Pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas(PPGLs)cause symptoms by altering the circulation levels of catecholamines and peptide ***,the diagnosis of PPGLs relies on diagnostic imaging and the detection of *** this study,we used ultra-performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(Q-TOF MS)analysis to identify and measure the perioperative differential metabolites in the plasma of adrenal pheochromocytoma *** identified differentially expressed genes by comparing the transcriptomic data of pheochromocytoma with the normal adrenal *** conducting two steps of metabolomics analysis,we identified 111 differential metabolites between the healthy group and the patient group,among which 53 metabolites were *** integrating the information of differential metabolites and differentially expressed genes,we inferred that the cysteine-methionine,pyrimidine,and tyrosine metabolism pathways were the three main metabolic pathways altered by the *** analysis of transcription levels revealed that the tyrosine and cysteine-methionine metabolism pathways were downregulated in pheochromocytoma,whereas the pyrimidine pathway showed no significant ***,we developed an optimized diagnostic model of two metabolites,L-dihydroorotic acid and *** results for these metabolites suggest that they may serve as potential clinical biomarkers and can be used to supplement and improve the diagnosis of pheochromocytoma.

Precipitation Evolution from Plain to Mountains during the July 2.2. Extreme Heavy Rainfall Event in North China

North China experienced devastating rainfall from 2. July to 1 August 2.2.,which caused substantial flooding and *** study analyzed observations from surface rain gauges and S-band dual-polarization radars to reveal the following unique features of the precipitation evolution from the plain to the mountains during this event.(1) The total rainfall was found concentrated along the Taihang Mountains at elevations generally > 2.0 m,and its spatiotemporal evolution was closely associated with northward-moving low-level jets.(2. Storms propagated northwestward with southeasterly steering winds,producing continuous rainfall along the eastern slopes of the Taihang Mountains owing to mountain blocking,which resulted in the formation of local centers of precipitation ***,most rainfall episodes with an extreme hourly rainfall rate(HRR),corresponding to large horizontal wind shear at low levels,actively occurred in the plain area to the east of the Taihang Mountains.(3) The western portion of the extreme heavy rain belt in the north was mainly caused by long-lasting cumulus–stratus mixed precipitation with HRR2. mm h~(-1);the eastern portion was dominated by short-duration convective precipitation with HRR > 2. mm h~(-1).The contributions of convective precipitation and cumulus–stratus mixed precipitation to the total rainfall of the southern and middle rain belts were broadly equivalent.(4) The local HRR maxima located at the transition zone from the plain to the mountains were induced by moderate storm-scale convective cells with active warm-rain processes and large number of small-sized rain droplets.(5) During the devastating rainfall event,it was observed that the rainfall peaked at around 1800 local time(LT) every day over the upstream plain area(no diurnal cycle of rainfall was observed in relation to the accumulated rainfall centers over mountain areas).This was attributable to convective activities along the storm propagation path,which was a resu

MOR zeolite has been effectively utilized for dimethyl ether(DME)carbonylation reaction due to its unique pore structure and *** industrial production,the transformation of ammonium type MOR zeolite(NH_(4)-MOR)into proton type MOR zeolite(H-MOR)causes inevitable ***,understanding the influencing factors and dynamic evolution mechanism of zeolite dealumination is *** this work,the stability of framework aluminum was studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy,^(2.)Si,^(2.)Al,^(1)H magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance(MAS NMR),and DME carbonylation performance *** results indicate that extra-framework cation Na^(+)and NH_(4)^(+)could better preserve the aluminum structure of the MOR zeolite framework compared to H^(+),primarily due to the different'attraction'of the framework to ***,the impact of water on the zeolite framework aluminum at high temperature was studied by manipulating the humidity of the calcination atmosphere,revealing the formation of extra-framework six-coordinated aluminum(Al(Ⅵ)-EF)and the mechanism of water influence on the zeolite framework aluminum.

Thermochromic polymers with tunable thermochromism,high stretchability and mechanical strength are of interests for optical information storage and *** this work,we demonstrate a new design of thermo-fluorochromic carboxylated nitrile butadiene rubber(XNBR)elastomer cross-linked by Eu^(3+)-COOH dynamic coordination with deprotonated imidazole(DPIm)as the ancillary *** presence of DPIm not only improves the mechanical strength and stretchability,but also dramatically intensifies the fluorescence emission and lifetime of the Eu-containing *** elastomer behaves reversible thermo-fluorochromism with easily tunable transition temperature and emission intensity by the simple change of the deprotonation degree of *** facile tunable thermo-fluorochromism,exceptional mechanical strength,and high stretchability(up to about 5000%)enable the Eu-containing XNBR elastomer with potential applications in soft electronics where optical information storage and encryption are required.

光学轨道角动量(OAM)可以纵向OAM的形式存在于空间涡旋光束中,或以横向OAM的形式存在于时空光涡旋波包中。与涡旋光束不同,时空光涡旋波包在传播过程中同时受到衍射和色散效应的影响,造成波包在时空域内的展宽,并且时空光涡旋波包携带的横向OAM也会在传播过程中分裂。这两点限制了横向OAM在其他研究领域的应用。本文引入并研究了携带横向OAM的三维时空局域波包,此波包可以同时克服衍射与色散效应造成的时空域三维变化。在传播过程中,该时空局域波包的时空域分布不变,且在遇到障碍物后也能快速重新恢复到原有的状态,具有传播不变以及自恢复的特性。本文对时空局域波包的传播过程以及经过障碍物后的恢复过程进行了数值模拟仿真,证实了其传播不变特性和自恢复特性。这种携带横向OAM的三维时空局域波包为横向OAM未来的利用提供了新的机遇,有望应用于光通信、量子光学、光学成像等领域。

Dexamethasone implant for refractory macular edema secondary to diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion

AIM:To evaluate the efficacy,timing of retreatment and safety of dexamethasone(DEX)implant on macular edema(ME)secondary to diabetic retinopathy(DME)and retinal vein occlusion(RVO-ME)patients who were refractory to anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)***:This retrospective study included 37 eyes received at least one DEX implant treatment for DME or RVO-ME between January 1,2.19,and January 1,*** refractory DME and RVO-ME cases received at least 5 anti-VEGF injections and failure to gain more than 5 letters or a significant reduction in central retinal thickness(CRT).The best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)and CRT were measured at baseline,and at 1,3,4 and 6mo post-DEX implant *** events such as elevated intraocular pressure(IOP)and cataract were ***:For RVO cases(n=2.),there was a significant increase in BCVA from 0.2.±0.19 to 0.35±0.2. at 6mo post-DEX injection(P2.1±90.6 to 2.0.5±39.0μm at 6mo(P2.±0.15 to 0.43±0.2. at 6mo post-DEX implant injection(P=0.0098),with CRT reducing from 445.7±55.7 to 2.1.7±34.1μm at 6mo(P<0.0001).Elevated IOP occurred in 45.9%of patients but was well-controlled with topical *** cases of cataract or other adverse events were ***:DEX implants effectively improve BCVA and reduce CRT in refractory DME and *** research with larger cohorts and longer follow-up periods is needed to confirm these findings and assess long-term outcomes.
