Alternating Current–Direct Current(AC–DC)converters require a high value bulk capacitor or aﬁlter capacitor between the DC–DC conversion stages,which in turn causes many problems in the design of a AC–DC *** component package size for this capacitor is large due to its high voltage rating and capacitance *** addition,the high charging current creates more pro-blems during the product compliance testing *** shelf life of these speciﬁc high value capacitors is less than that of Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors(MLCC),which limits its use for the highly reliable *** paper presents a fea-sibility study to overcome these two problems by adding a few sensing mechan-isms to the typical AC–DC converter *** majority of the AC–DC converter,Al-Elko capacitor takes approximately 3%to 5%of the converter *** proposed method reduces this to approximately 50%size and so it effectively approximates 2%to 3%size reduction in converter *** proposed method basically works based on the load current prediction method and hence it is highly suitable for the constant load ***,the converter response time increases in this method,which limit its application in high-speed *** high temperature application of Al-Elko capacitor is limited because of its poor performance,which is signiﬁcantly rectiﬁed by replacing the Al-Elko with MLCC as it delivers good performance in high temperature.

Interest in transactive energy frameworks(TEFs)is proliferating due to the modern smart grid *** paper proposes a TEF,which applies auction-theory,incorporates a system of agents,and facilitates a transactive energy market(TEM)through an ***,it also enables peer-to-peer(P2P)energy trading among the residential buildings in community microgrid for possible monetary *** this framework,there are three agents,namely,auctioneer,participants,and *** auctioneer is a managing agent modeled using auction theory to determine day-ahead internal market-clearing price and *** participants are autonomous and rational decision-makers;they aim to minimize their electricity bills through the demand response(DR)*** types of architectures,one with the third-party agent demonstrated using the MATLAB environment and the other with the virtual agent(without third-party)implemented using the blockchain environment are *** simulation results reflect significant monetary benefits to each market participant,improved community selfsufficiency,self-consumption,and reduced reliance on the utility grid.

A new approach based on multiwavelets transformation and singular value decomposition (SVD) is proposed for the classification of image textures. Lower singular values are truncated based on its energy distribution to classify the textures in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). The proposed approach extracts features such as energy, entropy, local homogeneity and max-min ratio from the selected singular values of multiwavelets transformation coefficients of image textures. The classification was carried out using probabilistic neural network (PNN). Performance of the proposed approach was compared with conventional wavelet domain gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) based features, discrete multiwavelets transformation energy based approach, and HMM based approach. Experimental results showed the superiority of the proposed algorithms when compared with existing algorithms.

In this paper we propose a novel method for identifying relevant subspaces using fuzzy entropy and perform clustering. This measure discriminates the real distribution better by using membership functions for measuring class match degrees. Hence the fuzzy entropy reflects more information in the actual distribution of patterns in the subspaces. We use a heuristic procedure based on the silhouette criterion to find the number of clusters. The presented theories and algorithms are evaluated through experiments on a collection of benchmark data sets. Empirical results have shown its favorable performance in comparison with several other clustering algorithms.

In the present scenario,the utilities are focusing on smart grid technologies to achieve reliable and profitable grid *** side management(DSM)is one of such smart grid technologies which motivate end users to actively participate in the electricity market by providing *** are expected to respond(demand response(DR))in various ways to attain these ***,residential consumers are interested in energy storage devices such as battery to reduce power consumption from the utility during peak *** this paper,the use of a smart residential energy management system(SREMS)is demonstrated at the consumer premises to reduce the total electricity bill by optimally time scheduling the operation of household ***,the SREMS effectively utilizes the battery by scheduling the mode of operation of the battery(charging/floating/discharging)and the amount of power exchange from the battery while considering the variations in consumer demand and utility parameters such as electricity price and consumer consumption limit(CCL).The SREMS framework is implemented in Matlab and the case study results show significant yields for the end user.

Objective:To screen the anti-cancer spike-mosses for the presence of various bioactivities and to identify the important bioactive chemicals present in Selaginella inaequalifolia(S. inaequalifolia)(Hook.& Grev.) ***:Preliminary phytochemical screening was done by following the method of Brindha et *** study was carried out by disc diffusion ***:Results of preliminary phytochemical screening on five different extracts(petroleum ether,benzene,chloroform,ethanol and distilled water) of the spike-moss *** show the presence steroids,triterpenes,phenolic group,tannin,sugars and ***,amino acids,anthraquinone and reducing sugar did not show any positive *** the five different extracts,ethanol and chloroform extracts show the presence of maximum number(4 each) of *** results on antimicrobial studies show that all the three microbes[Staphylococcus aureus(***),Escherichia coli(***) and Candida albicans (***)]tested are resistant to the ethanol extract and susceptible to petroleum ether *** petroleum ether extract shows maximum inhibition with 45 mm of inhibition zone in *** inhibition zone in *** and *** are 26 mm and 22 mm respectively. Conclusions:The present study shows *** having potent antibacterial and anticandidal activities.

Objective:To evaluate the phytochemical and anti-bacterial potential of mother plants in vivo and in vitro derived callus of Baliospermum montanum(***)(Willd.) Muell.-Arg. leaves and ***:The in vitro derived rootlets and leaves segments of *** were cut into 0.5-0.7 cm in length and cultured on Murashige and Skoog solid medium supplemented with 3%sucrose,gelled with 0.7%agar and different concentration of 2,4-D either alone or in *** preliminary phytochemical screening was performed by Harborne *** efficacy was performed by well diffusion method and incubated for 24 h at 37℃.Results:The highest percentage of callus formation(leaves segments 86.9±0.56:root segments 78.7±0.51) was obtained on Murashige and Skoog’s basal medium supplemented with 3%sucrose and 2.0 mg/L of 2.4-Dichlorophenoxy acetic *** phytochemical study revealed the high quantity presence of steroids,triterpenoids,glycosides,saponins,alkaloids,flavanoids, phenolic compounds,tannins,sugars etc of root and leaves derived *** ethanol extract of leaves segment derived calli of *** showed the maximum solubility and antimicrobial activity with the MIC ranged from 100 to 200μ***:The preliminary phytochemical study confirmed that the calli mediated tissues showed the higher percentage of metabolite constituents and extraction value compared to the in vivo leaves and *** present study observation suggested that a possibility to establish high yielding genotypes by in vitro culture for production of medicinally important bioactive compounds.

The hot deformation behavior of as-cast ZE41A magnesium alloy was studied by employing both processing maps and microstructural observations. To obtain processing map, hot compression tests were performed over a range of strain rates (0.001-1.0 s-1) and temperatures (250-450 ℃). Power dissipation efficiency (η) and instability parameter [ξ (ε)] were evaluated and processing maps were developed for the strain of 0.5. The dynamic recrystallization (DRX) and instable zones were identified and validated through micrographs. The processing maps can be used to select optimum strain rates and temperatures for effective hot working of the material.

This study aims to analyse and forecast the significance of input process parameters to obtain a better ENi-P-TiO_(2) coated surface using artificial neural networks(ANN).By varying the four process parameters with the Taguchi L9 design,fortyfive numbers of AH36 steel specimens are coated with ENi-P-TiO_(2) composites,and their microhardness values are *** ANN model was formulated using the input and output data obtained from the 45 *** optimal design was developed based on mean squared error(MSE)and R2 *** experimentally measured values were compared with their predicted values to determine the ANN model’s *** efficiency of the ANN model is evaluated with an R2 value of 0.959 and an MSE value of *** authors have concluded that the developed model is suitable for designing and predicting ENi-P-TiO_(2) composite coatings to avoid extensive experimentation with economic *** Electron Microscope(SEM)and X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD)are also utilised to compare the base metal and optimal coated surface.
