the point to be located can be obtained by fingerprint matching in a sub-fingerprint database.The simulation results show that the MC-FPL algorithm can reduce the complexity of database construction and fingerprint matching and has higher positioning accuracy compared with the traditional fingerprint algorithm.

BACKGROUND Excellent hip joint function facilitates limb recovery and improves the quality of survival.This study aimed to investigate the potential risk factors affecting postoperative joint functional activity and outcomes in elderly hip fractures patients and to provide evidence for patient rehabilitation and clinical management.AIM To explore the relationship between inflammatory factors and hip function and the interaction between inflammation and health after hip fracture in elderly patients.METHODS The elderly patients who had hip fracture surgery at our hospital between January 1,2021,and December 31,2022 were chosen for this retrospective clinical investigation.Patients with excellent and fair postoperative hip function had their clinical information and characteristics gathered and compared.Age,gender,fracture site,surgical technique,laboratory indices,and other variables that could have an impact on postoperative joint function were all included in a univariate study.To further identify independent risk factors affecting postoperative joint function in hip fractures,risk factors that showed statistical significance in the univariate analysis were then included in a multiple logistic regression analysis.In addition to this,we also compared other outcome variables such as visual analogue scale and length of hospital stay between the two groups.RESULTS A total of 119 elderly patients with hip fractures were included in this study,of whom 37 were male and 82 were female.The results of univariate logistic regression analysis after excluding the interaction of various factors showed that there was a statistically significant difference in interleukin(IL)-6,IL-8,IL-10,C-reactive protein(CRP),and complement C1q(C1q)between the fair and excellent joint function groups(P20 pg/mL[Odds ratio(OR)3.070,95%CI:1.243-7.579],IL-8>21.4 pg/mL(OR 3.827,95%CI:1.498-9.773),CRP>10 mg/L(OR 2.142,95%CI:1.020-4.498)and C1q>233 mg/L(OR 2.339,95%CI:1.094-

Man-made impervious areas map is of great demand in environmen-tal and urbanization studies since impervious areas are considered as a key indication of urbanization,especially for circumpolar Arctic.However,to date,finer resolution and spatially continuous imper-vious areas information remains scarce in the Arctic.In this study,we developed an accurate and complete circumpolar Arctic Man-made impervious areas(CAMI)map at a resolution of 10 m by combining Sentinel-1 C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar,Sentinel-2 multispectral images,OpenStreetMap,and ArcticDEM via Google Earth Engine platform.A random forest classifier model was trained and used to generate corresponding impervious areas map for the year 2020.The evaluation results suggested that CAMI was the most accurate with an overall accuracy of 86.36%and kappa coefficient of 70.73%as against the three existing impervious areas products.Based on the generated map and OpenStreetMap,we estimated that total imper-vious areas area in the Arctic has achieved 807.80 km2,of which roads,industrial and resident land were three major land use types,accounting for 54.08%,17.85%and 10.34%,respectively.The CAMI map will support for new application and provide advanced insight into the infrastructure vulnerability evaluation and environmental sustainability in the Arctic.

Carbon dioxide(CO_(2) ) capture and conversion is the key route for the mitigation of the greenhouse effect and utilization of carbon sources to obtain value-added products or fuels.Much attention is paid to the development of novel materials with high CO_(2) adsorption capacity and conversion rate.MXene is the graphene-like two-dimensional metal carbide/nitride/carbonitride owning favorable structure,morphology,high surface-bulk ratio,and physicochemical properties.Here,we review the CO_(2) capture,sensing,and conversion by MXene and MXene-based materials.Furthermore,the underlying mechanism involved the capture,sensing,and conversion of CO_(2) is summarized.This review would open a new horizon for CO_(2) valorization with high efficiency and promising widespread applications.

Role of CD5 molecular-like on hepatocellular carcinoma

Background: CD5L (CD5 molecular-like) plays an important role in lipid metabolism and immune regulation. This study aimed to investigate the roles of CD5L on liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC). Methods: We analyzed the CD5L mRNA expression and its potential prognostic value based on The Cancer Genome Atlas and Gene Expression Omnibus databases. Immunohistochemical analysis was used to investigate the CD5L levels in LIHC tissues. Serum CD5L levels in LIHC were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay was used to investigate the effect of CD5L treatment on HepG2 and QSG-7701 cell proliferation. CD5L expression correlated genes were exhumed based on the LinkedOmics. Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analyses for CD5L associated genes were performed. The correlation between CD5L and tumor immune infiltration was analyzed by using Tumor Immune Estimation Resource (TIMER) 2.0. Results: CD5L mRNA and protein levels were significantly decreased in LIHC tumor tissue compared with non-tumor control tissues. Moreover, serum CD5L levels were significantly lower in LIHC patients than that in healthy subjects. Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis 2 and Kaplan-Meier plotter analysis showed that a high-CD5L expression was correlated with favorable overall survival in LIHC patients, except the LIHC patients with hepatitis virus. CCK-8 results showed that CD5L treatment significantly decreased HepG2 cell proliferation in a concentration-dependent manner, and CD5L treatment had no effect on the proliferation of non-tumor hepatocyte line QSG-7701. CD5L associated genes were enriched in the immune response biological process, and CD5L expression levels were positively correlated with the immune infiltrates of CD8 ^(+) T cell and M1 macrophage cells but negatively correlated with CD4 ^(+) T cells and M0 macrophage cell infiltration. Conclusions: Exogenous CD5L inhibits cell proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma. CD5L may act as a role of prognostic marker

Hydraulic servo system plays an important role in industrial fields due to the advantages of high response,small size-to-power ratio and large driving force.However,inherent nonlinear behaviors and modeling uncertainties are the main obstacles for hydraulic servo system to achieve high tracking perfor-mance.To deal with these difficulties,this paper presents a backstepping sliding mode controller to improve the dynamic tracking performance and anti-interfer-ence ability.For this purpose,the nonlinear dynamic model is firstly established,where the nonlinear behaviors and modeling uncertainties are lumped as one term.Then,the extended state observer is introduced to estimate the lumped distur-bance.The system stability is proved by using the Lyapunov stability theorem.Finally,comparative simulation and experimental are conducted on a hydraulic servo system platform to verify the efficiency of the proposed control scheme.
