To manifest the function involvement of mast cells in the mechanism of acupuncture effects, Zusanli (ST36) in SD rats was investigated and the latency of tail flick response was taken as a measured for analgesic effects. Injection of disodium chromoglycate (DSCG) was conducted to inhibit the activation of mast cells in order to see the effect of them during acupuncture. The pain threshold increased during the first 20 min of acupuncture. Inhibition of mast cell degranulation by injection of DSCG significantly counteracted the analgesic effects of acupuncture. Paraffin slices of the acupoint from rats showed that mast cells degranulation significantly increased on acupuncture without DSCG treatment. Numbers of mast cells in acupoints are higher than those in non-acupoints. It suggested that there are close relationships connecting mast cell to acupoints and meridians in respect of structure and function.

Through pattern compared, it can judge the sort of fault condition. The method has important applied worthiness to gearbox fault detect and diagnosis.

The global economic crisis triggers some social problems. Beijing model shows strong robustness facing the impact from economic crisis. It is more intuitional and scientific to read social formation using the natural sciences and engineering. The development of human being is similar to the evolution of human being, so Beijing model is explained by using bionics which shows that there is a complex social change and human evolution occurs. The social development forms a stable neural network model. The number of Input layer neurons of neural network was decided by the number of the factors that determine the direction of social development. The number of output neurons are decided by the number of the social properties that are made up of society, while the middle layer neurons mainly dispose information that come from input layer. Use of genetic algorithm （GA） adjusts the factors that affect the social development in order to attain higher heredity of social neural networks and use of fuzzy mathematics transfers qualitative description to quantitative analysis. That Beijing model was confirmed as mainly ascribable to action competence of the leader and spirit from our ancestor. The social genetic algorithm neural network adopts bionic technology to read Beijing model, for example fuzzy algorithm, genetic algorithm and neural network. At the same time we also analyze the cause of robustness and the method to solidify Beijing model.

An innovation is conducted on a K190πK rail auto welding machine because of its poor stability in quality of welding joints. A new control system based on a programmable controller is designed to replace the old one. The new control system is of higher accuracy in controlling sequence and good ability in anti disturbance, and is convenient to operate. The comparison tests are carried out. The experimental results show that the quality of welded joints is greatly increased by the improved welding mechine.

Frequency Modulation of High-Speed Mill Chatter

＜正＞ Mill chatter is a common phenomenon in the metal strip rolling process. Product defects caused by mill vibration were reported worldwide during last two decades, which is usually classified as torque vibration of the driving system with low frequencies and vertical vibration of the mill stand with comparative higher frequencies. The frequency range of the vertical vibration is wide （in general from more than 100 Hz to more than 1 000 Hz）, and the vibration phenomena are very complex, even it is very difficult to determine the vibration causes, which is followed the name "ghost vibration". During a fieldwork to measure the vibration in high-speed rolling mills, a frequency modulation phenomenon was identified, which had not been reported in strip rolling community. This article makes a theoretical investigation to the newly encountered phenomenon in strip rolling process. According to an analysis of the mill roller bearings, the periodic change of stiffness of roller bearings at the fixed load orientation, together with the periodic change of the effective errors of the bearings, may cause amplitude and frequency modulation,based on the theories of Fourier series and Bessel function. The comparison between test results and theoretical analysis implies that the frequency modulation is caused by the effective errors of the mill roller bearings that have 12 ripples on the internal ring of the bearings.

A fault fuzzy diagnostic system(FFDS) based on neural network and fuzzy logic hybrid is proposed. FFDS consists of two modes: a fuzzy inference mode and a rule learning mode. The fuzzy inference rules are stored in the memory layer. The excitation levels of the memory neurons reflect the matching degrees between the input vectors and the prototype rules. In the rule learning mode, the rules can be produced automatically through the cluster process. As an application case of this diagnostic system, the fault diagnosis experiment of the rotating axis is simulated.
