The application of artificial immunity and fuzzy kernel clustering in data classification is studied,and a new hybrid clustering algorithm incorporating artificial immunity into fuzzy kernel clustering for pattern recognition is proposed in this *** algorithm,by combining kernel-based fuzzy clustering with artificial immune evolution algorithm,which learns from the mechanism of immunocyte clone,memory and affinity maturation in natural immune system,operates on antibody with clone,hyper-mutation and restraint in each *** algorithm can quickly obtain global optima,and perfectly solve the flaws of the fuzzy c-means and kernel clustering algorithm,which are sensitive to initialization and easy to involve local *** experiments on IRIS data as well as compressor fault data demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the new algorithm.

Silica whispering gallery mode（WGM） microcavities were fabricated by the buffered oxide etcher and potassium hydroxide wet etching technique without any subsequent chemical or laser treatments. The silicon pedestal underneath was an octagonal pyramid, thus providing a pointed connection area with the top silica microdisk while weakly influencing the resonance modes. The sidewalls of our microdisks were wedge shaped, which was believed to be an advantage for the mode confinement. Efficient coupling from and to the 60 μm diameter microdisk structure was achieved using tapered optical fibres, exhibiting a quality factor of 1.5×10^4 near a wavelength of 1550 nm. Many resonance modes were observed, and double transverse electric modes were identified by theoretical calculations. The quality factor of the microdisks was also analysed to deduce the cavity roughness. The wet etching technique provides a more convenient avenue to fabricate WGM microdisks than conventional fabrication methods.

With the development of modern oceanic observation technologies, coastal survey data have been experiencing a substantial growth. The integration management of the data from different disciplines, different sources and different formats has become a major research field in coastal geomorphology by using Geographic Information System （GIS）. This paper puts forward a new methodology framework of GIS techniques in coastal ocean geomorphology, including data acquisition, process, analysis, and representation. It focuses on some major GIS techniques to study the land-ocean interaction mechanism, such as spatial analysis, submarine topography model and three-dimension （3D） visualization, and apply its result to coastal urban planning, harbor site selection and geomorphology environment about coral reef and islands on the continental shelf. The case studies cover the whole coastal ocean to serve the social community, economical development and diplomatic rights for decision-making all round in the coastal zone. The research shows clearly that the application of coastal multi-source geospatial platform has changed the traditional coastal geomorphology science dramatically from its research scope, fields and methods, however, as made clear in this paper, extracting accurate information from remote sensing data and GIS databases for coastal geomorphological applications is a nontrivial challenge that requires the combined knowledge and skills of information scientists and geomorphologists.

Catalytic performance of Pt/HY-β in n-octane hydroisomerization

A bifunctional catalyst Pt/HY-β was prepared from a bimicroporous composite zeolite Y-β. Characterization results showed that the specific surface area, pore volume, and acid amount of the catalyst Pt/HY-β all decreased compared to the original zeolite. The catalytic performance of this catalyst in n-octane hydroisomerization was investigated in a fixed bed stainless steel tubular reactor. The results showed that at a hydrogen/n-octane volume ratio of 1000, pressure of 0.6 MPa, temperature of 230 ℃ and LHSV of 3 h^-1, the conversion of n-octane, yield of liquid, hydrocracking rate and yield of iso-octane were 52.32%, 88.66%, 12.60%, 39.51%, respectively.

Pipe routing design and assembly planning for complicated products are time-consuming and difficult, and Virtual Reality （VR） technology provides engineers a new and efficiency way. Based on the analysis of pipeline’s characteristic, a pipe modeling method based on control points model in virtual environment is introduced, and the pipe are built though recognizing and organizing those control points. The process of pipeline layout was introduced. Some rules are applied in the process of pipeline layout. The outcome of the pipeline layout is used for pipe assembly simulation in virtual environment directly. The unreasonable outcome can be found earlier through pipe assembly simulation. This paper focuses on the key realization techniques of pipeline layout and assembly simulation in virtual environment, including digital model of pipeline, pipeline layout technique, real-time collision detection in the process of pipe assembly simulation. Eventually, a prototype is developed and has illustrated the feasibility of the proposed above methods and algorithms.

The effects of Zn,P and Mg additions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Nb-22Ti-3Si alloys were studied. The phases of Nbss and Nb3Si presented in Nb-22Ti-3Si(AC1),Nb-22Ti-3Si-0.2Zn(AC2) and Nb-22Ti-3Si-0.2Mg alloys(AC3). The Nb-22Ti-3Si-0.2P(AC4) alloy consisted of Nbss,Nb3Si network and eutectic cell of Nbss/α-*** the addition of Zn,the Nb3Si network was broken and the volume fraction of Nbss increased from 92%to 96%.The values of fracture toughness of the alloy AC2 at ambient temperature increased from 22,58 MPa·m1/2to 26.41 MPa·m1/*** values of compressive strength for the Zn-added alloy at ambient temperature and 1 250℃increased from 1 525.10 MPa to 1 652.44 MPa,and from 268.52 MPa to 284.18 MPa,*** with the alloy AC1,the addition of P promoted the formation ofα-Nb5Si phase but the values of fracture toughness and compressive strength of alloy at room temperature and 1 250℃*** contrast,the addition of Mg improved the compressive strength at ambient temperature and 1250℃from 1 525.10 MPa to 1 618.08 MPa and from 268.52 MPa to 348.28 MPa,*** relationship between the microstructure and the mechanical properties was discussed.
