Extraction of niobium, yttrium, and cerium from a low-grade niobium-bearing ore by roasting(NH_4)_2SO_4-Na_2SO_4-H_2SO_4 system

A novel process of extracting niobium, yttrium,and cerium from a low-grade niobium-bearing ore by the roasting（NH4）2SO4-Na2SO4-H2SO4 system was experimentally studied. The influences of various factors,such as roasting temperature, roasting time, mass ratio of agents-to-ore and particle size fraction on the extraction of valuable metals were comprehensively investigated. It is found that the roasting Na2SO4-H2SO4 system is effective to extract the niobium, yttrium, and cerium. The obtained optimum conditions for the extraction of Nb, Y, and Ce are roasting temperature of 300 °C, roasting time of 3 h, mass ratio of Na2SO4：H2SO4：Ore of 0.5：1.0：1.0, and particle size fraction of-74 lm（~95 %）. Under the optimum condition, the maximum recovery of Nb, Y, and Ce can reach90.53 %, 92.15 %, and 98.04 %, respectively. All the results generated from this study will provide the fundamentals for Nb, Y, and Ce extraction from a niobiumbearing ore with low-grade.

In the past decade, progress in the field of biohydrometallurgy had been significant. A total of 17 novel biomining microorganisms were discovered, and eight copper heap bioleaching plants and 11 gold biooxidation plants were established or expanded. In this review, it was summarized the physiological properties of the newly isolated biomining microorganisms and three novel microbial ecological methods for studying microbial community dynamics and structure. In addition, biohy- drometallurgy research on rare metals such as uranium, molybdenum, tellurium, germanium, indium, and sec- ondary rare metal resources, as well as heavy nonferrous metals such as copper, nickel, cobalt, and gold has been reviewed, with an emphasis on China. In future, further studies on bioleaching of chalcopyrite, rare metals, secondary resources from waste, and environmental pollution caused by resource utilization are necessary.

More and more antibiotics that are difficult to biodegrade have been detected in water environments threatening ecosystems and human ***,it is urgent to develop efficient water treatment methods to degrade *** this work,Co-Fe Prussian blue analogues(PBAs)with different molar ratios were synthesized for peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation to degrade sulfacetamide(SAM,10 mg/L).By increasing Co molar ratio,the PMS activation capability and electrochemical properties of PBAs were *** to its excellent reactivity(degradation efficiency of 84.2%and mineralization efficiency of 52.79%),cost benefit(electrical energy per order,0.01019 k Wh/L)and lower metal leaching([Co]=0.259 mg/L,[Fe]=0.128 mg/L),PBA-1,the as-prepared catalyst with a molar ratio of cobalt to iron of 1:1,was selected for further *** radical scavenging experiments and an electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)trapping experiments were performed and revealed that PBA-1 addition was required to produced·OH and SO_(4)^(·-)from PMS ***,we proposed a PMS activation mechanism and SAM decomposition pathways for PBA-1/PMS reaction ***,a PBA-1@polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)catalytic membrane was further prepared to expand the application potential of PBA *** PBA-1@PVDF catalytic membrane was highly effective and exhibited a great reusability;thus,it could be considered for applications in actual water treatment processes.

In order to study the bearing performance of a new type of prefabricated subway station structure(PSSS),firstly,a three-dimensional finite element model of the PSSS was established to study the nonlinear mechanics and deformation ***,the bearing mechanism of a PSSS was investigated in ***,the development law of damages to a thin-walled prefabricated component and the failure evolution mechanism of a PSSS were *** results showed that this new type of the PSSS had good bearing *** top arch structure was a three-hinged arch bearing system,and the enclosure structure and the substructure were respectively used as the horizontal and vertical support systems of the three-hinged arch structure to ensure the integrity and stability of the overall ***,the tongue-and-groove joints could effectively transmit the internal force between the components and keep the components deformed in *** rigidity degradation of the PSSS caused by the accumulation of damages to the spandrel,hance,arch foot,and enclosure structure was the main reason of its loss of bearing *** existing thin-walled components design had significant advantages in weight reduction,concrete temperature control,components hoisting,transportation and assembly construction,which achieved a good balance between safety,usability and economy.

In this work,a novel approach of leaching valuable metals,such as niobium,yttrium and cerium,from a niobium-bearing ore of low grade by roasting KHSO_(4)-H_(2)SO_(4)system was experimentally *** the work,the effects of roasting temperature,roasting time,mass ratio of agents to ore and the types of leaching agents on the extraction of Nb,Y and Ce were investigated,and the roasting KHSO_(4)-H_(2)SO_(4)-ore system was thought as an effective method to extract these valuable *** was found that the recovery of Nb,Y and Ce can,respectively,reach 90.20%,97.22%and 98.41%in condition of roasting temperature of 300℃,roasting time of 2 h,mass ratio of KHSO_(4)-to-H_(2)SO_(4)to ore of 0.5:1:1,particle size of-74 lm(~95%),leaching solution of oxalic acid(30 g·L^(-1)),leaching temperature of 90℃and leaching liquid-to-solid ratio of 5:*** leaching kinetics of the calcined Nb-bearing ore in oxalic acid solution was successfully modeled by chemical reaction model,and the apparent activity energy was obtained to be14.16 kJ·mol^(-1).The results generated from this work will provide the fundamentals for extracting Nb,Y and Ce from a niobium-bearing ore of low grade and have potential applications value in future.

The direct above-threshold ionization(ATI) of diatomic molecules in linearly-polarized infrared and extreme ultraviolet(IR+XUV) laser fields is investigated by the frequency–domain theory based on the nonperturbative quantum electrodynamics. The destructive interference fringes on the angle-resolved ATI spectra, which are closely related to the molecular structure, can be well fitted by a simple predictive formula for any alignment of the molecular axis. By comparing the direct ATI spectra for monochromatic and two-color laser fields, we found that the XUV laser field can both raise the ionization probability and the kinetic energy of the ionized electron, while the infrared(IR) laser field can broaden the energy distribution of the ionized electron. Our results demonstrate that, by using IR+XUV two-color laser fields, the angle-resolved spectra of the direct ATI can image the structural information of molecules without considering the recollision process of the ionized electron.
