to access the influence of a vegetation on soil microorganisms toward organic pollutant biogegration,this study examined the rhizospheric effects of four plant species(sudan grass,white clover,alfalfa,and fescue)on the soil microbial community and in-situ pyrene(PYR)*** results indic.t.d that the spiked PYR levels in soils decreased substantially compared to the control soil without *** equal planted densities,the efficiencies of PYR degradation in rhizosphere with sudan grass,white clover,alfalfa and fescue were 34.0%,28.4%,27.7%,and 9.9%,***,on the basis of equal root biomass the efficiencies were in order of white clover..*** increased PYR biodegradation was attributed to the enhanced bacterial population and activity induced by plant roots in the *** microbial species and biomasses were elucidated in terms of microbial phospholipid ester-linked fatty acid(PLFA)*** principal component analysis(PcA)revealed significant changes in PLFA pattern in planted and non-planted soils spiked with *** PLFAs in planted soils were all higher than those in non-planted *** assemblages indic.t.d that bacteria were the primary PYR degrading microorganisms,and that Gram-positive bacteria exhibited higher tolerance to PYR than Gram-negative bacteria did.

AIM： to study the effects of c.t.keratin 17 （cK17） on sodium iodate （NalOs） induced rat retinal pigment epithelium （RPE） degeneration, laser induced rat choroidal neovascularization （cNV）, and oxidative stress of human retinal pigment epithelium cells （ARPE-19） and human umbilical vein endothelial cell （HUVEc）. MEtHODS： thirty 8-week-old male Brown Norway rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, 10 rats in control group treated with solvent alone; 10 rats in NalOs group treated with solvent and 35 mg/kg NalO3 injection through hypoglossal vein and 10 rats in cK17 ＋NaIOs group treated with 1% cK17 eye drop 3 times a day for lwk before and 4wk after NalOs injection. RPE function was measured with c-wave of electroretinogram （ERG）. Another 20 rats were randomly divided into 2 groups. Of them 10 rats in cK17 group were anesthetized to receive Nd：YAG laser and given 1% cK17 eye drop before same as above; 10 rats in control were received Nd：YAG and treated with solvent. the development of choroidal neovascularization （cNV） was determined by fundus fluorescein angiography （FFA） performed on 4wk after laser. Methylthiazoly tetrazolium （Mtt） assay was used to study effect of cK17 on various oxidants induced injury in ARPE-19 and HUVEc /n vitro RESULtS： Four weeks after NalOs injection, the c- wave amplitude of ERG was 0.393±0.02 V in the control group, 0.184±0.018 V in NalOs group and 0.3±0.01 V in cK17＋NalOs group. there was a significant reversal of the c-wave by cK17 as compared to NalOs group （P〈0.01）. Four weeks after laser, the size of the cNV lesion was 2.57±0.27 mm2 in control group and 1.64 ±0.08 mm2 in cK17 group. the lesion size significantly diminished in cK17 group （P〈0.01）. the inn vitro results showed cK17 also reversed the various oxidants induced injuries in ARPE-19 at the dose of 100 μg/mL and enhanced the injury in HUVEcs at different concentrations. cONcLUSION： cK17 can significantly protect RPE from NalOs induced degeneration in vivo and /n vito and al

Shallow marine sequences of the northern South china Sea (ScS) are uplifted and exposed by plate convergence in the taiwan mountain belt. these deposits provide detailed geological information about the rifting event, stratigraphy, sedimentology, paleoclimate and paleoceanography of the shallow ScS to compare with what are recorded in the ODP 1148 deep-sea core. Seismic surveys and marine micropalentological studies show that Eocene sequences in the offshore taiwan Strait and onland taiwan mountain belt are all deposited in rifting basins and are covered unconformably by the Late Oligocene-Neogene post-rifting strata. Between syn-rifting and post-rifting sequences, there is a regional break-up unconformity throughout the island. Early Oligocene and Late Eocene strata are missing along the break-up unconformity equivalent to the t7 unconformity in the Pearl River Mouth Basin off south china. this may suggest that the ScS oceanic crust could have initiated between 33 and 39 Ma. Neither obvious stratigraphic gap nor slumping features are found in the Oligocene-Miocene transition interval of taiwan. this observation highly contrasts with what has been documented from the ODP 1148 deep-sea core. this suggests that the stratigraphic gap and slumping features could only be recorded in the ScS deep sea region, but not in the shallow shelf near taiwan. compared to the Middle Miocene paleoceanographic re-organization events in the ScS deep sea, the geological history of the taiwan shallow sequence shows changes of in sedimentation and faunal composition. Due to the Antarctic glacial expansion at^14 Ma, Middle to late Miocene strata of the Western Foothills show progressive regression sedimentations associated with a decrease of benthic foraminif-eral abundance and a sharp faunal turnover event. Primary lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma in the liver is extremely rare. A few cases of lymphoepithelioma-like cholangiocarcinoma have been reported, but few radiologic features were described. We reviewed 23 cases of lymphoepithelioma-like cholangiocarcinoma reported between 1996 and 2014 and describe a rare case of a 35-year-old woman in our hospital who was diagnosed with lymphoepithelioma-like cholangiocarcinoma of the liver and was a hepatitis B carrier. the tumor(1.6 cm) in our patient appeared to be hypoechoic in sonographic images and hypodense in computed tomography(ct) images. In addition, it was homogeneous hypointense in t1-weighted magnetic resonance(MR) images(MRI) and hyperintense in t2-weighted MRI. Dynamic gadolinium-enhanced MRI showed typical image pattern of hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc). the patient underwent a laparoscopic left hepatic lobectomy, and the resected tumor consisted of well-differentiated glandular cells with extensive lymphoc.t.c infiltration that were immunoreactive to cK(AE1/AE3), cD3, and cD20. In addition, the tumor was positive for Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNA in situ hybridization. Finally, lymphoepithelioma-like cholangiocarcinoma was diagnosed. In previous studies, the incidence is highest among middle-aged people. Most tumors appeared to be hypodense with either hypovascular or hypervascular patterns in ct images. this case report is the first study to address sonography, ct, and MRI observations and delineate pathologic correlations. We suggest that the imaging pattern of lymphoepithelioma-like cholangiocarcinoma, either the typical cholangiocarcinoma pattern or a mimic of Hcc, should be considered in the differential lists for Hcc.

目的:观察黄酮对氧化剂所诱导的视网膜色素上皮细胞(RPE)的保护作用。方法:在体研究中,预先给予5g/L黄酮滴眼液(3次/d),1wk后舌下静脉注射NaIO3诱导大鼠RPE变性,在2和4wk末,采用视网膜电图(ERG)测量c波。离体研究中,采用缺氧、H2O2、NaN3和t-BHP诱导RPE细胞损伤,并用Mtt法检测细胞的存活率。结果:ERG的c波结果表明,第4wk末,黄酮抑制了由NaIO3诱导的大鼠RPE变性。离体研究结果表明,黄酮对多种氧化剂所诱导的RPE细胞损伤具有保护作用。结论:黄酮对氧化诱导的在体和离体视网膜色素上皮细胞均具有保护作用。
