The data on the hillslope and channelized debris flows in the Shitou area of central Taiwan occurred during Typhoons Toraji and Nali in 2001 were applied in this paper. The geomorphic parameters, including the flow length, gully gradient, drainage area and form factor of the debris flows were determined by spatial analysis using a Geographic Information System (GIS) based on the data derived from field investigation, aerial photographs, and topographical maps. According to such determined geomorphic parameters, the threshold conditions and empirical equations, such as the relationship between the gully gradient and drainage area and that between gully length and drainage area and topographic parameter, are presented and used to distinguish the geomorphic characteristics between the channelized and hillslope debris flows.

In this paper, the changes in the annual runoff and sediment transport have been assessed by using the long term observation data from 10 gauging stations on 10 large rivers across china from far north to far south. It is found that the annual sediment yield has generally had a decreasing trend in the past half century. According to the changes in annual runoff and the sediment yield per area, rivers in china can be classified into the following three groups: 1) rivers with decreasing annual sediment transport and stable runoff; 2) rivers with both decreasing annual sediment transport and runoff and 3) rivers with greatly reduced annual sediment transport and decreasing annual runoff. The results indicate that, in all southern rivers (to the south of the Huaihe River including the Huaihe River), there has been little change in average annual runoff but a dramatic decrease in annual sediment transport. In the northern rivers, however, both the annual sediment yield and the runoff show significant evidence of reduction. To further investigate the recent changes in annual runoff and sediment transport, the short-term observation data from these 10 gauging stations in the recent 10 years have been assessed. Results show that both the annual sediment transport and the runoff have decreased significantly in the northern rivers in the past 10 years. Using the Yellow River at the Lijin Station as an example, the average annual runoff for the last 10 years is only 1/3 of the long term average value and the average annual sediment yield of the last 10 years is only 1/4 of the long term average value. More unusually, in the Yongding River the annual sediment yield has approached zero and the runoff has decreased significantly. In addition, the impacts of human activities on the changes in both runoff and sediment transport have been discussed.

The relation between runoff volume and sediment yield for individual events in a given watershed receives little attention compared to the relation between water discharge and sediment yield, though it may underlie the event-based sediment-yield model for large-size watershed. The data observed at 12 experimental subwatersheds in the Dalihe river watershed in hilly areas of Loess Plateau, North china, was selected to develop and validate the relation. The peak flow is often considered as an important factor affecting event sediment yield. However, in the study areas, sediment concentration remains relatively constant when water discharge exceeds a certain critical value, implying that the heavier flow is not accompanied with the higher sediment transport capacity. Hence, only the runoff volume factor was considered in the sediment-yield model. As both the total sediment and runoff discharge were largely produced during the heavy-discharge stage, and the sediment concentration was negligibly variable during this stage, a proportional function can be used to model the relation between event runoff volume and sediment yield for a given subwatershed. The applicability of this model at larger spatial scales was also discussed, and it was found that for the Yaoxinzhuang station at the Puhe River basin, which controls a drainage area of 2264km2, a directly proportional relation between event runoff volume and sediment yield may also exist.

Based on the conditional standard variances estimated by GARCH（1,1） models as risks,the article uses the quantlie regression method to study the relationship between risk and return in Chinese stock *** with GARCH-M（1,1） models,the results indicate that:（1）the influence of risk to return under different quantiles is different,which is contrary to the traditional opinion that high risk is necessarily related to high *** fact,the risk has positive effect in return in high quantile and negative effect in return in low quantile.（2） The influence of risk to return under different quantiles is increasing .So our conclusions will provide the decision-making for investors and CSRC.

The bed-load movement and the evolution of the Changjiang (Yangtze) Estuary are studied by using the geographic information system and the remote sensing image processing software Analysis on the erosion and siltation of the river mouth is performed for the period 1988-2000. The possible location and thickness of the future deposition areas in the estuarine channels are predicted.

Partnering model is the new model. There is an obvious disadvantage of D.B.B （Design-Bid-Build method） that the supply chain is separated from links based on a series of different functions into the scope of the contract. Partnering model can solve the problem emerged in the colleges and universities construction projects. There are two kinds of models: tactics partnering model and strategic partnering model. The paper analyses the difference between them. In this paper of partnering model will be game analyzed in two ways: one is in vertical game analysis and horizontal game analysis, the other is in cooperation game analysis and noncooperation game analysis. Two kinds of partnering model are the tactics partnering model and strategic partnering model. This paper is emphasized on the latter. The content includes applicable conditions, organization structure of strategic partnering model. The strategic partnering model of colleges and universities full life-span cycle construction projects is illustrated in this paper. And the conduct flow is also showed in the paper. In the end the conclusion is that the strategic partnering model of full life-span cycle is better for construction projects.

Based on hydrographs of "81.7"flood and topographies of 1980 and 1993, a 1-D mathematical model of flood is developed to study the effects of the Gezhouba Project on flood propagation along the Yichang-Jianli river reaches in the Yangtze River. Calculations and analysis show that, after 13 years’ operation of the Gezhouba Project, the flood peak stages have been lowered, the flood curves of stage-discharge relationship have been moved, however, the effects on the flood discharges and storages can be neglected relatively.

This paper is to explore ownership structure and corporate governance effecting on earnings management,especially on how to constrain executive compensation motivation to earnings management. We use five variables to quantify various corporate governance mechanisms including ownership structure and executive compensation for 1024 listed firms sample from 2007 to 2008. We find that earnings management is positively affected by executive compensation motivation,while this influence is constrained by ownership concentration. This finding reflects the current situation of corporate governance in china. Therefore,such a significant relationship is useful to control level of earnings management and improve the china’s capital market developing healthily,stably and harmoniously.
