A theoretical model of describing the electromagnetic and thermal dynamics of high-Tc superconducting bulks in a high-Tc superconducting Maglev system is built *** model contains the effects of hysteresis-type loss,flux flow,flux creep,and thermal diffusion on the superconducting bulks in the Maglev *** the first stage of this study,the behavior of magnetic and electric fields,as well as the distribution energy flow density in the superconducting bulk is *** results show that the flux flow and thermal diffusion affect the behaviors of the electromagnetic field in the high-Tc superconducting bulks in different ways;however,both of them contribute significantly to the energy dissipation of the superconducting bulks when they are used in the Maglev train.

Linear and nonlinear analyses of water waves in an elastic vessel are carried out to study the dramatic phenomena of Dragon Wash as well as related controllable experiments. It is proposed that the capillary edge waves are generated by parametric resonance, which is shown to be a possible mechanism for both rectangular an circular vessels. For circular vessel, the normal geometric resonance is also operating, thus greatly. enhance the dramatic effect. The mechanism of nonlinear mode-mode interaction is proposed far the generation of axisymmetric low-frequency gravity waves by the high-frequency external excitation. A simple model system is studied numerically to demonstrate explicitly this interaction mechanism.

This study presents a silicon-based pressure sensor with temperature compensation. The eight piezoresistors were designed on the polycrystalline silicon membrane and constructed by two concentric Wheatstone-bridge circuits to perform two sets of sensors. The sensor in the central circuit measures the membrane deflection caused by the combined effects of pressure and temperature, while the outer one measures only the deflection caused by the working temperature. From this arrangement, it is reliable and accurate to measure the pressure by comparing the output signals from the two concentric Wheatstone-bridge circuits. The optimal positions of the eight piezoresistors were simulated by simulation software ANSYS. The investigated pressure sensor was fabricated by the micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) techniques. The measuring performance and an indication of the conventional single Wheatstone-bridge pressure sensor is easily affected under variation of different working temperature and causes a maximum absolute error up to 45.5%, while the double Wheatstone-bridge pressure sensor is able to compensate the error, and reduces it down to 1.13%. The results in this paper demonstrate an effective temperature compensation performance, and have a great performance and stability in the pressure measuring system as well.

Based on the principle of “pre-disaster prevention outweighs rescue during disasters”, this study targets areas threatened by natural disasters, and develops an automatic algorithm based on the Prim algorithm to serve as an automatic identification system. In the face of natural disasters that disable key facilities in the region and prevent settlements from contacting the outside world or outsiders from sending rescuers to the settlements, the proposed system helps to identify whether these regions will become isolated areas and conduct disaster mitigation and relief resource allocation before any natural disaster in order to reduce potential disaster losses. An automatic identification system, based on the threshold of channel blocking due to broken roads and bridges, determines through the decision tree model and relevant patterns whether such regions will become isolated areas by identifying areas based on the results of model analysis. The proposed system’s identification results are verified by actual case histories and comparisons;the results can be used to correctly identify isolated areas. Finally, Microsoft Visual Studio C # and Google Map are employed to apply the results and to produce an information mode for the determination and decision support of isolated areas affected by natural disasters.

AIM： To assess the efficacy of metoclopramide （Met） for prevention of prolonged post-operative ileus in advanced gastric cancer patients undergoing D2 gastrectomy and intra-peritoneal chemotherapy （IPC）. METHODS： Thirty-two advanced gastric cancer patients undergoing D2 gastrectomy and IPC were allocated to two groups. Sixteen patients received Met immediately after operation （group A）, and 16 did not （group B）. Another 16 patients who underwent D2 gastrectomy without IPC were enrolled as the control group （group C）. All patients had received epidural pain control. The primary endpoints were time to first post-operative flatus and time until oral feeding with a soft diet without discomfort. Secondary endpoints were early complications during hospitalization. RESULTS： Gender, the type of resection, operating time, blood loss, tumor status and amount of narcotics were comparable in the three groups. However, the group C patients were older than those in groups A and B （67.5±17.7 vs 56.8±13.2, 57.5±11.7 years, P= 0.048）. First bowel flatus occurred after 4.35±0.93 d in group A, 4.94±1.37 d in group B, and 4.71±1.22 d in group C （P〉0.05）. Oral feeding of a sore diet was tolerated 7.21±1.92 d after operation in group A, 10.15±2.17 d in group B, and 7.53±1.35 d in group C （groups A and C vsgroup B, P〈0.05）. There was no significant difference in respect to the first flatus among the three groups. However, the time of tolerating oral intake with soft food in groups A and C patients was significantlyshorter than that in group B patients. Levels of C-reactive protein （CRP） were significantly lower in group C and there was a more prominent and prolonged response in CRP level in patients undergoing IPC. The incidence of post-operative complications was similar in the three groups except for prolonged post-operative ileus. There was no increased risk of anastomotic leakage in patients receiving Met. AIM： To assess the efficacy of premedicaton with pronase or N-acetylcysteine （NAC） at 20 min before upper gastrointestinal （UGI） endoscopy and to determine whether pronase or NAC pretreatment influences the reliability of the rapid urease test. METHODS： A total of 146 patients were prospectively and randomly assigned into the study groups according to different premedications before endoscopy. One endoscopist assessed mucosal visibility （MV） with scores ranged from 1 to 4 at four sites in the stomach. The sum of the MV scores from these four locations was defined as the total mucosal visibility （TMV） score. Identification of Hpylori was performed using CLO test, histology, and serology. RESULTS： The Group with pronase premedication had a significantly lower TMV score than did the groups with gascon and gascon water （P 〈 0.001 and P 〈 0.01, respectively）. The group with NAC had a significantly lower TMV score than the group with gascon （P 〈 0.01） and a trend of a lower MV score than the group with gascon water （P = 0.06）. The THV score did not significantly differ between the group with pronase and the group with NAC （P = 0.39 and P = 0.14, respectively）. The sensitivity and specifidty of the CLO test were 92.5% and 93.9%, respectively, in groups premedicated with pronase and NAC together.CONCLUSION： Premedication with pronase or NAC at 20 min before UGI endoscopy improves the mucosal visibility of the stomach. Neither pronase nor NAC produces any obvious interference with the CLO test for the identification of H pylori infection.

Earthquake-induced landslides are difficult to assess and predict owing to the inherent unpredictability of *** most existing studies,the landslide potential is statistically assessed by collecting and analyzing the data of historical landslide events and earthquake observation *** rainfall-induced landslides,earthquake-induced landslides cannot be predicted in advance using real-time monitoring systems,and the development of the models for these landslides should instead depend on early earthquake warnings and ***,in this study,factor analysis was performed and the frequency distribution method was employed to investigate the potential risk of the landslides caused by *** such as the slope gradient,lithology(geology),aspect,and elevation were selected and classified as influential factors to facilitate the construction of a landslide database for the area of study.
